Numerical simulation of a toroidal single-phase natural circulation loop with a k-kL-ω transitional turbulence model

  • The wall friction correlations of oscillatory natural circulation loops are highly loop-specific, making it difficult to perform 1-D system simulations before obtaining specific experimental data. To better predict the friction characteristics, the nonlinear dynamics of a toroidal single-phase natural circulation loop were numerically investigated, and the transition effect was considered. The k-kL-ω transitional turbulence and k-ω SST turbulence models were used to compute the flow characteristics of the loop under different heating powers varying from 0.48 to 1.0 W/cm2, and the results of both models were compared with previous experiments. The mass flow rates and friction factors predicted by the k-kL-ω model showed a better agreement with the experimental data than the results of the k-ω SST model. The oscillation frequencies calculated using both models agreed well with the experimental data. The k-kL-ω transitional turbulence model provided better friction-factor predictions in oscillatory natural circulation loops because it can reproduce the temporal and spatial variation of the wall shear stress more accurately by capturing the movement of laminar, transition turbulent zones inside unstable natural circulation loops. This study shows that transition effects are a possible explanation for the highly loop-specific friction correlations observed in various oscillatory natural circulation loops.

병원 밖 심정지 환자의 전문소생술이 자발순환 회복에 미치는 영향 (Effect of advanced life support (ALS) on recovery of spontaneous circulation in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patients)

  • Purpose: This retrospective study analyzed the effects of advanced life support on the recovery of spontaneous circulation (SC) in patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Methods: The subjects of this study were out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patients transferred to the hospital by 119 paramedics in Gyeongsangbuk-do from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2022, amounting to a total of 2,524 patients. Results: The younger the age, the higher the probability of recovery of spontaneous circulation, and it was higher when cardiac arrest occurred in a public place or was witnessed. If the patient's initial electrocardiogram rhythm is defibrillable, the probability of recovery from spontaneous circulation is high. The recovery of the spontaneous circulation rate decreased with time between the time of report and the time of contact with the patient. Recovery of the spontaneous circulation rate was high when mechanical chest compression devices and advanced airways were not used. Additionally, this study had positive effects on defibrillation, peripheral intravenous catheter insertion, and epinephrine infusion. Conclusion: Paramedics should actively perform peripheral intravenous catheter insertion and epinephrine infusion, and it should be possible to clearly determine whether defibrillation should be applied through electrocardiographic education.

  • To invedtigate the effect of refrigerate case on the Quality of strawberry during circulation, the temperature changes on the amounts of dry ice and ice cube were examined. And also, the effect of precooling on the changes in temperature and quality of the fruits were studied. Strawberry precooling-treated at 4$^{\circ}C$ for 24hours was prolonged the shelf-life, and Quality was Progressed.150g of dry-ice Per kg of the strawberry was kept quality. It was prolonged more 2 days than present circulation system.

선택적 고체순환을 위한 2탑 유동층 시스템 연구 (A Study on Two-interconnected Fluidized Beds System for Selective Solid Circulation)

  • 선택적 고체순환을 위한 신개념 2탑 유동층 공정에 적용하기 위해 고체분리기와 고체순환시스템을 개발하였다. 고체분리기에 의한 고체분리속도는 고체분사노즐의 유속, 고체층 높이, 고체분사노즐의 직경이 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며 유동화 속도의 영향은 크지 않았다. 본 연구에서 개발한 고체분리기를 이용하여 굵은입자($212{\sim}300{\mu}m$)와 고운입자($63{\sim}106{\mu}m$)의 분리가 가능하였으며 고체분리속도는 66~453 g/min의 범위를 나타내었다. 고체순환시스템의 고체순환속도는 고체분사노즐의 유속, 고체층 높이, 고체유입구멍의 개수가 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며 유동화 속도의 영향은 크지 않았다. 본 연구에서 개발한 고체순환시스템을 이용하여 고운입자의 순환이 가능하였으며 고체순환속도는 65~390 g/min의 범위를 나타내었다. 본 연구에서 개발된 고체분리기와 고체순환시스템을 적용하여 선택적 고체순환이 가능한 2탑 유동층 공정을 구성하였으며 장기연속운전 가능성을 확인하기 위해 약 20시간까지 고체분리-순환 장기연속운전을 실증하였다. 두 유동층의 압력강하 값과 고체분리속도가 안정적으로 유지되어 고체순환이 원활하게 유지되는 것을 확인하였다.

미술계뮤지엄의 다층화에 따른 동선체계의 변화에 관한 연구 - 유럽 소재 뮤지엄을 중심으로 - (A Study on Circulation System in conjunction with the multi-floored Art Museum - With reference to art museum in Europe -)

  • In Europe, traditionally the low-rised buildings for public art museum have been constructed since the 18th century like any other buildings and these are because of the technical issue for construction difficulty. Even if the low-rised art museum buildings are still continued for it's construction, gradually the high-rised art museum buildings begin to be build due to the development of contemporary technology in high-dense modern urban space. This tendency of high-rised art museum building in recent years is expected to affect on the interior space of it and most of all the spatial change in conjunction with circulation system variation is remarkable. Because the circulation system in art museum means tourist's spatial experience and it normally controls the experience of knowledge in art museum. This study is to understand how the multi-floored art museums in Europe affect to the spatial structure and how this is related to the circulation system. And also the study raised an issue on what it's social meaning is. Through these analysis the study can provide the meaning of multi-floored art museum and basic indication in art museum planning. To understand this, the study calculated the number of stories, number of vertical circulation and number of ring-structure space. Also the study tired to use space syntax tools, which are connectivity, integration value, integration value in major space, integration value in vertical circulation and intelligibility value. those tools alculated topological transfiguration of the whole space.Throughout the study, it was concluded that the influence of high-rised art museum in Europe changed the spatial structure and circulation system. The topological center of art museum that has been the grand space since 18th century changed to the vertical circulation due to the it's roll of distributing visitors to each floor. It became a starting point of spatial deployment and experience in art museum.

대학도서관 대출데이터분석을 통한 장서 이용행태 및 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Use Behaviors of Books through Circulation Data Analysis in an Academic Library)

  • 이 연구는 대학도서관 대출데이터를 활용하여 이용자들의 대출행태를 장서의 대출수명과 주제영역, 특정 이용자층과의 연관성 등의 다양한 관점에서 분석하였다. K대학도서관의 2006년부터 2015년까지 10년간 이용자들의 연도별 대출행태는 매해 20%의 대출도서가 전체 대출의 50%를 차지한다는 '대출도서 20/50 법칙'을 따르는 것으로 확인하였다. 또한 각 대출도서의 도서연령과 대출횟수의 연령별 누적분포를 구하여 도서 반감기를 정의하고 이를 수식화하였다. 종단적 관점에서의 핵심장서를 산출하여 그 특성을 주제별, 구성원별, 계열별, 연도별 등의 측면에서 분석하였다. 종단적 관점의 전체 대출도서와 핵심장서의 대출패턴은 모든 측면에서 매우 상이하게 분석되어 10년 동안 꾸준히 핵심장서로 분류되는 도서들의 역할이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 10년간 꾸준히 대출되는 도서, 즉 핵심장서의 특성이 명확하다는 의미이며, 이러한 특성을 반영한 효율적인 장서구성정책을 개발할 필요성이 있다는 근거가 된다.

순환골재를 이용한 환경 친화형 호안 블록제품의 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on the development of environment-friendly tetrapod using recycled aggregate)

  • The purpose of this study is to enhance the development of construction waste-recycling technologies and its economical efficiency by developing environment-friendly tetrapod, precast concrete, where recycled aggregate is used in order to promote recycling of waste concrete. The results of concrete mechanic characteristics experiments by the circulation coarse aggregate-replacement ratio are as the following. The circulation aggregate is lower and higher than natural aggregate in specific gravity and absorption ratio, respectively so that in case of mix proportioning, unit volume increases, while unit aggregate amount decreases. From the result, sufficient experiments of physical characteristics of circulation aggregate are required to get proper mix proportioning. When circulation aggregate-replacement ratio increases, compressive strength tends to decrease comprehensively, but 50% of replacement ratio is good enough to use. When circulation coarse aggregate's replacement ratio is 0%, drying shrinkage, which causes cracks in concrete and deteriorates durability, shows the minimum length change and the higher the ratio, the larger the length change. Thus. when using circulation coarse aggregate, drying shrinkage should be fairly examined. In freezing-and-thawing resistance, weight loss tends to comprehensively increase its loss at the circulation aggregate-mixed site. And the examination of surface aggregate-omission ratio is further needed and dynamic elastic modulus and durability factor(DF) require more study as well. In order to use circulation aggregate to tetrapod, a clear standard for strength should be first prepared and at the same time, more study about durability is needed.

무균돼지 사육시설 계획을 위한 사례연구 - 공간구성 및 동선계획을 중심으로 - (A Case Study on Swine Farms for the Planning of Gnotobiotic Pigs' Facility - Focused on Space Organization and Circulation System -)

  • According to the increase of demand for human organs such as kidney, heart, pancreas, joint, and cornea for therapeutic transplantation, the production of alternative organs based on Gnotobiotic Pigs gains a lot of concerns all over the world. However, it is not common to design and build Gnotobiotic Pigs' facility, and there are only a few those facilities and planning principles for them. Considering the situation above, this paper tries to develop planning guidelines for space organization and circulation system of standardized Germ Free Pig's facility on the bases of case analysis. The results of this study are as follows. At first, four swine farms including a Gntobiotic Pig's facility has been analysed from the point of space organization and circulation system. Secondly, the space zoning of Gnotobiotic Pigs' facility has been proposed into 5 groups : pigs' area, adminstration area, operating room and laboratory, service area, and mechanical area. Space components of each group have been presented also. Finally, circulation system of Gnotobiotic Pigs' facility has been explored from a operational point of view. This, also, includes human circulation, pig's circulation, and goods' circulation. This study has some limitations because it does not consider the SOPs(standard operational policies) of that facility to the fullest measure and does not suggest space area of each part, either. Despite of some weaknesses, it is expected that this study can give some useful guidelines for the design and planning of Germ Free Pigs' facilities.

미술관 전시실의 공간형태와 동선의 상관관계 연구 - 연결로(Connectors)의 위치에 따른 공간 유형 중심으로 - (A Correlation Between Spatial Configuration and Circulation in Exhibition Space - Focused on the Position of Connectors -)

  • In modern city, art museum is regarded as significant institutions because it includes educational roles beyond the means of facilities for historical exhibitions. Based on these flow, various research of museum's space with view from the operational point to the spatial analysis point has been approached. Moreover, it is required to address human behavior in art museum space on the ground that lots of audience move simultaneously. In the field of interior architecture, it is also necessary to analyze how design elements affect the human behavior directly and use the method of controling a circulation. In this research, based on the role and importance of the basic components of the interior space, re-interprets the exhibition space based on the relevant theory, to comprehensively examine the influence the shape of the space is on the substantially walking behavior. Therefore, first is to determine whether the spatial type corresponding to the position of the connectors in the exhibition space. Second is to conduct the investigation observation for gathering the actual viewing exhibition circulation. Finally, it analyzed whether the observed actual circulation and planned circulation matched. As the result, the position of the connectors is that causes the difference of the spatial configuration, which affects the viewing circulation was found. The significance of the research is to present the form to plans of the interior space as a method of reducing congestion perception of viewing circulation.

효종조(孝宗朝) 행전사목(行錢事目)과 행전책(行錢策), 성과와 한계 (The Development of Coin Circulation Institutes and their Regional Impact during the Reign of King Hyojong(孝宗))

  • 이 논문은 효종조에 실시된 행전책의 성과와 한계를 분석하기 위한 목적으로 작성되었다. 이를 위해 효종 연간 김육을 중심으로 추진했던 행전책을 담고 있는 사목(事目)을 살펴보았다. 1650년(효종 1년) 시장에 추포가 화폐로 유통되는 문제를 제어하기 위한 추포금단(?布禁斷) 조치가 내려졌다. 여기에는 추포가 물가를 교란시키고 있다는 표면적 이유와 더불어 국폐(國幣)에 준하는 면포를 유통시키기 위한 목적이 있었다. 이를 통해 국가는 유통화폐 통제력을 강화하여 동전유통 정책의 추진력을 확보고자 했다. 1651년(효종 2년) 추포에 대한 단속과 동시에 서로(西路)에 대한 행전책(行錢策)을 실시했다. 행전의 명목은 흉년에 진휼을 위한 재원 확보와 국가 재원의 충원이었다. 서로행전(西路行錢)의 성과에 따라 행전권을 확대하기 위해 경중행전(京中行錢)을 위한 사목이 마련되었다. 사목은 시장에서 동전으로 물건을 거래하는 것은 물론 관청에서도 동전을 사용하도록 강제 하는 내용이었다. 이를 통해 국가 주도의 행전책에 대한 시장의 신인도를 높임과 동시에 정책적 강제성을 담보하려 했다. 행전 확대 정책은 동전공급의 문제로 한계에 직면했다. 1652년(효종 3년) 기전행전(畿甸行錢)과 함께 전세에 대한 전납(錢納)이 시도되었다. 그러나 동철(銅鐵) 부족으로 인한 주전제한으로 행전의 의려움이 있었다. 그에 따라 1655년(효종 6년) 행전사목을 수정 한 경정과조(更定科條)가 제정되었다. 이 사목은 동전의 가치를 미(米)와 은(銀)을 기준으로 책정하고 환전(換錢)을 위한 점포를 널리 설치하는 내용이었다. 이러한 정책은 국가에서 동전 유통을 강제하고 이를 통해 안정적인 재원을 확보하려는 목적이었다. 1656년(효종 7년) 시장에서 동전 유통의 한계와 전납을 위한 동전 공급과 확보의 제약이라는 문제점이 중첩되어 '파전(罷錢)'에 이르렀다. 효종조 김육을 중심으로 추진된 행전책은 시장에서 동전이 유통되는 경험을 축적함과 동시에 정책적 시행착오를 확보하는 성과가 있었다. 이러한 점이 1678년 동전이 전국적으로 유통될 수 있었던 배경 중 하나로 작용했다고 볼 수 있다. 다만, 효종 재위기의 정책 방향이 시장이 아닌 국가의 재정 확보와 보전에 있었다는 점은 전면적인 행전을 제약하는 한계 중 하나로 작용하였다. 이 시기 청나라의 갈등에 따라 북벌(北伐)을 대비하기 위한 재정이 요구되었기 때문이었다.
