들깨박의 첨가가 흰쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Addition of Defatted Perilla on Lipid Metabolism in Rats)

  • This study was designed to obseve the effect of defatted perilla as a dietary fiber on lipid components of serum feces and liver in rats. Serum cholesterol and triglyceride were signfican-ly decreased in defatty perilla added groups. total lipid cholesterol and triglyceride of feces were significantly increased in defatted perilla added groups. Liver phospholipid content was higher in the defatted perilla added groups. The other lipid components of the liver were not affected by the defatted perilla administration. These results suggest the possibitlity that defatted perilla have a reducing effect of serum cholesterol and triglyceride through the incre-ment of feacal excretion of lipid component and phospholipid in liver.

Hypolipemic and Hypoglycemic Activities of Prunus davidiana in High Fat-Fed Rats

  • Blood lipid levels in rats with high fat-fed hyperlipemia were determined after intraperitoneal administration of a methanolic extract of Prunus davidiana Fr. stems. Administration of the methanolic extract for 6 days produced a significant decrease of blood triglyceride and total cholesterol, and the atherogenic index was also improved. In addition to the hypolipemic effect, the methanolic extract was also shown to be effective in reducing an elevated level of glucose in rats with hyperlipemia resulting from high-fat feeding. On the other hand, blood triglyceride and total cholesterol in rats fed with stock diet were not affected by administration of the methanolic extract even if there was a tendency to decrease. No significant change was also found in the level of glucose. Thus, it is suggested that this methanolic extract probably may increase the metabolic utilization only when fed with excess fat.

Effect of YH439 on Fatty Liver induced with Orotic acid, Nicotinamide and Ethionine in Rats

  • 새로운 간장질환 치료제로 개발중인 YH439가 orotic acid, nicotinamide 및 ethionine에 의해 유발되는 지방간에 대한보호 및 치료효과를 관찰하였다. 웅성 SD계 rat에 orotic acid(1%) 또는 nicotinamide(2%)가 첨가된 사료를2주간 섭취시켜 유발된 지방간에 대한 YH439의 보호 및 치료효과와 ethionine(100mg/kg, i.p.)투여로 유도되는 지방간에 대한 YM439의 보호효과를 관찰하기 위하여 간 조직 중 triglyceride, cholesterol 및 phospholipid의 함량을 측정하여 비교하였다. 그 결과, erotic acid 또는 nicotinamide의 섭취로 인해 랫드의 간 조직 중 triglyceride, cholesterol 및 phospholipid의 함량은 1.5-3배정도 증가하였으며, 이 증가된 지질들은 YH439 100, 200mg/kg 투여에 의해 유의성 있게 억제되었다. 또한 ethionine투여에 의해서도 랫드의 간 조직 중 triglyceride, cholesterol 및 phospholipid의 함량은 약 2배정도 증가되었으며, YH439 전저치에 의해 이 현상들이 억제되는 효과를 나타내었다.

체외순환에 따른 혈청 지단백의 변화에 관한 연구 (Changes of plasma lopoproteins during and after cardiopulmonary bypass)

  • Among the many deleterious effects of cardiopulmonary bypass[CPB], deterioration of plasma lipoprotein is a significant problem. Break-down of lipoprotein releases free fatty acids into the systemic circulation which, in turn, can cause microembolism. This study conducted on 30 patients undergoing CPB, was designed to elucidate the changes of plasma lipoproteins during and after CPB. Blood samples were taken at pre-CPB, on-CPB 30 minutes and 60 minutes, postoperative 1st, 3rd, 7th days. The levels of total cholesterol and triglyceride were measured and lipoprotein was subdivided into three kinds on electrophoresis. During CPB, the amounts of plasma total cholesterol and triglyceride decreased significantly and were recovered to pre-CPB levels after postoperative third day. There was no significant correlation between the duration and the severity of decrease in plasma total cholesterol and triglyceride levels. During CPB, the fraction of VLDL decreased and that of LDL increased. After cessation of CPB, the fraction of LDL decreased and that of HDL increased. After postoperative 1st day, the fraction of HDL decreased and that of LDL increased.

갈근추출물이 고지방식이를 섭취한 흰쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Extrasct of Pueraria radix on Lipid Metabolism in Rats Fed High Fat Diet)

  • This study was designed to investigate the effect of Pueraria radix extract on lipid metabolism in the rats fed high fat diet. Male sprague dawley rats were given 5% Pueraria radix extract and fed diet containing 20 weight % fat. The results obtained were summarized as follows. Serum ALT and AST activities were reduced by Pueraria radix extract. Levels of total lipid, total cholesterol and triglyceride in the serum were higher in the HF group than in the control, but showed no significant differences between control and HF Pue group. Liver total lipid, total cholesterol and triglyceride contents were increased by high fat diet, but were lower in the HF Pue group than in the HF group. Fat absorption rate was increased with high fat diet feeding and higher in the HF Pue group than in the HF group.

랫트의 실험적 동맥경화증에 대한 칠성장어유 및 옥수수유의 예방적 효과 (Preventive Effect of Lamprey Oil and Corn Oil on the Experimental Atherosclerosis in Rats)

  • 콜레스테롤과 Vitamin D2로 유발시킨 동맥경화증 랫트에 칠성장어유와 옥수수유의 급여에 따른 예방적 효과를 조사할 목적으로 다음 네 개의 식이군으로 나누어 실험한 바, 첫째군은 정상대조군, 둘째군은 콜레스테롤(40/kg) 과 Vitamin D2(300,000 IU/kg)를 시험개시 1일부터 연속적으로 4일간 투여한 동맥 경화증 대조군, 셋째군은 동맥경화증 유발 처치와 함께 15% 칠성 장어유 식이(w/w)를 8일간 급여한 칠성장어유 식이군, 넷째군은 동맥경화증 유발처치와 함께 15% 옥수수유 식이 (w/w)를 8일간 급여한 옥수수유 식이군으로 하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 동맥경화증 대조군은 정상대조군에 비하여 혈청 중의 총지질, 인지질. 총콜레스테롤, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-chlesterol 치의 현저한 증가를 보였고 (p<0.01), 또한 심장의 중성지방 및 콜레스테롤치의 증가(p<0.01), 대동맥의 중성지방(p<0.01) 및 콜레스테롤치 (p<0.05)를 보였다. 한편 대동맥은 심한 손상으로 내피세포의 탈락 및 내막과 중막에 석회화, 괴사, 지방 침착을 보였고, 관상동맥은 석회화, 괴사, 백혈구의 침윤이 현저하게 관찰되었다. 칠성장어유 식이군은 정상대조군에 비하여 혈청 중성지방치의 r마소 (p<0.01), 혈청 HDL-cholesterol 치의 증가(p<0.01), 심장콜레스테롤치 (p<0.05),의 증가를 보였고, 동맥경화증 대조군에 비하여는 혈청 중의 총지질, 중성지방, 인지질, 총콜레스테롤, LDL-cholesterol , VLDL-cholesterol 치 (p<0.01), 및 LDL치의 감소(p<0.05), 또한 간장 콜레스테롤치의 증가(p<0.05), 심장의 중성지방 (p<0.01) 및 콜레스테롤치 (p<0.05)의 r마소, 대동맥 중성지방 (p<0.01) 및 콜레스테롤치 (p<0.05) 의 감소를 보였다. 또한 옥수수유 식이군에 비하여 혈청 총지질(p<0.05)의 감소, 총콜레스테롤 및 HDL-cholesterol 치의 감소 (p<0.01), 심장중성지방치의 감소 , 대동맥 중성지방치의 감소 (p<0.01)를 보였다. 한편 대동맥은 동맥경화증 대조군에 비하여 미약한 석회화와 괴사된 thru을 보였으나 칠성장어유 식이군에서와 같이 지방침착은 관찰되지 않았고 관상동맥에서도 동맥경화증 대조군에 비해 미약한 석회화와 괴사된 소견을 보였다. 이상의 결과에서 불포화지방산을 다량으로 함유한 칠성장어유 및 옥수수유는 동맥경화증 랫트에 있어 생체내 지질대사에 영향을 미침으로써 혈청지질치를 저하시키고 동맥벽내에 지방침착을 억제시켰으며, 이러한 효과는 n-6계 다불포화지방산을 많이 함유하고 있는 옥수수유보다 n-3rP 다불포화지방산을 다량으로 함유한 칠성장어유에 더욱 크게 나타났다

키토산의 효소분해물질이 흰쥐의 당 및 지방대사에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Chitosan Treated with Enzymatic Methods on Glucose and Lipid Metabolism in Rats)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effets of chitosan and beef tallow at different level on glucose and lipid metabolism in rats. Dietary fot level was 20% and 40%, and chitosan was given at levels of 0%, 3%, and 5%(wt/wt) of diet. Chitosan supplement tended to decrease the serum total lipids, total cholesterol, and triglycerides. HDL cholesterol and HDL cholesterol : total cholesterol ratio tended to increase with 5% chitosan supplementation. LDL cholesterol and VLDL triglyceride tended to decrease with chitosan supplementation. Lipid concentration of liver and epididymal fat pad(EEP) tended to decrease with medium dietary fat and chitosan treatment. fecal excretion of total lipid and triglyceride exhibited a tendency to increase with high fat levels and chitosan. Length of small intestine and gastrointestinal transit time were not affected by dietary fit levels or chitosan supplements. Therefore, it could be suggested that chitosan supplement had beneficial effects on lipid metabolism. (Korean J Nutrition 31(7) : 1112-1120, 1998)

T-2 toxin이 흰쥐 혈철 중 지질농도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of T-2 Toxin on Lipid Concentration in Rat Serum)

  • This study was designed to observe the effects of T-2 toxin on total cholesterol and lipid concentration in rat serum. T-2 toxin is a secondary metabolite produced by Fusarium sp. which is often found on agricultural products including cereals, and it is a causal material of liver injuries in cattle and humans. When we fed rats with standard diet treated with T-2 toxin, the body weight and feed consumption of rats treated T-2 toxin were decreased. As the results of lipid analysis, the concentrations of total cholesterol and free cholesterol in serum of treated rats were increased compared to non-fed control group, On the other hand, the levels of triglyceride and phospholipid in the serum of T-2 toxin treated experimental groups were declined. In conclusion, T-2 toxin largely influenced on the total cholesterol and lipid levels in rat serum.

쑥 및 엉겅퀴가 식이성 고지혈증 흰쥐의 간기능, 체지질 및 담즙산 농도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Artemisia Princeps var Orientalis and Circium Japonicum var Ussuriense on Liver Function, Body Lipid , and Bile Acid of Hyperlipidemic Rat)

  • The effect of Artemisia princeps var orientalis(mugwort) and Circium japonicum var ussuriense (Unggungqui) on lipid metabolism was examined . Thirty rats of 5 experimental groups were fed with a diet containing 1% cholesterol and 0.25% sodium cholate(control diet) and 5% plant powder or its water soluble extract(experimental diet) for 4 weeks. The activity of enzymes related to liver function, lipid components of liver and principle organs, and fecal steroids were assayed. The activity of enzymes was significantly lower in the unggungqui and mugwort powder diet group than in control. Liver total cholesterol , free cholesterol, and triglyceride levels were significantly lower in Unggungqui powder diet groups that in the control. The concentrations of total cholesterol , triglyceride and phospholipid in heart and kidney were comparatively low in the Unggungqui powder diet groups. In each plant powder diet group, the values of serum bile acid were significantly lowe ran the fecal steroid excretion was higher than in the control and the extract diet groups.
