창의성의 영역 한정성과 영역 보편성에 관한 분석과 탐구 (Investigation of Domain-specificity and Domain-generality of Creativity in Young Children)

  • 개인의 창의력이 특정 영역에만 한정되는가 아니면 여러 영역에 걸쳐 두루 나타나는가 하는 문제는 최근 창의력 연구에 있어 가장 쟁점이 되는 부분이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 창의성의 영역 한정성과 영역 보편성의 문제가 109명의 초등학교 2학년 생들을 대상으로 연구되었다. 창의성의 영역 한정성과 영역 보편성의 문제는 창의적 아동의 올바른 판별 및 교육과 직결되는 매우 중요한 문제임에도 불구하고 아동을 대상으로 한 이 문제의 연구가 거의 전무한 것이 현실이다. 따라서 본 연구의 주목적은 첫째, 세 가지 다른 영역간의 아동들의 창의성의 상관관계를 검토하고, 둘째, 아동들의 일반적인 창의적 사고능력과 세 영역에서의 창의성의 관계를 조사하고자 하는 것이다. 세 가지 영역(언어, 미술, 산수)에서의 아동의 창의성은 이야기 만들기, 콜라주 만들기, 창의적 산수 문제 만들기 등으로 측정되었고, 9명의 각 영역 전문가들에 의해 평가되었다. 일반적인 창의적 사고능력은 Wallach-Kogan Creativity Test와 Real-World Divergent Thinking Test 등 두 가지 창의성 검사에 의해 측정되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 아동들의 창의력이 영역 보편적이기보다는 다소 영역 한정적이라는 입장을 지지하고 있다. 본 연구에서 아동들은 세 가지 다른 영역에서 일관성 있는 창의적 능력을 보이기보다는 각 영역 간 폭 넓은 창의력의 차이를 보이므로 창의력이 상당히 영역 한정적임을 제시했다. 또한 아동들의 일반적인 창의적 사고 능력을 측정하기 위해 사용된 창의성 검사들은 세가지 영역에서 드러난 아동들의 창의성과 매우 낮거나 무의미한 상관관계를 보였다. 이와 같은 결과들로 미루어 볼 때 아동의 한 영역에서의 창의성은 그 아동의 다른 영역에서의 창의성이나 일반적으로 유용 되고 있는 창의성 검사 등을 통해서 신뢰성 있게 예측되거나 판별되기가 어려움을 지적하고 있다. 창의적인 아동을 판별하기 위해 창의성 검사들이 무분별하게 사용되어 지고 있는 현실을 고려할 때 본 연구의 결과는 그 의미가 상당히 크다 할 수 있다. 끝으로 필자는 창의성을 영역 한정적으로 보는 견해가 아동의 창의적 특성에 관한 보다 유용하고 건설적인 정보를 제시하기 때문에 일반적으로 창의성 검사에 의존하는 영역 보편적 견해보다 더욱 효과적이라고 주장한다. 본 연구는 또한 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 영재 판별과 영재 교육과정에 관한 시사점을 제시한다.

자연재해 안전교육이 유아의 안전문제해결사고 및 환경 친화적 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Natural Disaster Safety Education on Young Children's Safety Problem-solving Abilities and Eco-friendly Attitudes)

  • 본 연구는 자연재해의 발생이 급증하는 현상을 반영하여 자연재해 안전교육의 중요성을 강조하고자 교육 활동을 구성하였으며, 유아의 안전문제해결사고와 환경 친화적 태도를 향상 시키는데 목적이 있다. 행정안전부와 충청북도 교육청에서 다루고 있는 자연재해 종류를 참고하여 지진, 황사, 폭염, 홍수, 태풍, 낙뢰, 화재, 폭설, 지구온난화를 교육내용으로 포함시켜 자연재해 안전교육 활동을 20회기로 계획하였다. 연구대상은 충청북도 C시에 위치한 K병설 유치원 만 4세 유아 20명을 실험집단으로, N병설 유치원 만 4세 유아 20명을 통제집단으로 선정하였다. 실험집단의 경우 본 연구 활동을 진행하였고 통제집단의 경우 누리과정 생활주제에 기초한 일상적인 활동을 실시하였다. 연구결과 자연재해 안전교육을 실시한 실험집단 유아들이 통제집단 유아들보다 안전문제해결사고와 환경 친화적 태도가 향상되었다. 이를 통해 본 연구에서 이루어진 자연재해 안전교육이 유아의 안전문제해결사고와 환경 친화적 태도 향상에 효과를 줄 수 있는 교육활동으로 밝혀졌다. 따라서 본 연구는 실제로 유아교육현장에서 자연재해 안전교육을 실시하고자 하는 현장 교사들에게 구체적인 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

어린이 놀이학습공간 실내디자인의 감성적 특성 (Emotional Characteristics of Interior Design for Children's Rec-Education Space)

  • This study is to analyze and determine the emotional design on domestic rec-education space, in order to propose a way to design children rec-education space. A study is on reviewing needs and verify categories of emotional design through interior design of rec-education space, A study procedure will begin with theoretical proofing of children rec-education and move on to needs of emotional design in interior design and types of analysis for it. With this procedure, we will project adequate way for emotional characteristics in rec-education space and will analyze types of it from interior design of rec-education space in nine different domestic brands. With this background, we like to present methods and reveal characteristics of it. The conclusion on this study is described as followed. First, children rec-education space has positively carried types of emotional characteristics: experimental, continuity, and symbolism. Second, Some precondition; application through types of pattern, experimentation on light in space, continuity on linear interior space composition, symbolism in abstract implementation, and physical control over designed subject, has low effectiveness on creating emotional space by applying such scale matters. Third, the actual interior design subject matters and supporting facilities' textural accommodation is inadequately built for their majority, children, whether it is direct or indirect for contact. Forth, Even though to carry emotional space needs some kinds of story telling and prerequisite sequential space composition, there are lack of applicable space compositions. For this reason, it needs on going study in emotional space for children rec-education space. Last, there are needs for researching a depth understanding and presenting different characteristics of emotional interior design by brands.

동작인식 시스템을 이용한 유아 대상의 체감형 구연동화 (An interactive story book for children using gesture recognition)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 플래시 구연동화에서 더 나아가 동작 인식 시스템을 이용한 유아 대상의 체감형 구연동화 콘텐츠를 개발하였다. Kinect 카메라를 이용하여 유아 자신이 직접 컨트롤러가 되어 콘텐츠를 자유롭게 즐길 수 있기 때문에 Wii처럼 컨트롤러를 사용하는 콘텐츠보다 부상의 위험도 줄일 수 있다. 또한, 수동적으로 구연동화를 듣는 대신에 유아가 직접 참여하게 됨으로써 즐거움뿐만 아니라 다양한 동작을 통하여 운동효과도 얻을 수 있다.

History, Trauma, and Motherhood in a Korean Adoptee Narrative: Marie Myung-Ok Lee's Somebody's Daughter

  • Korean adoptee narratives have proliferated over the last ten years as adopted Koreans have begun to represent their own experiences of violent dislocation, displacement and loss in various forms of literary and artistic works, including poems, autobiographical works, novels, documentaries and films. These narratives by Korean adoptees have intervened in the current diaspora discourse to question further the traditional categories of race, ethnicity, culture and nation by representing the unique experiences of the forced and involuntary migration of adopted Koreans. For a long time, the adoption discourse has been mostly constructed from the perspectives of adoptive parents. Therefore the voice of adoptees as well as that of the birth mothers have not been properly heard or represented in adoption discourse. According to Hosu Kim, the U. S. adoption discourse, feeling pressured to deal with the stigma of the commodification of children, changed from viewing the adoptees as children who had been rescued from poverty and abandonment to considering them as a gift from the birth mothers. With the emergence of the gift rhetoric in transnational adoption, the birth mothers erased from adoption discourse have begun to be acknowledged as one of the central characters in the adoption triad. If Korean adoptees are the "the ghostly children of Korean history," the birth mothers are their "ghostly doubles" who "bear the mark of a repressed national trauma." Somebody's Daughter represents the female experiences of becoming an adopted child and of being a birth mother. In particular, the novel makes a birth mother, the forgotten presence in adoptee narratives, into a central figure in the triangular relationship created by international adoption. The novel historicizes the experiences of a Korean adoptee growing up in America as well as those of a mother who had suffered silently from feelings of unbearable loss, guilt, grief and from unforgettable memories. In addition, narrating the birth mother's story is a way to give humanity back to these forgotten women in Korean adoption history. Revisiting the site of loss both for a mother and a daughter through the novel is an act of collective mourning. The narratives about and by Korean adoptees force Korean intellectuals to reflect seriously upon Korean society and its underlying ideology which prevents a woman from mothering her own baby, and to take an ethical and political stand on this current social and political issue.

Types and Characteristics of South Korean Crossover Picturebooks

  • This study explored types and characteristics of South Korean crossover picturebooks that are enjoyed across generations. Participants included three publishers, six critics, six illustrators and three picturebook researchers, and focused on 92 South Korean recommended picturebooks published from 1995 to 2014 as the research material for this study. The majority of Korean crossover picturebook type was story, followed by information and art. There were few wordless books. Common themes of the story picturebooks were contemplation, traditional culture, social changes (such as immigration and redevelopment), reminiscence, social relations, loss and death, family problems, and social incidents. Classic essays and novels were revised for picturebooks as were famous poems originally written for grown-ups. Informational books were about traditions in music, architecture, furniture and special occasions like wedding and ceremonies. The style of the drawings were precise and realistic. Some drawings were done by brush and Chinese ink on hanji (traditional Korean paper) or silk. Some books featured Korean calligraphy as well, enabling adult readers to also appreciate the beauty and delicacy of the books. Art books and wordless books were quite rare and exhibited a playful tone. Adults alone were not presumed to be the primary reading audience of the picture books. Implications were made for picturebook marketing in a society such as South Korea, where the elderly population is rapidly increasing. Various forms of art books and parodies were also welcome. One conclusion of the study was that more experimental and innovative works would be encouraging for the development of South Korean crossover picturebooks.

환경교육에서의 Hungerford적 '책임있는 환경행동'에 관한 논의 (A Critique of the Critiques of Hungerford's 'Responsible Environmental Behavior' in Environmental Education)

  • There are some critiques of Hungerford's "responsible environmental behavior" for misinterpreting or misunderstanding the term of "behavior". Most critics such as Wals and van der Leij, Jae-Young Lee misunderstood that Hungeford and his colleagues' approach to environmental education is a sort of behaviorism which is not correct. The writer corrected them by showing the successful story of the IEEIA program from the teachers, the children, and the community members digging by the foot. The IEEIA program represents his philosophy of education which can be characterized a non-behaviorist by Wals and van der Leij, if we attempt to classify all educators as behaviorist and non-behaviorist. And the writer also criticized the critiques with the well known "professional environmental educators" in the North America who have known Hungerford's ideas in environmental education well such as Roth, McClaren, Ramsey and Hungeford himself. 주상복합아파트 거주자의 질병자료 내용 분석 (Contents Analysis on Medical Reports of High-Rise Condominium Residents)

  • The purpose of this study is to figure out the relationship between the residence stories in high-rise condominium and residents' disease patterns throughout the dweller's medical reports. Research basic data are obtained from medical fee request of National Health Insurance Corporation. Data are limited to 'A' high-rise condominium and a medical treatment time to 3 years (2004. 1-2006, 12). Data for analysis are composed of total 346,286 medical records, 43,159 disease records, and 8,999 personal records. Data are stored by sex, age, building story, residence story, visiting year and month, treatment days, main disease type (KCD-4). Treatment number, disease type and asthma in disease records and personal records are statistically analyzed by residence story considering age. Findings are as follows: 1) Women have more medical treatments than men, 40-50 age group is more treated, and the residents of 6-25 stories are more received medical treatments. According to KCD-4, diseases of the respiratory system and diseases of the eye and adnexa are relatively treated higher than other diseases. 2) The diseases of he respiratory system, the eye and adnexa, the skin and subcutaneous issue, the ear and mastoid process, and the asthma have not relation to the high-storied residence through the data of disease records and personal records. But the analysis on the data of children, age 7 and less, showed a significant relation. to conclude, there is no relationship between the residence of high-stories in the condominium and residents' disease patterns, but there is a little probable to the relationship in the pre-school child.

경기도의 옥상녹화 가용면적 추정과 이의 정책적 함의 (Estimation of the Potential Area for Roof Greening in Gyeonggi-do and Its Implications)

  • We estimated the potential area roof greening in Gyeonggi-do that will mitigate the heat island effect. The estimation was based on building age, roof shape, and building use which were recorded in the building register from "Sewoomteo, the Building Administration System in the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. The estimated potential roof greening area in Gyeonggi-do was approximately $102.5km^2$ assuming that the buildings for residence, public, education(school), office, shopping mall are appropriate for roof greening. The area occupied by apartment buildings over six-story was 76.3% of the potential roof greening area 10.2% for individual houses, 5.9% for under five-story apartment buildings, and 3.7% for school buildings. The result indicated that it is residential buildings that we need to pay attention for roof greening, especially high-rise buildings over six-story. Greening of the whole estimated area, $102.5km^2$, in Gyeonggi-do will result in the increase of green space per capita by $8.74m^2$. This is 1.65 times greater than the area of current urban parks, and 1.97 times greater than the total area of neighborhood parks, children's parks, and pocket parks. Greening of the estimated roof area will increase green coverage of urban area by twice, adding to current green coverage of the urban areas, 11.3%, in 10 major cities. In particular, the effect of roof greening would be remarkable in inceasing the green space of Anyang City, Gwangmyeong City, and Guri City where neighborhood park area falls short.

어린이 글 읽기에서 나타나는 안구 운동의 특징 (The characteristics of eye-movement during children read Korean texts)

  • 이 연구는 초등학교 3학년 아동들이 나이에 알맞은 동화와 설명글을 읽을 때 보이는 안구 운동의 전반 특징과 낱말/어절 수준에 따른 특징을 우리글에서 처음으로 알아보았다. 아동들은 동화를 읽을 때 어절을 대략 213ms 동안 보다가 글 방향으로 3.6자 눈을 움직였고, 설명문을 읽을 때는 214ms 동안 보다가 글 방향으로 3.3자 정도 눈을 움직였다. 동화와 설명글 모두에서 앞으로 가서 다시 읽는 눈 움직임은 전체의 약 31%정도를 차지했다. 이런 전반 양상과 더불어, 어절 수준에서 어절 길이, 낱말빈도, 착지점 효과를 살펴보았는데, 아이들은 동화와 설명 글 모두에서 긴 어절을 짧은 어절보다 오래 주시하였고, 성인 독자와 마찬가지로 눈을 어절 가운데 근처에 착지하려는 경향성을 보였다. 또한 반복되지 않은 어절들을 분석했을 때 설명글에서 빈도가 낮은 어절들은 길이에 따른 주시시간이 차이를 크게 보였고 빈도가 높은 어절들은 길이에 따른 차이를 거의 보이지 않았다.
