타인의 단어와 행동 목표의 관계성에 대한 10개월 영아의 이해에 있어서 사회정서 단서의 영향 (Socio-Emotional Cues Can Help 10-Month-Olds Understand the Relationship Between Others' Words and Goals)

  • Objective: The current study examined whether providing both an actor's eye gaze and emotional expressions can help 10-month-olds interpret a change in the actor's words as a signal to a change in the actor's goal object. Methods: Sixteen 10-month-olds participated in an experiment using the violation-of-expectation paradigm and were compared to 16 10-month-olds in a control condition. The infants in the experimental condition were familiarized to an event in which an actor looks at one of two novel objects, excitingly utters a sentence, "Wow, here's a modi!", and grasps the object. The procedure in the control condition was identical to that of the experimental condition except that the infants heard the sentence without any emotional excitement and the eye gaze of the agent was hidden by a visor. In the following test trial, the infants in both conditions heard the agent changing her word (from modi to papu) and watched her grasping either the same object as before (old-goal event) or the new object (new-goal event). Results: The infants in the experimental condition looked at the old-goal event longer than at the new-goal event, suggesting that they expected the agent to change her goal object when the actor changed her word. However, the infants in the control condition looked at the two events about equally. Conclusion: When both eye gaze and emotional cues were provided, 10-month-olds were able to exploit the agent's verbal information when reasoning about whether the agent would pursue the same goal object as before.

이중계층구조 파티클 샘플링을 사용한 다중객체 검출 및 추적 (Multi-Object Detection and Tracking Using Dual-Layer Particle Sampling)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중객체 검출과 동시에 추적을 수행하는 이중계층구조의 파티클 샘플링을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 다중 객체 검출을 위한 상위 계층 파티클 샘플링과 검출된 객체의 추적을 위한 하위 계층 파티클 샘플링으로 구성된다. 상위 계층에서는 빠른 객체 검출을 위해 슬라이딩 윈도우 대신 움직임 추정 기반의 부모 파티클 (parent particles; PP) 윈도우를 사용하여, 이동 객체 주위로 리샘플링된 파티클을 통해 객체를 검출한다. 하위 계층에서는 상위 계층에서 검출한 객체의 객체영역에 자식 파티클 (child particles; CP)을 생성하여 해당 객체를 추적한다. 실험결과를 통해 비디오 시스템에서 기존 객체 검출 방법보다 빠른 검출이 가능하고, 다중 객체를 효과적으로 추적할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

감각통합치료와 가정프로그램 중재병행이 다운증후군 아동의 시각적 주의력에 미치는 효과: 단일사례연구 (Effects of Sensory Integration Therapy and Home-Based Sensory Integration on Visual Attention in Children with Down Syndrome)

  • 목적 : 감각통합치료와 가정프로그램의 중재병행이 다운증후군 아동의 시각적 주의력에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 다운증후군 아동 1명의 대상으로 개별실험연구를 진행하였으며, 감각통합치료 중재는 주 1회씩 16주간, 가정프로그램은 주 4회씩 16주간 시행하였다. 대상 아동에게 중재 후 시각적 주의력의 변화를 측정하였다. 결과 : 중재 후 물체 주시, 물체 수평적 추시, 물체 수직적 추시 시간은 기초선 기간에 비해 평균값이 상승하였다. 중재 기간에 관찰된 물체 주시, 물체 수평적 추시, 물체 수직적 추시가 기초선 기간의 ±2 표준편차보다 높게 나타났다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통해 감각통합치료와 가정프로그램의 중재병행이 다운증후군 아동에게 시각적 주의력과 시지각 향상된 것을 확인하였으며, 효과적인 중재 방법을 제시하였다는 점에 의의가 있다.

만 3.4.5세 유아의 존댓말 습득에 관한 연구 (A Study to the Acquisition of Honorific Markers by Three-, Four-, and Five-year-old Young Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine Korean young children's acquisition of honorific expressions. The participants of the present study were 297 young children (ages 3-5 years) from Kyunggi province. The results of the study showed that young children acquire honorific markers in the order of hearer-honorific expressions, subject-honorific expressions, and then object-honorific expressions. Five-year old children acquired at least 75% of the hearer-honorific expressions. The result can be explained by the fact that most of them were used in greetings. Even though more than 90% of five-year old children acquired the subject-honorific marker si, the acquisition rates of subjecthonorific nouns and subject-honorific verbs were less than 10%. Finally, the acquisition rates of objecthonorific expressions were less than 20%, with the exception of the object-honorific noun ce. The results of the study suggest that educational programs should be developed in order to facilitate the acquisition of honorific markers in young children.

Do Simple Objects Facilitate Infants' Formation of a Spatial Category?

  • The present study investigated infants' ability to form a category of a support relation (i.e., "on") when the objects depicting the relation were perceptually simple versus more complex. Twenty Korean infants of 14 months were habituated to dynamic support events with objects that were either simple or more complex in appearance. They were then tested with events that differed from the habituation events in the specific objects, spatial relation, or both. Infants formed a support category whether familiarized to simple or complex objects, looking significantly longer at test events with a novel than familiar relation. The results indicate that at 14 months of age, object features do not impact infants' ability to form a categorical representation of support.

일상생활의 대화에서 나타난 아동의 물리지식 발달 (Korean Children's Physical Knowledge Development Derived from Conversation)

  • This study analyzed physical knowledge displayed in the utterances of 10 Korean children 23 - 76 months of age. Utterances were blocked into four-month time periods, except the first two months and classified into 5 categories including properties of physical objects and materials, friction, buoyancy, gravity, and the motion of physical objects. All five types of physical expressions were found in the data of the earliest period the percent age of the properties and motion was higher than the percent of friction, buoyancy, and gravity. Data suggested two transitional points of change in physical knowledge : 2-year-old's descriptions were based only on perceptually salient physical features 3- to 4-year-olds described only end-state results while children older than 4 included systematic causality.

한국 웩슬러 유아지능검사의 간편형개발 (Development of a Short Form of the Korean Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence)

  • For the development of a short form of the Korean Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (K-WPPSI), 360 preschool and primary school children were tested with 4 subtests: Object Assembly, Arithmetic, Block Design, and Comprehension. Transformed scores were derived according to K-WPPSI norms. Interscorer reliability coefficients measured by two independent scorers with the data of 16 children were satisfactory: Comprehension, .92; Arithmetic, .94; Block Design, .97; Object Assembly, .97 Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient for the 4 subtests were very similar to those for the original K-WPPSI, ranging between .71 and .92. Factor analyses revealed 2 factors corresponding to Wechsler's 2 factor theory of intelligence. Discriminant validity was obtained with a Picture-Vocabulary test. Boys performed slightly better than girls on all subtests except for Comprehension. Boys significantly out-performed girls in Arithmetic.

청소년기의 경계선 인격장애 (BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISOREDER IN ADOLESCENTS)

  • 청소년기의 경계선 인격장애는 충동조절의 결여, 타인에 대한 평가절하와 자신보다는 대상에 대하여 만족감을 얻으려는 욕구, 분리 방어기제를 특징으로 하는 인격장애로서 성인의 경계선 인격장애와 비슷한 양상으로 나타난다. 청소년기의 경계선 인격장애의 주요한 증상은 우울, 불안, 정체성 위기와 이러한 정체성 위기로 인한 반사회적인 행동을 흔히 볼 수 있다. 따라서 이들 증상들과 정상 청소년들이 보일 수 있는 질풍노도의 양상과 구별이 힘든 경우가 있다. 경계선 인격장애에서는 대상관계의 불안정, 정동의 불안정, 분리 등 미숙한 방어기제로 인해서 심한 스트레스하에서 정신병적 삽화가 나타날 수 있으며, 이로인해 정신분열증, 정동장애, 분열형 인격장애, 편집형 인격장애등과 감별진단이 필요하다. 청소년기 경계선 인격장애의 원인으로는 정신역동적 요소, 유전적 요인을 포함한 생물학적 요소, 가족역동적인 요소등을 복합적으로 고려해야 한다. 치료는 개인정신치료, 그룹치료, 가족치료, 약물치료 등이 있다. 소아 청소년기 경계선 인격장애가 성인기 경계선 인격장애로 될 것인가에 대해서는 논란이 되고 있다.

다해상도 움직임 예측을 이용한 동영상 물체탐지 알고리즘 (An algorithm for Video Object Detection using Multiresolution Motion Estimation)

  • This paper proposes an object detection algorithm using the Multiresolution Motion Estimation(MRME) in wavelet d야main. A existing motion estimation method has characteristics of motion estimation but it requires having computation. Motion estimation in higher resolution used the motion vector of the lower resolution with the MRME that has parent-child relationship on wavelet coefficients. This method reduces the search area of motion estimation in higher resolution and computational complexity. The computational complexity of the proposed method is about 40% of the existing method using 3-level Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees(SPIHT) wavelet transform. The experimental results with the proposed method showed about 11% decrease of Mean Absolute Difference(MAD) and gains able to precise tracking of object.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the repercussion of mothers' quality of object relation and hope on their children's emotional and behavioral disorder level and satisfaction level on counseling. Participants were 112 children between ages of 6 and 12, and the 112 mothers of those children. Questionnaires for mothers were used to assess their object relation level, hope level, and counseling satisfaction level. Questionnaires for children were used to assess their depression and aggression level. Results were as follows: First, mothers with lower object relations had children with higher depression and aggression levels. Second, children of the mothers who scored higher object relation levels scored higher on the satisfaction level on counseling. Third, among the mother's object relation level, hope level, and counseling satisfaction level, the object relation level appeared to have the strongest repercussion on the child's emotional and behavioral problems. The results of this study can be used as a base material to improve the effect of play therapy for the children who have emotional and behavioral problems, on helping the children and their mothers to have positive object relations.
