유아용 감성교육 프로그램 개발 연구 (Development an Emotional Education Program for Young Children)

  • Children develop emotional intelligence during the early years of life, and according to experts, emotional intelligence(EI) is a more reliable predictor of academic achievement than IQ. However, nowadays children appear to be low on emotional well-being. This has potentially negative consequences, not only for academic achievement but also for personal relationships. The purpose of this study was to develop emotional education program for young children(EEPYC). In this study, EI is defined to carry out reasoning in regard to emotions and to use emotion for enhancement of thought. Designed to facilitate development of young children's EI. EEPYC is based on the four branch model, which is mental EI model and based on the guiding principle of Collaborative to Advance Social and Emotional Learning. The subgroups(curricular) that compose EEPYC are Emotional Perception, appraisal, and expression, Self-recognition program, Self-esteem program, Emotional Stress Regulation, Emotional problem solving & conflict resolution. EEPYC has the potential of fostering emotional intelligence. Moreover, EEPYC can promote a motivation, prosocial activity, and regulation of stress. This helps young children to develope cognition and emotion in harmonious fashion.

학령전개 아동의 사고실태 (A Study on Childhood Injury)

  • Injuries are important causes of death and disability. The Purpose of this study was to determine how often preschoolers have injuries and what factors affect the injury occurrences. The sample consisted of 360 Preschoolers who were registered at eight nurseries located in Sedaemoongu. Seoul. The data were analyzed using the SAS PC statistical package. The results of the study are as follows: During last 12 months 73.1% of 360 preschoolers had accidental injuries In an analysis of the location where the injury took place, showed that the most places were in the nursery(17.3%) and around home(14.4%), and the most place inside home were in the bedroom(13.9%) and living room(13.9%). There were the diverse and injurious risks inside the home as well as around home. The most frequent type of injury was abrasion(27.5%) and most children injured their legs(28.3%). They were treated most frequently at home(52.8%) and usually emergency treatment was performed by family members with disinfection being the main type of first aid To identify factors related to injury occurrence, multiple logistic regression was performed and the main factors were the age of child, active tendency, and mother's education level.

Causes of acute gastroenteritis in Korean children between 2004 and 2019

  • Since the 2000s, the major causes of acute gastroenteritis in children in Korea have been identified by classifying the pathogens into viruses, bacteria, and protozoa. For viruses, the detection rate is 20%-30%, and norovirus is being increasingly detected to account for the majority of viral gastroenteritis cases. In addition, despite the dissemination of the rotavirus vaccine, many rotavirus infections persist, and its seasonal distribution is changing. The detection rate of bacterial pathogens is 3%-20%, with Escherichia coli and Salmonella spp. infections being the most common, while the incidences of Bacillus cereus and Campylobacter spp. infections are gradually increasing. Owing to intermittent outbreaks of gastroenteritis caused by individual bacteria as well as the inflow of causative bacteria, such as E. coli, Vibrio spp., and Campylobacter spp., from overseas, continuous surveillance of and research into the characteristics and serotypes of each bacterium are needed.

아동청소년정책 전달체계의 통합방안에 대한 비판적 고찰 (A Critical Perspective on the Integration of Service Delivery Systems in Child-Youth Policy)

  • 아동정책은 주로 보건복지부에서 요보호아동을 위한 사후적인 복지제도를 중심으로 집행된 반면 청소년정책은 국가청소년위원회에서 일반청소년을 위한 육성제도를 중심으로 실시되어 왔다. 하지만 아동청소년정책의 부처별 산발적 추진으로 인해 서비스 중복 현상이 나타나고 정책의 체계적 집행이 부족하였다. 따라서 일관성 있는 아동청소년정책의 추진을 위해 이명박 정부에서는 국가청소년위원회를 보건복지가족부로 흡수하면서 아동청소년정책의 통합작업을 진행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 아동청소년정책에서 통합의 의미가 무엇인지, 이명박 정부의 전달체계 통합방안의 문제를 검토하고 이를 보완하기 위한 방안이 무엇인지를 제언하였다. 바람직한 통합정책을 추진하기 위해서는 부처통합에 따른 보건복지가족부내의 아동정책과 청소년정책의 단순 결합을 넘어서 국가 전체의 인적자원개발계획과 경제정책을 고려하여 통합적인 아동청소년정책이 수립되도록 전면적인 재설계가 필요하다. 또한 정책대상의 비효율적인 중복이 강조되기보다는 정책의 공공성과 적정예산의 확보를 위해 아동청소년정책예산의 획기적인 증가가 선결되어야 한다는 점이 강조되었다.

애착장애의 치료 (ATTACHMENT-BASED INTERVENTION)

  • 주 양육자와 어린자녀사이에 발생한 여러 애착의 문제들을 애착이론에 근거하여 치료한 네가지의 방법을 검토하였다. 첫째, 부모의 민감도를 증진시키는 방안. 둘째, 부모의 내적표상 및 작동모델(Parent's Representation과 Internal Working Model)을 변화시키는 방법. 셋째, 사회적인 지지를 증진시키는 방법. 넷째, 어머니의 정신건강과 Well-being을 도와주는 방법과 Project STEEP(Steps Toward Effective and Enjoyable Parenting)를 기술하였다. 이러한 리뷰를 통하여 주 양육자의 정서적 반응에 민감성과 반응성이 애착의 발달과 치료의 중요한 요인임을 알게 되었다. 향후 애착문제의 치료시 하기 사항을 특별히 고려하여야 할 것으로 사료된다. 첫째, 참가자의 요구를 충분히 고려할 수 있는 유연성. 둘째, 참가자 주위의 중요한 사람들을 참여 시킬 것. 셋째, 각 개인의 장점을 충분히 살릴 것. 넷째, 가능한 어렸을때 빨리 치료할 것. 다섯째, 장시간에 걸쳐 집중적으로 철저히 치료할 것.

여성의 취업여부와 사회적 역할 만족도에 따른 건강상태 (Physical Health and Depression in Women by Employment Status and Role Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to examine physical health and depression by women's employment status and role satisfaction, and to identify significant predictors for women's health status. Method: With a cross-sectional, correlational study design, a sample of study was consisted of 181 women who were employed or not employed whose child was attending an elementary school through convenience sampling. Data were collected with a structured self-administered questionnaire and analyzed by $X^2$-test, t-test, 2-way ANCOVA and hierarchical multiple regression analysis using SPSS program. Result: Employed women had poorer physical health than that of nonemployed women and women who had greater satisfaction as a parent reported better physical health and lower level of depression than who had lower satisfaction with covariates. Predictor for better physical health after controlling for covariates was being not employed, greater satisfaction with worker's role if employed, and greater satisfaction with parent's role. Women who had lower level of depression reported greater satisfaction with their social roles, but occupancy of multiple roles and role satisfaction as worker were not related to depression. Conclusion: Role quantity and role quality seem to be very important factors to maintain better physical and psychological well-being in women.

심신과학으로서의 태교 (Taekyo as Mind and Body Science)

  • This study investigates the history and principles of Korean traditional Taekyo by literary research. Taekyo is compared with prenatal care of modern western medicine, and its principles turn out to be just as scientific. Suggestions are made for a nurse to apply Taekyo principles to nursing care. Traditional Taekyo is an antenatal training which emphasizes how an expectant mother should carry herself (behavior) and a frame of mind she should have (her attitude) in order to produce a child with sound mind and body, as well as good personality. Though Taekyo has been originated in China 2,800 years ago, it has been recorded comprehensively in Korea in a series of publications such as Taekyoshingi, and Kyuhapchongseo, and passed on in a various verbal transitions like Samtaedo, Oliltaedo, etc. Taekyo principles can be explained by yin and yang theory, quantum theory, chaos theory, fetal programming, and social support theory. Some part of Taekyo shares the same scientific ground with prenatal care advocated by modern nursing care for women, where it emphasizes the role of a father, and participation of the whole family in helping an expectant mother. Applying Taekyo principles to nursing care is being done through Taekyo programs, which combine traditional Taekyo with modern prenatal care, in classes for child birth and many pregnant women participate. On the other hand, some internet Taekyo programs appear to be rather distorted and overzealous. A nurse has a responsibility to present a guideline and to monitor internet sites, so that pregnant women can understand the correct concept of traditional Taekyo before they practice it.

자녀가 경험한 부모 이혼과 부자가족으로의 적응에 대한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on Children's Experiences of Parental Divorce and Adaptation to Single-Father Families)

  • This study explored the processes of parental divorce and adaptation in single-parent families as well as examined how the experience of living in family welfare facilities influences the adaptation process of such families. The research question to achieve the study objective was, "What is the adaption process for a singlefather family, and what influence does living in a single-father family welfare facility have on that process?" Data collection was conducted between June 2013 and April 2014 that included an in-depth interview process and continuous participatory observations on 14 children residing in the facility. The study results were as follows. The theme in a two-parent family period was 'changes in reduction of family: serious conflicts between parents.' Children directly witnessed intense conflicts between parents and experienced anxiety from situations that involved verbal and physical violence during the two-parent family period. The experience of children prior to entering the facility was represented by "loss and confusion experienced." The theme for children of singlefather family in entering a facility was "selecting a realistic alternative." Children's daily activities consisted of being with friends of a similar age, which allowed them to play and support each other in building social skills. The facility departure theme for the children was "hope for a new life."

영유아교사의 친밀관계경험이 우울에 미치는 영향에서 자기자비의 매개효과 (The Influence of Experiences in Close Relationships with Teachers for Young Children on Their Depression: Examining the Mediating Effect of Their Self-compassion)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of experiences in close relationships with teachers for young children on their depression and to see whether there would be a mediating effect of their self-compassion. Methods: The subjects were 206 teachers recruited from Seoul and five different provinces who currently worked at the kindergarten and child care centers and agreed to participate in the survey. The data were analyzed by means of frequency, percentages, Cronbach's reliability coefficient and Pearson's correlation using SPSS 25.0 and model 4 provided in The PROCESS macro for SPSS 3.4 version. Results: The findings were as followed. First, the teachers' degrees of anxiety and avoidance for their close relationships were below the median scores. In contrast their degree of self-compassion was above the median score. In addition, their level of depression was relatively low. Second, both of the teachers' anxiety and avoidance for their close relationships had a positive impact on their depression and their self-compassion, and there were the partial mediating effect in both cases. Conclusion/Implications: These results imply that the early attachment experience connecting the experience in close relationships in the adulthood is important and that it is necessary to develop a program to enhance teachers' self-compassion to protect their psychological well-being.

숲 체험 활동이 소외계층 아동의 정서, 생활만족 및 자아탄력성에 미치는 긍정적 효과 연구 (A Study on the Positive Effects of Forest Activities for Children from Economically Underprivileged Households on Their Emotional State, Life Satisfaction, and Ego-resilience)

  • This study aimed to verify the positive effects of forest activities for children from economically underprivileged households in local children's centers and the effect of such activities on the protective factors of their development. One hundred and eighty five children participated in the Forest Activities Program, which conducted over a total 8 sessions. Pre-post tests of the subjective well-being scale, DAS, multiple life satisfaction scale, ego-resilience scale were conducted and the children then made picture stories during the program itself. The results of the analysis of differences between pre-post tests were as follows: first, the negative emotions of participating children decreased significantly. Second, the school-satisfaction and self-satisfaction levels of the participating children increased. Third the participating children's positive perceptions of self and interpersonal relationships also increased through the forest activities. Finally, there were differences of the change types of picture stories that children created while they were participating in the program; and these divergences were related to the effectiveness of the program. These forest activities had positive effects upon the economically disadvantaged children who participated in this study. However, in order to increase the effects of such forest activities qualitatively, greater support for the active involvement of children is required.
