The Impact of Credit and Stock Market Development on Economic Growth in Asian Countries

  • The paper has used the Solow-Swan growth model to analyze the long-term impact of credit market development and stock market development on economic growth in Asia from 2000 to 2019. The empirical model is performed with panel cointegration analysis by Common Correlated Effects (CCE) method with cross-sectional dependencies. The results find that there exists a cointegration relationship among stock market, credit market development, and economic growth. These results also show that financial structure improves the exact impact of financial development on economic growth, namely the opposite effect of stock market development and credit market development. Moreover, the Granger causality test reveals a bi-directional relationship between credit market development and economic growth, while only unidirectional causality from stock market development to economic growth for the whole group panel. And it is different for a specific country, according to Kónya's test. The view of the new structuralism does not apply in the Asian financial system when we estimate the Nonlinear Autoregressive Distributed Lag model (NARDL) to analyze the asymmetric relationship between financial structure and economic growth. On the whole, policymakers can draw on the findings to provide policy implications to improve their country's financial system as well as pursue the goal of sustainable economic growth.

  • This paper presents a mathematical model of the output of Rake receiver of W-CDMA signals for various outdoor channel environment and different bandwidths. This mathematical model is represented as Rayleigh and noncentral chi distribution with 3 degrees of freedom. Those are obtained from the statistics of numerically generated signals. We employ Chi-square test to show how the mathematical model fits signal statistics, and confirmed that this model is appropriate for representing W-CDMA signals.

Comparison of Parameter Estimation Methods in the Analysis of Multivariate Categorical Data with Logit Models

  • In fitting models to data, selection of the most desirable estimation method and determination of the adequacy of fitted model are the central issues. This paper compares the maximum likelihood estimators and the minimum logit chi-square estimators, both being best asymptotically normal, when logit models are fitted to infant mortality data. Chi-square goodness-of-fit test and likelihood ratio one are also compared. The analysis infant mortality data shows that the outlying observations do not necessarily result in the same impact on goodness-of-fit measures.

낙동정맥의서식지유형별조류군집분석 (Analysis of Bird Community by Habitat Type in Nak-dong Jeongmaek)

  • 본 연구는 낙동정맥의 구간 중 다양한 지형을 볼 수 있고, 자연환경이 잘 보존되어 낙동정맥의 대표성을 가질 수 있다고 판단되는 5개의 산(백병산, 칠보산, 백암산, 운주산, 고헌산)을 중점조사지역으로 선정하였고, 각 산별로 조류 서식지 유형별 2개씩의 고정조사구를 설정하여 2015년 5월부터 10월 사이의 기간 동안 수행되었다. 낙동정맥의 5개의 산을 조사한 결과 총 47종 1,163개체의 조류가 확인되었다. 서식지 유형별 출현종은 임도 및 능선에서 31종으로 가장 많았고, 개체수는 계곡부에서 471개체로 가장 많았다. 낙동정맥의 서식지 유형별 영소길드 분석(Pearson Chi-Square test, ${\chi}^2=13.377$, p=0.037)결과 개발지, 계곡부에서 수관층 영소길드(Canopy nesting guild)에 속한 군집의 빈도가 높았고, 임도 및 능선에서는 수동 영소길드(Hole nesting guild)에 속한 군집의 빈도가 높았다. 채이길드 분석(Pearson Chi-Square test, ${\chi}^2=15.555$, p=0.004)결과 개발지에서 관목층 채이길드(Bush foraging guild)에 속한 군집의 빈도가 높았고, 계곡부, 임도 및 능선에서는 수관층 채이길드(Canopy foraging guild)에 속한 군집의 빈도가 높았다. 길드 분석 결과 서식지 유형별 유의한 차이가 있는 것은 임도의 개설 과정에서 천이된 초본류로 인한 붉은머리오목눈이, 노랑턱멧새 등의 유입과 같은 조류 서식지의 환경적 변화가 낙동정맥에 서식하는 조류에 영향을 주고 있었으며, 이러한 연구결과는 낙동정맥의 다양한 서식지 유형이 조류 서식에 다양하고 우수한 자원을 제공하고 있다는 것으로 판단된다.

노인의 알코올 사용장애에 따른 우울, 삶의 질과의 관계 (The Relationship of Alcohol Use Disorders and Depression, Qualty of Life in the Eldery)

  • 본 연구는 농촌지역 제가노인의 알코올 사용장애 정도와 관련 요인을 파악하여 제가노인의 알코올 사용장애 개선프로그램 개발에 기초 자료를 제공하기 위함이다. 자료는 SPSS 19.0 Version으로 기술적 통계, chi-square test. t-test를 이용하여 분석하였다. 농촌지역 제가노인의 사용장애는 성별, 연령, 동거인 존재여부, 학력, 종교, 직업, 흡연 여부에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 제가노인의 알코올 사용장애는 우울정도와 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 제가노인의 알코올 사용장애를 보건사회문제로 인식하고, 이를 예방할 수 있는 프로그램 개발과 노인들의 참여에 지역사회와 정부가 노력해야 할 것이며, 이는 고령화사회를 맞이하는 기초작업이 될 것이다.

캐릭터를 의류상품에 응용하기 위한 신세대 소비자 정보 분석 (Analysis of Young Adult Information Concentrating on the Significance of Application of Cartoon Characters on Garments)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a large representative data base for character goods marketing strategy. The study was to determine character name awareness in relation to segmented distribution regions and such demographic variables as sex and age. The author also analyzed preferred design. A total of 360 questionnaires were distributed and 359 reliable ones were used for statistical analysis. A SAS statistical package including frequency tables and Chi square test and factor analysis and Kendall′s relation analyses was used. The results are as follow : character name awareness involves "character name decognition" based on asking subjects to identify character names from 50 given names. "Tele-tubbies" was found to be a dominant commercial character name as a result of the recognition test, and "Sailer-moon" was found to be a dominant animation character goods as a result of the recognition test. Character recognition was significantly different in the segmented distribution legions, three age groups and different sex groups. People considered design first in purchasing any character goods, and they considered color second in purchasing them. The most favored part of garment far character to be stitch to was the center front in the T-shirt/dress shirt, the center back in the Jumper/jacket, back pocket in the trousers/skirt. The results of a Chi-square test showed that preferred part in the trousers/skirt of character was related with age variables.

사상체질별 7대 건강행위와 주관적 건강상태의 연관성 (The Association between Seven Health Practices and Self Rated Health by Sasang Constitution)

  • The purpose of this study aimed to know the association between seven health practices and self rated health by Sasang constitution. We recruited 367 subjects aged from 30 to 59. KS 15 questionnaire was used to classify Sasang constitution and visual analogue scale was used to estimate self rated health. Chi-square test was used to know the difference of occupation distribution by Sasang constitution. Anova test, T-test and Chi-square test also used to analyze the difference of self rated health between the health practice group and non-health group in individual Sasang constitution. SPSS 21.0K was used and significant p was <.05. Regular morning meal, non-snaking, good sleeping and sufficient exercise had higher self rated health score (p<.05). Regular morning meal, good sleeping and sufficient exercise had higher score in Tae-eumin (p<.05). Good sleeping had higher self rated health score in Soeumin and Soyangin (p<.05). These results suggest there is possibility that health practices for health promotion could be different according to Sasang constitution.

국내 양말 소비자의 브랜드 인지도 및 디자인 선호도 분석 (Analysis of Korean Consumer Brand Awareness and Preferred Types of Sock Design)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a large representative data base for socks marketing strategy. The study was to determine socks brand awareness in ralation to segmented distribution regions and such demographic variables as sex and age. The authors also analyzed preferred design. A total of 650 questionnaires were distributed and 611 reliable ones were used for statistical analysis. A SAS statistical package including frequency tables and chi square test was used. The results are as follows: Brand awareness involves "brand recall" based on asking a person to name the brand he or she recalls first, and also "brand recognition" based on asking subjects to identify brand names from 30 given brands. 'SOCKSTOP' was found to be a dominant brand as a result of the brand recall test, and 'BYC' was found to be a dominant brand as a result of the brand recognition test. Brand recognition was significantly different in the segmented distribution regions, three age groups and different sex groups. People considered design first in purchasing sports/casual socks, while they considered color first in purchasing dress socks. The most favored type of sock style was the common crew sock type. The results of a chi square test showed that preferred type of sock design was related with the sex and age variables.
