Polymer-fullerene based bulk heterojunction (BHJ) solar cells can be fabricated in large area using low-cost roll-to-roll manufacturing methods. However, because of the low mobility of the BHJ materials, there is competition between the sweep-out of the photogenerated carriers by the built-in potential and recombination within the thin BHJ film [12-15]. Useful film thicknesses are limited by recombination. Thus, there is a need to increase the absorption by the BHJ film without increasing film thickness. Metal nanoparticles exhibit localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPR) which couple strongly to the incident light. In addition, relatively large metallic nanoparticles can reflect and scatter the light and thereby increase the optical path length within the BHJ film. Thus, the addition of metal nanoparticles into BHJ films offers the possibility of enhanced absorption and correspondingly enhanced photo-generation of mobile carriers. In this work, we have demonstrated several positive effects of shape controlled Au and Ag nanoparticles in organic P3HT/PC70BM, PCDTBT/PC70BM, Si-PCPDTBT/PC70BM BHJ-based PV devices. The use of an optimized concentration of Au and Ag nanomaterials in the BHJ film increases Jsc, FF, and the IPCE. These improvements result from a combination of enhanced light absorption caused by the light scattering of the nanomaterials in an active layer. Some of the metals induce the plasmon light concentration at specific wavelength. Moreover, improved charge transport results in low series resistance.

KAERI has developed DUPIC nuclear fuel with the refabrication of spent PWR fuel discharged from domestic nuclear power plant by a dry process at M6 hot-cell in IMEF To verify the performance of DUPIC nuclear fuel, irradiation test at the operating conditions of commercial power plant is essential. Since the HANARO research reactor of KAERI does not have fuel test loop(FTL) for irradiating nuclear fuel under high temperature and high pressure conditions, DUPIC fuel cannot be irradiated in the FTL of HANARO. In the 13-th PRM among Korea, Canada, USA and IAEA, AECL proposed that KAERI fabricated DUPIC fuel can be irradiated in the FTL of the NRU research reactor without charge of neutrons. The transportation quantity of DUPIC fuel to Canada is 10 elements(about 6kg). This transportation package is classified as the 7-th class according to "recommendation on the transport of dangerous goods" made by the United Nations. In case of air shipment, until now, there is no proper air transportation cask for DUPIC fuel. In case of sea transportation is possible but requires very high cost.high cost.

In this paper, the channel decoder promising reliable data retrieving in noisy holographic channel has been developed for holographic WORM(write once read many) system. It covers various DSP(digital signal processing) blocks, such as align mark detector, adaptive channel equalizer, modulation decoder and ECC(error correction code) decoder. The specific schemes of DSP are designed to reduce the effect of noises in holographic WORM(H-WORM) system, particularly in prototype of DAEWOO electronics(DEPROTO). For real time data retrieving, the channel decoder is redesigned for FPGA(field programmable gate array) based hardware, where DSP blocks calculate in parallel sense with memory buffers between blocks and controllers for driving peripherals of FPGA. As an input source of the experiments, MPEG2 TS(transport stream) data was used and recorded to DEPROTO system. During retrieving, the CCD(charge coupled device), capturing device of DEPROTO, detects retrieved images and transmits signals of them to the FPGA of hardware channel decoder. Finally, the output data stream of the channel decoder was transferred to the MPEG decoding board for monitoring video signals. The experimental results showed the error corrected BER(bit error rate) of less than $10^{-9}$, from the raw BER of DEPROTO, about $10^{-3}$. With the developed hardware channel decoder, the real-time video demonstration was possible during the experiments. The operating clock of the FPGA was 60 MHz, of which speed was capable of decoding up to 120 mega channel bits per sec.

The transport phenomena of ten amino acid molecules through poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate), P(HEMA) membrane have been investigated in various range pH solutions. It is found that the permeability and diffusivity of the amino acids through membrane depended on the different shape, size and the charge of them are changed by the pH. The permeabilities and diffusivities of amino acids have the largest value in the neutral solution. In this case, they are diffused through free water in the P(HEMA) membrane and the diffusion mechanism is the pore type. The basic solution have larger value than the acidic it. Whether the diffusion mechanism of the core type or the partition type, it is depended on the effect of side chain of the amino acid in basic and acidic solution.

Recently, various type of nanomaterials such as nanorod, nanowire, nanotube and their core/shell nanostructures have attracted much attention in photocatalyst due to their unique properties. Among them, Type-II core/shell heterostructures have extensively studied because it has exhibited improved electrical and optical properties against their single-component nanostructure. Such structures are expected to offer high absorption efficiency and fast charge transport due to their stepwised energetic combination and large internal surface area. Thus, it has been considered as potential candidates for high efficient photocatalytic activity. In this work, we introduce a novel chemical conversion process to synthesize Type-II ZnO/ZnSe core/shell heterostructures. A plausible conversion mechanism to ZnO/ZnSe core/shell heterostructres was proposed based on SEM, XRD, TEM and XPS analysis. The ZnO/ZnSe heterostructures exhibited excellent photocatalytic activity toward the decomposition of RhB dye compared to the ZnO nanorod arrays due to enhanced light absorption and the type-II cascade band structure.
V-I characteristics of Fe(100)/MgO(100)/Cu-phthalocyanine (CuPc)/Co hybrid magnetic tunnel junctions were investigated at different temperatures. Fe(100) and Co ferromagnetic layers were separated by an organic-inorganic hybrid barrier consisting of different thickness of CuPc thin film grown on a 2 nm thick epitaxial MgO(100) layer. As the CuPc thickness increases from 0 to 10 nm, a bistable switching behavior due to strong charging effects was observed, while a very large magenetoresistance was shown at 77 K for the junctions without the CuPc barrier. This switching behavior decreases with the increase in temperature, and finally disappears beyond 240 K. In this work, high-potential future applications of the MgO(100)/CuPc bilayer were discussed for hybrid spintronic devices as well as polymer random access memories (PoRAMs).

In this paper, we present a design and implementation of a personalized broadcasting system using TV-Anytime metadata for providing personalized services. The TV-Anytime specifies metadata schema, metadata coding and delivery, and provides service models to provide personalized broadcasting content services at anytime when users want to consume using metadata, which includes ECG (Electronic Content Guide) and content descriptive information in a PDR (Personal Digital Recorder)-centric environment. The proposed personalized broadcasting system consists of a server that provides metadata binary-coding, encapsulation and multiplexing, and a client terminal that takes charge of de-multiplexing, metadata decoding, and metadata processing for personalized content accessing and consumption. This paper presents the details of the design of each functional module, and the evaluation results with a set of service scenarios in an end-to-end broadcasting test-bed.
We suggest a distributed communication and management methodology using PC to PC Query multicasting strategy for efficient management of medical images produced by DICOM(Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) Modalities. It is absolutely necessary to reduce strict degradation of PACS system due to large sire of medical images and their very high transport rates. DICOM PC to PC Component is composed of a Service Manager to execute requested queries, a Communication Manager to take charge of file transmission, and a DICOM Manager to manage stored data and system behavior Each Manager itself is a component to search for requested file by interaction or to transmit the file to other PCs. Distributed management and transformation of medical information based on PC to PC Query multicasting methodology will enhance performance of central server and network capacity, reducing overload on both. We organize three major components for system operation. Each component is implemented as Agent. Communication between agents uses XML encoded Agent Communication Language.
Synthesis of RGO (reduced graphene oxide)-CdS composite material was performed through CBD (chemical bath deposition) method in which graphene oxide served as the support and Cadmium Sulfate Hydrate as the starting material. Graphene-based semiconductor photocatalysts have attracted extensive attention due to their usefulness for environmental and energy applications. The band gap (2.4 eV) of CdS corresponds well with the spectrum of sunlight because the crystalline phase, size, morphology, specic surface area and defects, etc., of CdS can affect its photocatalytic activity. The specific surface structure (morphology) of the photocatalyst can be effective for the suppression of recombination between photogenerated electrons and holes. Graphene (GN) has unique properties such as a high value of Young's modulus, large theoretical specific surface area, excellent thermal conductivity, high mobility of charge carriers, and good optical transmittance. These excellent properties make GN an ideal building block in nanocomposites. It can act as an excellent electron-acceptor/transport material. Therefore, the morphology, structural characterization and crystal structure were observed using various analytical tools, such as X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and Raman spectroscopy. From this analysis, it is shown that CdS particles were well dispersed uniformly in the RGO sheet. Furthermore, the photocatalytic property of the resulting RGO-CdS composite is also discussed in relation to environmental applications such as the photocatalytic degradation of pollutants. It was found that the prepared RGO-CdS nanocomposites exhibited enhanced photocatalytic activity as compared with that of CdS nanoparticles. Therefore, better efficiency of photodegradation was found for water purification applications using RGO-CdS composite.

Recently, there has been a growing market for shared mobility businesses that share 'transport' such as cars and bikes, and many operators offer a variety of services. However, if the fare can not be charged normally because of security vulnerability, the operator can not continue the business. So there should be no security loopholes. However, there is a lack of awareness and research on shared mobility security. In this paper, we analyzed security vulnerabilities exposed in application log of shared bike service in Korea. We could easily obtain the password of the bike lock and the encryption key of the AES-128 algorithm through the log, and confirmed the data generation process for unlocking using software reverse engineering. It is shown that the service can be used without charge with a success rate of 100%. This implies that the importance of security in shared mobility business and new security measures are needed.
