The CO laser is one of powerful light source for laser magnetic resonance spectroscopy in the mid-infrared region of the spectrum because of its wideband operational characteristics. In this work, a liquid nitrogen cooled cw CO laser is developed to allow broad-band operation from 5 to 8 ${\mu}m$. The design details will be presented.

In this study, the patent trends for noise barrier and noise reducing device have been analyzed, for the development of adaptive noise barrier according to the transmission characteristics of railway noise. Using patent search engine, keyword searching for patents after 1980 in Korea was performed. The first 667 patents details were reviewed for the extraction core(ie, key) patents. From this review, finally 70 patents were built as DB. From this analysis of core patents, system requirements for development of noise reducing device were obtained.

This paper proposes a hierarchical approach to active shape model using wavelet transform. The proposed algorithm allows us to use both global shape characteristics and finer details for model deformation. The statistical properties of the wavelet transform of a deformable model are analyzed by principal component analysis and used as priors in the contour's deformation.

The subspan oscillation is the most important in bundled transmission lines, which can cause conductor damage and transmission line hardware failures. So it is necessary to analyze the subspan oscillation in details for transmission lines. This paper suggests the basic concept and theoretical analysis method of subspan oscillation for 6 bundle conductor transmission line, which considers wind speed, subspan length and conductor tension. Especially this paper uses a spacer damper model with clamp-arm flexibility and damping characteristics. Theoretical analysis results are proposed.

This study is about the expression types and characteristics of Trompe l'oeil in modern fashion. The study defines the concept of Trompe l'oeil, examines the Trompe l'oeil in the surrealist works from which the Trompe l'oeil derives from, and analyzes the works that have emerged since 2000. The study used a collection of magazines such as Vogue, Gap, Fashion News, and the Internet. According to the findings, the expression types of Trompe l'oeil in modern fashion were seen in the human body, the wearing style, the details, and accessory effects of clothes. The modern fashion design using the Trompe l'oeil based on such external expressions was characterized by the following: first, the fashion design destroyed the concept of common sense and expressed the purity of the human spirit by revealing the human body hidden in clothes from the combination of clothes and the human body with surrealism. Second, the details or accessories of clothes were printed or painted as if they existed. Pleasure was expressed by applying Trompe l'oeil to the wearing methods and forms of clothes through the optical illusion of materials or colors. Third, the effects of an optical illusion were displayed by transforming and distorting the wearing style and reversing the front, back, exterior and interior of clothes; this optical illusion characterized the deconstruction expressed through the transformation of ideas.

Surface finishing is still indispensable for most rapid prototyping (RP) processes because of the inherent stair-stepped surface and shrinkage of the parts. These problems can be minimized in the $VLM-_ST$ Process, because it uses expandable polystyrene foam sheets, each of which has a thickness of3.9 mm and a linear-interpolated side slope. The use of thick layers, however, limits the process capability of constructing fine details. This study focuses on the design of post-processing tool for fine details of $VLM-_ST$ parts and investigation of thermal characteristics during EPS foam cutting using the post-processing tool. To calculate the heat flux from the tool into the foam sheet, the tool was modeled as a heat source of radiation for finite element analysis. Results of the analysis agreed well with those of the experiment.

Generally, a box tube, which is used for an existing square CFT structure, is made by welding four plates. The manufacturing efficiency of this steel tube is poor, and it also needs special welding technology to weld its internal diaphragm and the through diaphragm. Therefore, an interior-anchor-type square steel tube was developed using the method of cold-forming thin plates to prevent welding of the stress concentration position, and to maximize the section efficiency. And, considering of the flow of beam flange load, the efficiency of erection and the weldability of the diaphragm to thin walled steel column, the external diaphragm connection was selected as the suitable type for the welded built-up square CFT column to beam connection. And, an analytical study and tests were conducted to evaluate the structural performance of the suggested connection details and to verify the suggested equations for the connection details. Through this study, the composite effect of the internal anchor to concrete, the resistance and stress distribution of the connections before and after the existing column is welded to the beam, the effective location of welding in connection were analyzed.

Environment-friendly(EF) agricultural policy developed to support high-quality farm products, such as organic farm products, doing so for the sake of strengthening the competitive power of Korean agriculture after the agreement of UR. The details of the policy are as follows : enforcing certification of organic farm products, establishing of the Law of Fostering the EF agriculture, carrying out the order of direct-payment, setting up the Five Year Plan for EF agriculture, etc. This study focuses on the background of social economy, the standpoint of EF farming in agricultural policy, and the analysis of the characteristics in EF agriculture. Three aspects in the background of the policy are as follows : the social movement, the social economy, and the social system. The standpoint and characteristics of the policy are studied by the analysis of the target and means of the policy which is based on the policy documents.

In this study, to study the aesthetic properties of the Italy fashion, the internal fashion contents are defined according to the cultural characteristics of Italy and based on the definition, the external features are investigated. The cultural characteristic was analyzed based on the reference literatures on the Italy culture. The aesthetical properties of the contemporary Italy fashion can be analyzed as follows: ${\cdot}$ Functionalism is a feature showing the Italian cultural environment where the genuine humanism is retained. It enables the practical designs by applying details and materials that wouldn't put a limit to the movement of the human body. ${\cdot}$ Naturalism focuses on the natural beauty of the human body without any artificial forms or exaggerated ornaments. Natural texture or materials are used to express the human body itself, or to emphasize the natural aesthetic effects flowing with the human body. ${\cdot}$ Localism is the expression of folk spirit affected by the natural environment. It expresses local atmosphere by unique craftsmanship in material, pattern, color and details. Based on this result, the aesthetic properties of the contemporary France fashion, examined through ${\Iceil}$A Cultural Approach to the Aesthetic Characteristic of the 20th Century French Fashion${\rfloor}$ and those of the contemporary Italy fashion are compared.
