  • In this study, the existence of chaotic characteristics in snoring signals obtained in the form of time series data was checked through quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, and a snoring signal detection system was designed applied with detection algorithms considering diverse parameters of occurring signals in order to enhance the accuracy and reliability of detections and the performance of the system was checked. The system was tested with certain snoring patients and thereby the results as follows could be obtained.

  • In this paper, a four-degree-of-freedom non-linear model is developed to study the dynamic response of vehicle that is caused by the disturbance from the road. The chaotic vibration of the model is investigated with numerical simulation. The model displays complicated dynamic responses including harmonic motions and chaos. It is found that changing of the damping coefficients of the system can eliminate the chaotic response.

  • We study the Chua oscillator circuit by considering a negative resistor as a characteristic parameter which controlled by the CdS(Cadmium Sulphide) cell. This is a new way to observe several chaotic phenomena with the same initial condition continuously. Since we can control the internal resistance of the CdS cell by an additional circuit, our autonomous chaotic oscillator circuit makes it possible to measure the voltage value continuously and automatically.

  • Generalized iterative methods for reducing noise in contaminated chaotic signals are proposed. These methods minimize a cost function composed of two parts : one containing information that represents how close enhanced signals are to the observed signal and another composed of constraints that fit the dynamics of the system. The convergence conditions and the error systems of the proposed are investigated. As one aspect of noise reduction, the suppression or cancellation of a chaotic interference signal is discussed.

  • This research provides the results of a trial to generate the chaos by using nonlinear function constructed by fuzzy inference rules. The chaos generation function or chaotic behavior can be obtained by using Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model with some constraint of the relationship of its parameters. Two examples are shown in this research. The first is simple example that construct of logistic image by fuzzy model. The second is more complicated one that provide the chaotic time series by non-linear autoregression based on fuzzy model. Simulated results are shown in these examples.

  • Chaotic states of a low-frequency modulating C.W .Co2 laser beam is observed. The output behaviors appear quasi-periodicity and chaotic states when the laser beam is modulated from 100Hz to 1000Hz by using an intracavity chopper. And the output characteristics of the laser beam show a route to chaos as increasing input power when the modulation speed is 500Hz.

  • This paper proposes a novel framework for traffic video classification based on chaotic features. First, each pixel intensity series in the video is modeled as a time series. Second, the chaos theory is employed to generate chaotic features. Each video is then represented by a feature vector matrix. Third, the mean shift clustering algorithm is used to cluster the feature vectors. Finally, the earth mover's distance (EMD) is employed to obtain a distance matrix by comparing the similarity based on the segmentation results. The distance matrix is transformed into a matching matrix, which is evaluated in the classification task. Experimental results show good traffic video classification performance, with robustness to environmental conditions, such as occlusions and variable lighting.

  • In the study, we consider chua's circuit which is a paradigmatic chaotic system belonging to Lur'e form. It is shown that the dynamic behavior of such a system can be influenced in such a way as to obtain out of chaotic behavior a desired periodic orbit corresponding to an unstable periodic trajectory which exists in the system. This kind of control can be achieved via injection of a single continuous time signal representing the output of the system associated with an unstable periodic orbit embedded in the chaotic attractor We investigate the case when this signal is sampled, i.e. we supply to the system the control signal at discrete time moments only.

  • In this paper, we propose a dynamic mathematical model of love involving various external forces, in order to analyze the chaotic phenomena in a love model based on Romeo and Juliet. In addition, we investigate the nonlinear phenomena in a love model with external forces using time series and phase portraits. In order to describe nonlinear phenomena precisely using time series and phase portraits, we vary the type of external force, using models such as a sine wave, chopping wave, and square wave. We also apply various different parameters in the Romeo and Juliet model to acquire chaotic dynamics.

  • This paper deals with the problem of the global stabilization for a class of tension leg platform (TLP) nonlinear control systems. Problem and objective: Based on the relaxed method, the chaotic system can be stabilized by regulating appropriately the parameters of dither. Scope and method: If the frequency of dither is high enough, the trajectory of the closed-loop dithered chaotic system and that of its corresponding model-the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system can be made as close as desired. Results and conclusion: The behavior of the closed-loop dithered chaotic system can be rigorously predicted by establishing that of the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system.
