  • 무심천에 대한 모니터링은 '무심천 살리기'의 일환으로 이루어진 하천종합조사사업으로써 저수량, 홍수량, 생태계 및 하천공법 등에 대한 조사 및 분석을 수행하고 있다. 모니터링은 5년간에 걸친 사업으로 2007년 5월부터 시작하여 2009년 현재 2차년도 사업을 진행중이다. 본 연구에서는 특히 무심천에 적용된 하천공법에 대한 조사 및 분석에 국한하였다. 여기서 2002년부터 자연형 하천정화사업에서 적용했던 공법과 이로 인한 수리인자의 변화를 관찰하고, 저수로 호안을 포함한 각종 하천환경 시설물의 수리적 대응도를 분석하여 개선 방안을 제시한 것이다. 무심천의 조사구간은 미호천 합류부로부터 청원군과의 경계인 지북동 경계점 까지이며, 조사 및 분석한 하천연장은 무심천 본류 12.0 km이다.

The Effects of DEM Resolution on Hydrological Simulation in BASINS-HSPF Modeling

  • In this study, the effect of DEM resolution (15m, 30m, 50m, 70m, 100m, 200m, 300m) on the hydrological simulation was examined using BASINS (Better Assessment Science Integrating point and Nonpoint Source) for Heukcheon watershed (303.3km2) data from 1998 to 1999. Generally, as the cell size of DEM increased, topographical changes were observed as the original range of elevation decreased. The processing time of watershed delineation and river network needed more time and effort on smaller cell size of DEM. The larger DEM demonstrated had some errors in the junction of river network which might effects on the simulation of water quantity and quality. The area weighted average watershed slope became lower but the length weighted average channel slope became higher as the DEM size increased. DEM resolution affected substantially on the topographical parameter but less on the hydrological simulation. Considering processing time and accuracy on hydrological simulation DEM mesh size of 100m is recommended for this watershed.

  • In these days, several bridges have been built or under construction over navigational channel in Korea. In these cases there must be careful consideration for the marine safety of vessels to be passed by below the bridge. This paper aims to analyze the factors influencing maritime traffic safety and to figure out ample width of main span of these kinds of bridges through the reference study and FMSS.

  • When we make on irrigation and drainage canals, the environment should be preferentially taken into consideration. The purpose of this study is to test Close-to-nature Consolidation Techniques in the drainage canals of Samsungri, Kanam-myun, Yeoju-gun, Kyunggi-do. The monitoring and assessment of these techniques has been conducted during two years, focuesed the drainage canals ecological habitat and landscape. As the result of this study, the embankment covered with Close-to-nature Consolidation Techniques played an important role as a habitat for aquatic animal, fish and birds as well as the groth emergement plant.

  • Using the hydraulic and numerical model of semi-enclosed bay (Chinhae Bay), the efficiencies of flow-control structures on the seawater-circulation in the inner bay were investigated. Expecially, this study was confirmed the effectiveness of the flow-control structures at the mouth and narrow channel of Chinhae Bay through the experiments. The system of flow-control structures could enhance the water exchange improvement appropriately. The results of this study can be used as the long-term and integrated environmental impact assessment model in the inner bay.

  • SU-8 can be implemented as a mask for micro Abrasive Jet Machining (micro-AJM) process [1]. In this paper, we will evaluate the quality of micro grooving result on glass substrate by micro-AJM process which using SU-8 as a mask. It was evaluated on width and edge profile of the micro grooving. The result was having distortion compare with the master film used to pattern the SU-8 mask. The value of distortion with other properties which came along with it, such as depth and surface roughness, can be optimized in order to fabricate micro-channel for micro-fluidic application.

  • 확산-유추를 기반으로 한 지형학적 순간단위도의 유역의 동역학적 매개변수인 특성유속과 확산계수를 실제수문사상과 수치지형도상의 실제 하천망(Blue line)을 이용해 전역최적화 기법인 Shuffled Complex Evolution(SCE-UA)을 적용하여 산정하여 이를 하천망의 해상도에 따른 유역의 수문응답의 특성을 살펴본 결과 동일한 산정된 유속조건하에서 하천망의 해상도가 커짐에 따라 첨두시간과 지체시간은 작아지는 반면 첨두유량은 커지는 현상을 보였으며, 순간단위도의 형상을 결정짓는 유하시간 분포의 분산은 동수역학적 분산에 비해 지형학적 분산에 지배적인 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다.

  • This paper proposes a new blind measurement model of blocking artifacts. This model plays an important role in the assessment and enhancement of image quality caused by block-based DCT coding system. The proposed model can measure blocking artifacts without reference to original images and consider the HVS based visual model such as frequency sensitivity and channel masking effect to detect and measure overall blocking artifacts quantitatively. The experimental results show that the proposed model is highly effective in measuring blocking artifacts.

  • Assessment of the safety of ship's transit in the narrow channel consist of the maneuvering safety determined by the chance of running aground, the maneuvering difficulty determined by ship's workload and master's subjective evaluation. To examine the relation between master's subjective evaluation and maneuvering safety, this utilizes a real-time and full-mission shiphandling simulator in the Korea Marine Training & Research Institutes(KMTRI). The vessel chosen was 60,000-ton, Panamax-type ship. The findings regarding master's subjective evaluation were as follows: -Relation between master's subjective evaluation and common logarithms of stranding probability is linear. -Stranding probability with more than 0.001 is master's subjective evaluation with more than 5.
