  • In this paper, we suggest postal RFID adaptation model, tag data structure and code which can be used for real time trace and track of parcel processing and pallet management. This paper also shows postal RFID application system architecture and testbed based on the proposed tag data structure and code, and shows recognition performance of tag on parcel and pallet by speed and mounting tag material such as can, water, and paper using implemented postal RFID system for postal logistics. The contribution of this paper is to stimulate deployment of RFID technology for postal logistics service and SCM (Supply Chain Management).

  • 광 디스크 channel상에서 RSPC의 error correction capability를 확률적인 계산 방법으로 계산하는 데는 많은 어려움이 있다. 그 이유는 바로 광 디스크 channel이 burst error channel이기 때문인데, 이 burst error를 어떻게 다루는 가에 따라 그 error correction capability는 사뭇 달라진다. 이 논문에서는 Sony의 dust error distribution[1] 아래에서 4-state Morkov Chain[2]로 modeling하고 그 결과를 가지고 burst error를 channel의 특성과 ECC format의 특성에 맞게 제어할 수 있는 확률적인 계산방법을 소개하고 그것을 simulation하고자 한다.

  • Let $R_e\,=\,\frac{{\mathbb{F}}_{p^m}[u]}{{\langle}u^e{\rangle}}$, where p is a prime number, e is a positive integer and ue = 0. In this paper, we first characterize the structure of cyclic codes of length ps over Re. These codes will be classified into 2e distinct types. Among other results, in the case that e = 4, the torsion codes of cyclic codes of length ps over R4 are obtained. Also, we present some examples of cyclic codes of length ps over Re.

  • In this paper, we implemented the object scanning with nxtOSEK which is an open source platform. nxtOSEK consists of device driver of leJOS NXJ C/Assembly source code, TOPPERS/ATK(Automotive real time Kernel) and TOPPERS/JSP Real-Time Operating System source code that includes ARM7 specific porting part, and glue code make them work together. nxtOSEK can provide ANSI C by using GCC tool chain and C API and apply for real-time multi tasking features. We experimented the 3D scanning with ultra sonic and laser sensor which are made directly by laser module diode and experimented the measurement of scanning the object by knowing x, y, and z coordinates for every points that it scans. In this paper, the laser module is the dimension of $6{\times}10[mm]$ requiring 5volts/5[mW], and used the laser light of wavelength in the 650[nm] range. For detecting the object, we used the beacon detection algorithm and as the laser light swept the objects, the photodiode monitored the ambient light at interval of 10[ms] which is called a real time. We communicated the 3D scanning platform via bluetooth protocol with host platform and the results are displayed via DPlot graphic tool. And therefore we enhanced the functionality of the 3D scanner for identifying the image scanning with laser sensor modules compared to ultra sonic sensor.

An SS_RRA Protocol for Integrated Voice/Data Services in Packet Radio Networks

  • In this paper, an SS-RRA protocol that is based on Code Division Multiple Access is proposed and analyzed under the integrated voice and data traffic load. The backward logical channels consist of slotted time division frames with multiple spreading codes per slot. The protocol uses a reservation mechanism for the voice traffic, and a random access scheme for the data traffic. A discrete-time, discrete-state Markov chain is used to evaluate the performance. The numerical results show that the performance can be significantly improved by a few distinct spreading codes.

Theoretical comparison of electron beam initiated HF/DF laser output characteristics

  • The output characteristics of HF and DF lasers were compared theoretically. The simulation code shows the good agreement with the experimental results well. As results, the effect of chain termination reaction in $F_2$ rich mixture is larger than that of $SF_6$ rich mixture in HF and DF lasers.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상의 다양한 특징 정보 중에서 모양 특징을 이용한 영상 검색 시스템 을 제안한다. 모양 특징을 추출하기 위한 과정은 Chain Code를 이용 경계면의 좌표와 깊이를 구하는 과정, 경계면에 대한 무게 중심 추출 과정 그리고 영역의 넓이를 구하는 과정으로 구성되고, 무게 중심으로부터 경계면 가지 거리의 합, 표준 편차, 장축/단축 비율 등을 특징 정보로 이용한다. 각 질의 영상들의 특징 정보와 데이터베이스에 저장된 영상들의 특징 정보들을 비교하여 유사도 순위에 따라 후보영상들이 검색된다. 실험 대상으로는 170개의 폐곡선을 이루는 이진 도형 영상에 대한 검색 실험을 실시하였으며, 실험 결과 평균 Recall/Precision이 0.65/0.81을 보임으로써 제안된 방법이 유용함을 보였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상을 구성하는 객체들이 가지고있는 형태 특징을 이용한 영상 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 형태 특징을 추출하기 위한 과정은 입력 영상에 Chain Code를 이용 경계면의 좌표와 길이를 구하는 과정, 경계면에 대한 무게 중심 추출과정으로 구성되고, 무게 중심으로부터 경계면 까지 거리의 합, 표준 편차, 장축/단축 비율 그리고 히스토그램 등을 특징 정보로 이용한다. 영상을 이루는 객체의 회전이나, 이동 등으로 인한 변화에 둔감하게 하고 형태 특징 중심으로 영상을 검색하도록 설계하였다. 실험 대상으로는 170개의 폐곡선을 이루는 이진 도형 영상에 대한 검색 실험을 실시하였다.

  • SPM is MDC Processor for string pattern expressed in directional chain code. In this paper we consider the string pattern matching algorithm (Leve-nstein Algorithm) whitch is portion of Dynamic Programing, and propose architecture of SPM and simulate it on the R-T level to evaluate its architecture. We used the C language as the hardware description language, and developed it on the IBM PC/AT Zenix system V OS environment.

Citrus sorting system with a color image boundary tracking (칼라 영상의 경계추적에 의한 윤곽선 인식이 적용된 귤 선별시스템)

  • The quality of agricultural products is classified with various factors which are measured and determined by destructive and/or nondestructive method. NIR spectrum analysis method is used to determine internal qualities such as a brix and an acidity. CCD color camera is used to measure external quality like color and a size of fruit. Today, nondestructive methods are widely researched. The quality and the grade of fruit loaded into a cup automatically and measured in real time by camera and NIR system is determined by infernal and external factors. This paper proposes modified boundary tracking algorithm which detects the contour of fruit's color image and make chain code faster than conventional method. The chain code helps compute a size of fruit image and find multiple loading of a fruit in single cup or fruit between two cups. The designed classification system sorts a citrus at speed of 8 fruit/s, with evaluating a brix, an acidity and a size grade.
