색상과 Chain Code를 이용한 내용기반 영상검색 (Content-based Image Reterieval Using Color and Chain Code)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상의 내용을 나타내는 색상과 체인 코드에 기반한 복잡도와 영역 색정보를 이용한 내용 기반 영상 검색을 결합한 시스템을 구현하였다. 실험 대상으로 선택한 꽃 영상의 경우 대부분의 인식 대상 객체가 중앙에 있을 경우를 고려하여, 영상을 중앙 영역과 전체 영역으로 구분하고, 각각의 영역에서 두 개의 히스토그램을 생성한다. 그리고 전체 영역에 대한 기준치를 구하고 chain code글 이용한 복잡도를 구하였다. 중앙영역과 전체영역의 히스토그램 인터섹션을 이용한 검색을 실험하였고, 영역 색상과 복잡도를 결합한 검색도 또한 실험하였다. 기존의 히스토그램 인터섹션의 경우 Precision/Recall이 0.370/0.60인데 비해 영역 색상 히스토그램을 인터섹션한 경우의 Precision/Recall은 0.69/0.76이고 복잡도를 결합한 경우의 Precision/Recall은 0.92/0.80를 얻음으로써, 제안된 방식의 검색이 비교적 효율적임을 보였다.

  • This paper proposes the enhanced faulty node detection scheme with hybrid algorithm using Markov-chain model on BCH (Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem) code in naval distributed control networked systems. The probabilistic model-driven approach, on Markov-chain model, in this paper uses the faulty weighting interval factors, which are based on the BCH code. In this scheme, the master node examines each slave-nodes continuously using three defined states : Good, Warning, Bad-state. These states change using the probabilistic calculation method. This method can improve the performance of detecting the faulty state node more efficiently. Simulation results show that the proposed method can improve the accuracy in faulty node detection scheme for real-time naval distributed control networked systems.

  • This paper presents a code generation method and an effective handling algorithm of ingeger constant multiplication for RISC machines in compiler design. As RISC Architectures usually use faster and more simply formed instructions than CISC's and most RISC processors do not have an integer multiplication instruction, it is required an effective algorithm to process integer multiplication. For the proposed code generator, Portable C Compiler(PCC) is redesigned to be suitable for an RISC machine, and composed an addition chain is built up to allow fast execution of constant multiplication, a part of integer one whicch appears very frequency in code generation phase.

Link-Level Performance of Cooperative Multi-Hop Relaying Networks with MDS Codes

  • We evaluate the link-level performance of cooperative multi-hop relaying networks with an maximum distance separable (MDS) code. The effect of the code on the link-level performance at the destination is investigated in terms of the outage probability and the spectral efficiency. Assuming a simple topology, we construct an absorbing Markov chain. Numerical results indicate that significant improvement can be achieved by incorporating an MDS code. MDS codes successfully facilitate recovery of the message block at a relaying node due to powerful error-correcting capability, so that it can reduce the outage probability. Furthermore, we evaluate the average number of hops where the message block can be delivered.

ON LCD CODES OVER FINITE CHAIN RINGS

  • Linear complementary dual (LCD) codes are linear codes that intersect with their dual trivially. LCD cyclic codes have been known as reversible cyclic codes that had applications in data storage. Due to a newly discovered application in cryptography, interest in LCD codes has increased again. Although LCD codes over finite fields have been extensively studied so far, little work has been done on LCD codes over chain rings. In this paper, we are interested in structure of LCD codes over chain rings. We show that LCD codes over chain rings are free codes. We provide some necessary and sufficient conditions for an LCD code C over finite chain rings in terms of projections of linear codes. We also showed the existence of asymptotically good LCD codes over finite chain rings.

  • The supply chain security programs are designed to prevent terrorist attacks on world transit system, and to help protect the passengers and workers who use these systems on a daily basis. as evidenced by the train bombings in London and Madrid in recent years, the threats to America's transit systems are real. After 9 11 terrors in 2001, security problem is appearing to every nations and international organizations main pending issue than any problem and various countermeasure is prepared. Security is the major issue in international trade, with significant potential costs and economic impact. So, We need to ensure that supply chain security does not become a new non-tariffs barrier. The aim of this study is to examine the international maritime and aviation law on the supply chain security. Also I review the supply chain security in U.S. and other countries.

  • This paper presents a real time algorithm for monitoring of the arrythmia of ECG signal. A real time monitoring, following by detecting a QRS complex, is the most important. Using 2-dimensional time-delay coordinates which are reconstructed by the phase portrait plotting special trajectory, we detect QRS complexes. In this study, arrythmias are detected by matching the past standard template with tile present pattern when changing abruptly In order to matching with each other, we propose modified chain coding algorithm which applies vetor table consisting of eight orthonormal code(=binary code) to the phase portraits. This algorithm using logical function increases the weight if exceeding to the threshold determinded by correlation value and the distance from a straight line(y=x). Evaluating the performance of the proposed algorithm, we use standard MIT/BIH database. The results are fellowing, 1) Improve the speed of matching template than that of cross-correlation ever has been used. 2) Because the proposed algorithm is robust to varing fiducial point, it is possible to monitor the ECG signal with irregular RR interval. 3) In spite of baseline wandering owing to the low frequency noise, monitoring performance is not reduced.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상의 영역과 넓이를 이용하는 변형된 체인 코드에 기반한 복잡도와 영역 색상 정보를 이용한 내용 기반 영상 검색을 결합하여 WWW상에서 검색하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 입력된 영상을 이용하여 검색하는 방법을 사용하였으며, 색상 정보 추출은 RGB 신호를 256칼라로 양자화하였다. 보통의 정지 영상의 경우 대부분의 객체가 중앙에 있을 경우를 고려하여, 영상을 중앙 영역과 배경 영역으로 구분하고, 각각의 영역에서 두 개의 히스토그램을 생성한다. 중앙 영역과 배경 영역의 색상 히스토그램 인터섹션을 이용한 검색 및 물체의 복잡도를 결합한 방법도 제시하였다. 기존의 색상 히스토그램 인터섹션의 방법의 경우보다 물체의 복잡도를 결합한 제한된 방법이 실험결과에 더 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있다.
