A Study of Safety Life-cycle for Integrated Centralized Traffic Control(CTC) (통합사령실의 소프트웨어 개발에서 안전성 라이프사이클 개선에 대한 연구)

  • After the year of 2000, the need of safety increases in field of railroad. The project for developing Integrated Centralized Traffic Control(CTC) center started at 2002 to control the full domestic railroad network. A traffic control software was required the safety activity and assessment, according to 'KORAIL Instruction number 2001-49'. There were many trials and errors to perform safety activity because the technology and recognition of safety activity is in primary stage. However the safety activities are gradually stabilized. This paper describes the safety life-cycle and development life-cycle of Integrated CTC S/W and a suitable life-cycle of safety to develop S/W of Integrated CTC.

  • This study was carried out to design the stable elements of the aerial work machinery used in the orchard and farmland which had been conducted in the previous research. A hydraulic lifting lift has been developed to work safely at irregular and inclined locations using an auto leveling system and a horizontal sensor. The development of a centralized controller including remote control has been carried out in order to control the elevated work platform. Through the developed module, we carried out on-site test run to check whether the control is stable in the elevation workbench. Through the structural analysis of the elevation workbench, the maximum load and the equal load amount that the worker can safely work on the workbench are presented.

  • Tokyo dome is Japan's first air dome. The roof of the dome is supported by air pressure. The centralized control system (YOKOGAWA's DCS : CENTUM and YEWPACK) is applied to automatically regurate the air pressure. The control system acquires signals from sensors positioned throughout the stadium and operate 36 fans to blow air into the dome. Great emphasis is placed on the reliability and safety of the system.

  • Centralized safety stock in a periodic replenishment system which consists of one central warehouse and m regional warehouse can reduce backorders allocating the centralized safety stocks to regional warehouse in a certain instant of each replenishment cycle. If the central warehouse can not monitoring inventories in the regional warehouse, then we have to predetermine the instant of allocation according to demand distribution and this instant must be same for all different replenishment cycle. However, transition of inventory level in each cycle need not to be same, and therefore different instant of the allocation may results reduced shortage compare to the predetermined instant of allocation. In this research, we construct a dynamic model based on the assumption of monitoring inventories in the regional warehouse everyday, and develop an algorithm minimize shortage in each replenishment cycle using dynamic programming approach.

  • This paper presents the design and the implemenration of a Mutiuser Multimedia Confernce System for synchronous groupwork.The infrastructure of this system is a hybrid srchiercture of centralized and replicated archietctures,that is to maintain sharde information cinsistently and to reduce the overhead of network traffic to the central part.The communication control of data for groupwerk managrment is centralized to the virtual node and the communication control of real data such as audio,video,text is replicated.In order ot provide a realtime audio and video processing,this system uses synamic queues and multithreads.

  • For the successful promotion about the NGN (Next Generation Network), centralized network control and management technology is required to guarantee QoS and Traffic Engineering. This paper describes SNMP. Web Services and Network Open Interface based connection management scheme which can be used in centralized server based network in which the control plane is separated from transport plane. We also constructed platforms about each of these connection management schemes and performed comparing and analyzing the performance of connection setup delays.

  • There exist two critical in application of the magnetic bearing system. One is the control axis interference caused by gyroscopic effect and the other is the vibration caused by the unbalance on the rotor. To solve both problems at the same time, first, a centralized full-state feedback controller based on the LQR control theory was designed to compensate for the gyroscopic effect. Second, disturbance rejection control input based on the observer was designed to avoid the vibration causer by the unbalanced rotor. Balancing input computer accroding to LQR and output of the observer were derived in term of rotational speed. Effectiveness of the on-line balancing was verified through numerical simulation. The developed observer-based controller was also applied to the linear and nonlinear magnetic bearing systems.

  • This paper suggests the methodology to guarantee the rea1-time service over Ethernet and TCP/IP and to solve the problems such as re-transmission due to collision and platform-transparency and independence. This paper proposes a new mechanism called Real-time Ethernet protocol combined the centralized medium control mechanism with the token passing mechanism. The centralized medium control mechanism is used to get the token, the right to transmit the data, and the token passing mechanism is used to return the token to the token controller and to transmit data within the specified time interval. The proposed Real-Time Ethernet Protocol is based on Java and Java RMI(Remote Method Invocation). The presented protocol is believed to work enough in real-time applications considering latency occurred due to the Java RMI, which is less small than data transmission time.
