회전체의 비선형 정규 모우드에 관한 연구 (A study on the nonlinear normal modes of rotors)

  • In the present paper nonlinear normal modes of a rotor system is studied. The methodology to obtain the nonlinear normal modes is based on center manifold reduction technique. It also provides a way of nonlinear coordinate transform from the physical cordinates to the modal coordinates and an idea of individual nonlinear modal dynamics. In order to apply the present method to a rotor dynamics a single mass rotor system on nonlinear elastic supports is employed and the nonlinear normal modes of the system are obtained.

DYNAMICAL BIFURCATION OF THE ONE-DIMENSIONAL CONVECTIVE CAHN-HILLIARD EQUATION

  • In this paper, we study the dynamical behavior of the one-dimensional convective Cahn-Hilliard equation(CCHE) on a periodic cell [$-{\pi},{\pi}$]. We prove that as the control parameter passes through the critical number, the CCHE bifurcates from the trivial solution to an attractor. We describe the bifurcated attractor in detail which gives the final patterns of solutions near the trivial solution.

스크린 필터 구조 Partial Metal DPF의 PM 저감 특성 (PM Reduction Characteristics of Partial Metal DPF with Screen Mesh Filter Structure)

  • In this work, the 1L grade integrated metal DOC/DPF filter that can install in engine manifold position was developed to investigate the effect of platinum-coating amount of filter on the improvement of filter activation temperature and reduction of particulate matter (PM). This filter was installed in 2.9L CI engine which meets the EURO-4 emission regulation. Tests for PM reduction efficiency of filter were conducted under ND-13 mode with full-load test condition. It was revealed that the time to reach the activation temperature of metal filter ($280^{\circ}C$) was shorter as the amount of platinum-coating increased. This short activation time can be helpful for the reduction of CO and HC emissions during cold start condition. At the same time, PM reduced as the coating amount increased. The reduction percentage of $DOC_{40}$, $DOC_{20}$, and $DOC_0$ were 96.7% (2.34 mg/kW'h), 95.1% (3.47 mg/kW'h), and 94.5% (3.69 mg/kW'h) compared to previous result (71.4 mg/kW'h), respectively.

  • An output multiplexer of manifold type is widely used in a recent satellite transponder for its mass and volume reduction. For correct operation, the filters of such a multiplexer must be singly terminated. In this paper, a simple synthesis method of a 6-pole dual-mode singly-terminated filter is described. From the transfer function of the filter, network parameters such as in/output terminations and coupling coefficients are obtained easily without complicated matrix algebra such as orthogonal projection and similarity transformation. Two different-structure filters are taken into consideration and the network parameters of each filter have been extracted from the same transfer function. It is shown that the responses of two filters are same to each other since their network parameters are obtained from the same transfer function. The method described in this paper can be applied to the other degree singly terminated filter.

STABILITY AND BIFURCATION ANALYSIS FOR A TWO-COMPETITOR/ONE-PREY SYSTEM WITH TWO DELAYS

  • The present paper is concerned with a two-competitor/oneprey population system with Holling type-II functional response and two discrete delays. By linearizing the system at the positive equilibrium and analyzing the associated characteristic equation, the asymptotic stability of the positive equilibrium and existence of local Hopf bifurcations are investigated. Particularly, by applying the normal form theory and the center manifold reduction for functional differential equations (FDEs) explicit formulae determining the direction of bifurcations and the stability of bifurcating periodic solutions are derived. Finally, to verify our theoretical predictions, some numerical simulations are also included at the end of this paper.

비도로 차량용 디젤엔진의 배기가스 저감에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Reduction of Diesel-Engine Emissions for Off-Road Vehicles)

  • 비도로 차량용 디젤엔진의 Tier 4 interim 규제를 만족하기 위하여 입자상물질과 질소산화물 배출량은 현행 규제 대비 각각 95%, 30% 저감되어야 하며, 입자상 물질을 저감하기위한 방법으로 디젤산화촉매, 부분유량 매연 여과장치 및 매연여과장치가 비도로 차량용 디젤엔진에 적용될 수 있다. 또한 질소산화물을 저감하기위해 배기가스 재순환방법, 선택적 환원촉매와 희박 질소산화물 포집장치 등이 적용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 56kW급 off-road 차량에서의 입자상물질과 질소산화물을 저감하기위해 매연여과장치와 고압루프 배기가스재순환 시스템이 연구되었다. 실험결과로서 디젤산화촉매와 매연여과장치는 입자상물질을 저감하는데 매우 효과적이었으며 낮은 배압과 함께 출력손실도 5%이내였다. 고압루프 배기가스재순환을 적용한 결과 중 저부하 조건에서 효과적으로 질소산화물을 저감하였으며 배기가스재순환율이 높을수록 질소산화물의 저감율도 증가하였다.
