A coolant operating condition in al fuel cell stack was an important factor to determine the temperature distribution which affected the fuel cell performance and relative humidity. In this study, the fuel cell performance was evaluated as a function of the coolant flow rate with the range of $0.1{\sim}0.8$ liter/min cell and the coolant inlet temperature of $20{\sim}82^{\circ}C$. The cell temperature increased with increasing the coolant inlet temperature and with decreasing the coolant flow rate. The coolant inlet temperature and flow rate to maintain the better performance of the fuel cell were in the range of $45{\sim}60^{\circ}C$ and $0.2{\sim}0.4$ liter/min cell, respectively. The experimental results showed that the optimal heat removal rate from the stack by coolant was $0.4{\sim}0.6W/cm^2$ cell.
Design analysis of the solid oxide fuel cell and gas turbine combined power system is performed considering different methods for preheating cell inlet air. The purpose of air preheating is to keep the temperature difference between cell inlet and outlet within a practical design range. Three different methods are considered such as a burner in front of the cell, a preheater in front of the cell and recirculation of the cathode exit gas. Analyses are carried out for two maximum cell temperature differences. The greater temperature difference ensures higher efficiency. The cathode exit gas recirculation exhibits better performance than other methods.
Objectives: This study was performed to examine the effects of storage time and temperature and their interaction on the hygienic quality parameters of shell eggs. Methods: Eggs from 40-week-old Hy-Line Brown hens were sampled immediately after being laid and subjected to storage periods of four weeks at a refrigerated temperature ($4-5^{\circ}C$) or room temperature ($13.0-19.7^{\circ}C$). Interior/exterior qualities were examined every one week. Results: Weight loss was 2.4-3.1%. The initial specific gravity of the eggs was maintained until one week at both temperatures. Air cell size exceeded 4 mm when stored for one week at room temperature, and two weeks at refrigerated temperature. Albumen index and Haugh unit were significantly decreased at both temperatures after one week (p<0.001). Rapidly increased pH of the albumen with one week of storage was observed, regardless of temperature (p<0.001). Extension of the storage for up to four weeks at room temperature resulted in remarkable deterioration of eggshell quality and instrumental color as redness (a). Air cell size, albumen and yolk indices, Haugh unit, pH of albumen and yolk were found to be influenced by storage time and temperature (p<0.001). Interaction effects between storage time and temperature were also significant for air cell size, pH of albumen and yolk (p<0.001). Conclusion: The results suggest that air cell size and pH of albumen and yolk were important parameters influenced by storage time and temperature in shell eggs. Storage time was more influential for air cell size, and temperature for the pH of yolk. Both variables almost equally influenced the pH of albumen.
The packed cell volume(PCV) of Korean native goat, volume percentage of red blood cell in whole blood, was reshuffled of 20%, 40% and 60% using autoplasma, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate was measured in Westergren tubes at room temperature ($27{\pm}1^{\circ}C$) and low temperature ($8{\pm}1^{\circ}C$). The sedimentation rates of red blood cell obtained are summarized as follows. The erythrocyte sedimentation rates of Korean native goat are accelerated more at high temperature than low temperature. The erythrocyte sedimentation rates of reshuffled Korean native goat upon time are almost linear for several hours. The erythrocyte sedimentation rates of Korean native goat are settled faster at low PCV than higher PCV, i. e., there is a reverse relationshif between the erythrocyte sedimentation rate and packed cell volume.
In the clincal application of Hyperthermia, tissue temperature measurements are made at only a few selecte4 locations because of patient tolerance and practical clinical limitation. Since it is necessary to know the complete carcinoma cell temperature field in order to treat effectively, The difficulty of making such estimates from only a few point compounded because of the lack of knowledge of the carcinomoma cell blood perfusion characteristics. To solve the temperature on carcinoma cell, A noninvasive method (the finite element method) is used. The simulation results show that the finite element method is promising for estimating the complete corcinoma cell temerature distribution, if some knowledge of the blood perfusion pattern is available.

Fuel cell is a device that directly converts chemical energy in the form of a fuel into electrical energy by way of an electrochemical reaction. In the anode for a high temperature fuel cell, nickel or nickel alloy has been used in consideration of the cost, oxidation catalystic ability of hydrogen which is used as fuel, electron conductivity, and high temperature stability in reducing atmosphere. Most MCFC stacks currently operate at an average temperature of $650^{\circ}C$. There is some gains with decreased temperature in MCFC to diminish the electrolyte loss from evaporation and the material corrosion, which could improve the MCFC life. However, operating temperature has a strong related on a number of electrode reaction rates and ohmic losses. Baker et al. reported the effect of temperature (575 to $650^{\circ}C$). The rates of cell voltage loss were 1.4mV/$^{\circ}C$ for a reduction in temperature from 650 to $600^{\circ}C$, and 2.16mV/$^{\circ}C$ for a decrease from 600 to $575^{\circ}C$. The two major contributors responsible for the change in cell voltage with reducing operation temperature are the ohmic polarization and electrode polarization. It appears that in the temperature range of 550 to $650^{\circ}C$, about 1/3 of the total change in cell voltage with decreasing temperature is due to an increase in ohmic polarization, and the electrode polarization at the anode and cathode. In addition, the oxidation reaction of hydrogen on an ordinary nickel alloy anode in MCFC is generally considered to take place in the three phase zone, but anyway the area contributing to this reaction is limited. Therefore, in order to maintain a high performance of the fuel cell, it is necessary to keep this reaction responsible area as wide as possible, that is, it is needed to keep the porosity and specific surface area of the anode at a high level. In this study effective anodes are prepared for low temperature MCFC capable of enhancing the cell performance by using zirconium hydride at least in part of anode material.
The different weight ratios of Pd to Pt, i.e., 16:4, 10:10, 4:16 in Pd-Pt/C and Pd (20 wt. %) /C electrocatalysts with low metal loading were synthesized for glycerol electrooxidation in an air breathing microfluidic fuel cell (MFC). The cell performance on Pd-Pt (16:4)/C anode electrocatalyst was found best among all the electrocatalysts tested. The single cell when tested at a temperature of 35℃ using Pd-Pt (16:4)/C, showed maximum open circuit voltage (OCV) of 0.70 V and maximum power density of 2.77 mW/㎠ at a current density of 7.71 mA/㎠. The power density increased 1.45 times when cell temperature was raised from 35℃ to 75℃. The maximum OCV of 0.78 V and the maximum power density of 4.03 mW/㎠ at a current density of 10.47 mA/㎠ were observed at the temperature of 75℃. The results of CV substantiate the single cell performance for various operating parameters.

Since the operating temperature of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) is high, the heat management of the gases supplied to fuel cell system is important. In this paper, the temperature characteristic of the gases supplied to the anode and the cathode of the fuel cell is studied in case of utilizing the waste heat contained in the ship exhaust gas as a heat source to heat up the fuel, gas and water supplied to a 500kW SOFC system for a ship power. For the fuel cell system proposed in this paper, the temperature of gases supplied to the anode and the cathode was the highest temperature at 963K when the exhaust gas of the fuel cell was utilized as the heat source for gases supplied to fuel cell system instead of utilizing the ship exhaust gas. In addition, the engine power did not effect on the temperature of gases supplied to the fuel cell stack.

The characteristics for hydrogen production and the thermochemical properties of high temperature steam electrolysis(HTSE) device have been numerically analyzed in a two-dimension, steady-state with using the COMSOL $Multiphysics^{(R)}$. The main parameters for the calculation are applied voltage, ASR(Area-specific Resistance), temperature and pressure of the inlet gas flow. The results showed that thermal-neutral voltage was 1.2454 V and rather than the cell temperature increases or decreases with increasing applied voltage by thermal-neutral voltage starting this voltage the temperature in high voltage tended to rise and temperature in the low voltage tended to fall. And with, increasing the values of ASR, temperature inside the cell and the hydrogen production rate were decreased.
