This paper proposes a mathematical model for the statistics of the W-CDMA signals with different bandwidth. Based on the statistics of numerically generated signals, a mathematical model is obtained such as Rayleigh, Rician, and Maxwell distribution. We employ Chi-square test to verify the fitness of the mathematical model with signal statistics. The results show obviously that the new proposed model is useful for representing W-CDMA signals.

전력선은 백색 가우시안 배경 잡음뿐 아니라 임펄스 잡음, 고조파 잡음 등의 비 가우시안 잡음들로 인해 통신 채널로서 열악한 전송 특성을 나타낸다. 또한 좁은 가용 대역폭으로 인해, 광대역 특성이 요구되는 DS-CDMA 방식과 같은 대역 확산 시스템의 적용에 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 차세대 고속이동통신을 위한 다원접속/변조방식인 멀티코드 (multi-code) CDMA 방식과 이에 길쌈 부호와 인터리빙 등의 부호화 기능을 더한 시스템을 전력선 통신 시스템에 적용하고, 모의실험을 통해 전력선 채널의 비 가우시안 잡음의 영향을 매우 효과적으로 보상할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Direct-Sequence code-division multiple access(DS/CDMA) is considered by many to be a promising technology for future wireless communication networks. In this paper, we report new analysis for probability of BPSK CDMA hypothesis test in jointly distributed AWGN Rayleigh-fading received signal. In previous method, analysis is performed on AWGN or Rayleigh-faded signal in separately. In this paper, we propose model for hypothesis test system of the AWGN Rayleigh-faded received signal.

In this paper, we analyzed a physical layer of W-CDMA system and a performance of a downlink of W-CDMA system by using the space-time code by computer simulation over the ITU-R realistic channel model. From the results of the simulation, we note that the increase of multi-path components affects the improvement of the system performance because of the effect of the RAKE receiver.

In this paper, it is analyzed the statistical characteristics on the transmission performance of the optical SCM transmission in the CDMA RF signal relay system. Using Mach-Zehnder modulator, optical signal is regenerated into CDMA RF signal. Transfer function model of mach-Zehnder modulator is approximated to the third power of the input signal using Taylor series. BER results are analyzed under the multiple access interference and multi-path fading environment.

SSB(Single Sideband) modulation scheme is high bandwidth efficient method in the mobile communication system compared with present DSB(Double Sideband) modulation scheme. Using the othogonality between inphase PN code and Hilbert transformed quadrature PN code, we propose phase estimation structure that enables coherent demodulation in the reverse link basestation receiver Several system characteristics, bit error rate and phase error variance, are simulated and compared with balanced QPSK DS/CDMA system. To verify system performance, SSB/BPSK-DS/CDMA test board is implemented using FPGA chips.

In this paper, using diversity the DS-CDMA system to modulation, performance of DS/CDMA system we have been analyzed. Channels is multipath resolution, and receiver is assemed maximal ratio combining(MRC) using to rake receiver. Simulations have been using element number of communication channels. Therefore, progress average bit error probability have been element number of increment.

In this paper, we apply a digital modulation scheme called Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) in which data symbols are transmitted at multiple subcarriers. Each subcarrier is encoded with a phase offset of -π or π based on a pseudo-random noise(PN) sequence. MC-CDMA scheme is introduced to combat against the multipath fading. We annalize above system and derive the average probability of error in AWGN and Rayleigh fading environment.

In this paper, we propose a new communciation scheme combining both MT modulation and DS-CDMA with a concatenated orthogonal/PN spreading sequence. This scheme incorporates the advantages of both DS-CDMA wit a concatenated sequence, and an MT modulation technique to combat the effect of a multipath fading channel. It is shown that he proposed system outperforms the MT-CDMA system with a convetional PN sequence.

We implemented a code searcher which is used for the PN(pseudo noise) code acquisition in CDMA cellular mobile station. To reduce the reuired hardware and the code acquisition time, we used the double dwell structure which is an effective serial code acquisition metho. We designed a code acquisition has acquired within 1/2 PN chip range. The code searcher is implemented using 0.8 micron code searcher is successfully working in CDMA cellular mobile station and it satisfies the code acquisition time specified in IS-95 standard.
