  • In this study, we develop a method for analyzing business process based on the event-driven process chain (EPC) model. The method consists of five stages such as identifying abnormal events, finding causes for the abnormal events and problems caused by the abnormal events, making cause-and-effect chains, drawing root-cause map, and defining improvement areas. We illustrate how to apply the method with some examples for the domestic registered mail delivery process.

  • We propose the equivalent circuit model including all parasitic components in input gate of sense amplifier of DDI DRAM with butting contact structure. We analysed the effect of parasitic schottky diode by using the proposed model in the operation of sense amplifier. The cause of single side fail and the temperature dependence of fail rate in DDI DRAM are due to creation of the parasitic schottky diode in input gate of sense amplifier. The parasitic schottky diode cause the voltage drop in input gate, and result in decreasing noise margin of sense amplifier. therefore single side fail rate increase.

  • Recently, owing to the development of industry and the improvement of building techniques, the concrete structure is becoming larger and higher. In hardening these large concrete, the heat of hydration gives rise to considerable thermal stress depending on the size and environmental condition of concrete, which might cause thermal cracking. Especially, the crack may cause severe damage to the safety and the durability of concrete structure. This study is investigated the thermal properties of concrete according to several binder conditions, such as OPC, Belite rich cement(BRC), slag cement(SC), blast furnace slag (BFS) added cement, fly ash added cement and BFS-fly ash added cement. As a result of this study, the concrete made with BRC, fly ash($25\%$) added cement and BFS($35\%$)-fly ash($15\%$) added cement gets superior effect in the control of heat hydration.

  • The purpose of this study is analyzing the performance of sea water cooling system under various refrigerant pipe length. In sea water cooling system, the increase of refrigerant pipe length cause increases of pressure drops. These pressure drops cause fresh gas in liquid pipe and increase specific volume in gas pipe outlet, so sea water cooling system capacity is decreased by decrease of refrigerant mass flow rate. Sea water cooling system capacity in refrigerant pipe length 70m is decreased more than 30% when compared with pipe length 10m and the decrease of the coefficient of performance is nearly 20%.

  • Particles in the HDD can cause serious damages such as scratches and thermal asperity(TA) at the head/disk interface(HDI). Accordingly, particles cause data loss including physical and electrical damages. To improve the reliability of head-disk interface, understanding the damage characteristics at the HDI due to particle interactions is required. The materials such as $A1_2O_3$, TiC and aluminum were used in this experiment. The size and hardness of particles injected into the HDI are closely relevant to surface damage caused the data loss on the disk and head. In this paper, a variety of scratches were analyzed using scanning electron microscope(SEM) and atomic force microscope(AFM). In order to analyze defects of very small size on the disk, optical surface analyzer(OSA) was also used.

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the thinking of children, preliminary elementary teachers and elementary teachers in relation to the experiment of candle's combustion in a bottle on the water, to develop some supplementary experiments for the correction of the misconception on this experiment and to propose a new teaching method for this subject-matter The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. Most of the answers are related to the simple observation as the extinguishing of candlelight and the water rising in the bottle after a candle's combustion. And it is appeared that all the groups are similarly short of the ability of experimental design to verify the cause and effect. 2. from the results of the developed supplementary experiments, it is concluded that the main cause of the water rising is not the combustion of oxygen, but the expansion of volume and the releasing of air in the bottle in the bottle by heat of candle's combustion. 3. Based on the above results, a new direction for the teaching method of this subject is proposed.

On the other hand, LHC gets superior effect in the control of heat hydration, it's caused by the volume of OPC.

  • The typical aeroelastic analysis for a complex configuration such as a complete aircraft was done using the aerodynamic results of the wing and the structural modes of a complete aircraft; that is, the aerodynamics of a wing of a complete aircraft is assumed to be not much influenced by the body shape. Nevertheless, the body shape can cause a distortion of aerodynamic pressure on the wing surface and it is necessary to investigate the body effect in flutter analysis. In this reseasrch, MGM inverse design method is applied to include the body effect of a wing-body model which disturbs the pressure distribution on the wing surface.

  • A three dimensional multibody modeling of a launcher system was developed and dynamic characteristics of the system was carried out. All the components were modeled as rigid bodies, All the components of system, ie; chassis, turret, cage and suspension parts, are modeled as rigid. The force interaction between the ground and tire was modeled as a point contact model. The factors were selected as cause and effect diagram of the MINITAB. To see effect of the stiffness, damping, mass at the launcher system, several cases of suspension parameters were compared and optimal values were selected. The stiffness and the damping coefficient were selected as design variables to minimize the required time for the next fire. The dynamic simulation was carried out using the ADAMS, and the MINITAB was employed for data analysis.

  • In this paper, We coupled fluid balance and director balance equation from Ericksen-Leslie's continuum theory and observed the motion of Liquid Crystal molecular. We simulated flow velocity and director distribution in which flow effect is considered in switching on and switching off state. We interpreted the dynamic response characteristic caused by the flow. As the result of the simulation, We could see the flow effect. In the case of Twisted Nematic(TN) cell, this flow caused abnormal twist temporarily in switching off state. We could prove that this abnormal twist is a direct cause of optical bounce phenomenon known well until now with the result of simulation. In addition, We analyzed the mechanism of the fast response due to flow in the case of Optically Compensated Bend(OCB) cell.
