터널 브래킷을 사용한 가선시스템의 최고속도 예측 및 검토 (A prediction of maximum operation speed for the catenary using tunnel bracket)

  • The catenary system supported by the tunnel bracket which has been used uniquely in KNR was selected as the catenary inside narrow existing tunnel in the electrification of Kyeung-Bu Line for operation of Korea High Speed Train(KTX). It was demanded to judge the maximal operable speed of KTX in this catenary system to implement the planning. To do this, the tunnel bracket was firstly tested to obtain the characteristic data. The stiffness of this bracket are computed depending on the location which catenary installed on. Moreover, the catenary using tunnel bracket is modelled numerically respecting the bracket stiffness. Based on these, the dynamics between this catenary and KTX pantograph are simulated with the program developed by ourselves independently. The simulation result are evaluated according to the generally acceptable criteria. Consequently, the maximal operable speed of KTX in the catenary using KNR(Korean National Railroad) tunnel bracket is predicted and some items which are needed to be kept in the processing of implementation are drawn.

파랑 중 스파 플랫폼의 시간영역 해석 (Time Domain Analysis of Spar Platform in Waves)

  • The Spar platform with deep draft is characterized as effective structure in extreme wave condition, which has larger natural period than that of waves in sea. In this paper, the time simulation of motion responses of Spar with catenary mooring line is presented in irregular waves. The memory effect is modeled by added mass at infinite frequency and convolution integrals in terms of wave damping coefficients. The added mass, wave damping coefficients and wave exciting forces are obtained from three-dimensional panel method in the frequency domain. The motion equations are consisted of forces for inetia, memory effect, hydrostatic restoring, wave exciting and mooring line. The forces of mooring line are modeled as quasi-static catenary cable.

  • This study presents a simulation of the traction return current based on $2{\times}25kV$ power supply system in order to determine the impedance bond intensity of impulse type track circuit on the electrified Gyeongbu line. The results of the simulation enables us to measure the precise intensity of catenary current that returns to the substation through KTX (Korean Train Express) operated by $2{\times}25kV$ power supply system with common earth network. The combination of $2{\times}25kV$ and common earth network established on the electrified Gyeongbu line for the first time in Korea.   • This paper estimates line constants of equivalent five-conductors model using the reduced equivalent method. Actually, the catenary system is considered by the equivalent five-conductors model in the electrical aspect. Therefore, we should compose the catenary system of the equivalent five-conductors model, then the line constants of this equivalent five-conductors model are calculated. This paper shows the reducing process about the real system of the field by using the proposed theory. Also the line constants of reduced system are provided in this paper.

  • The wear of the third track power collector is one of the essential check factors for safe train operation. Rapid wear of the current collector accelerates the line of the catenary. In addition, the arc generated when the catenary line is turned off causes a malfunction in the minute portion of the catenary line, thereby shortening the life of the catenary line. In this paper, to analyze the mechanical wear of the current collector during driving according to the environmental factor of the Maglev(magnetic levitation train), it was divided into dry season and wet season. the wear of metallized collector, copper alloy collector and carbon collector were measured and compared with each other. The wear rate was measured according to the position of the wire, the position of the power collector and the position per hour. Microscopic photographs of the cross section and surface of the power collector were measured. The electrical currents of the metallized collector, copper alloy collector and carbon collector were measured.

  • The study is about a neutral section device adopted in the catenary system in connection with KNR's project to electrify the conventional Honam-Line. A neutral section device(PTFE type) adopting into catenary system accepts a train velocity of 200km/h, installed firstly in Korea electric. railway system. This study shows technologies and construction cases of the neutral section device.

  • The 350[km/h] catenary system was successfully opened in Honam high speed line. This 350[km/h] catenary system is firstly constructed in South Korea. Therefore the current collection performance of this system should be tested and evaluated by the authority. This paper describes the testings by running of HEMU-430X train and the evaluation criteria and result analysis to determine whether the performance of the catenary is good or not as a verification of catenary-pantograph interface. In detail, the contact force by pantograph, arcs by loss of contact and uplift amount of the catenary support were measured and discussed as a category of the current collection performance.

  • when a fault occurs, we need the fault locator to find out the location of the fault quickly. The fault locator can find out the exact location of the fault through the line constants of the catenary system. If the configuration of the catenary system is modified, the line constants is also changed. Therefore, this paper analyzes the error of the operation of the fault locator by the simulation.
