  • 본 사례는 Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV)의 선구자인 기아자동차 SOUL이 혁신적인 제품전략을 통하여 어떻게 새로운 시장을 개척하였는지를 분석하고 있다. 지금까지 대부분의 자동차 제조업체들은 전통적인 시장세분화 기준에 치중하여, 여러 소비자 계층들을 동시에 만족시킬 수 있는 신제품 개발의 기회를 놓치고 있었다. 기아자동차 SOUL은 여러 소비자 계층을 만족시킬 수 있는 제품에 대한 기회를 포착하고, 기존 소비자 계층별 가치를 통합적으로 제공하여 새로운 시장을 열었다. 본 사례는 포화상태에 있는 자동차 산업에서 혁신적인 제품전략을 통해 신시장을 개척하는 과정을 잘 보여주고 있다. 기아자동차 SOUL의 혁신적 제품전략을 크게 디자인 혁신, CUV 시장 개척, 고객을 위한 맞춤서비스 제공, 그리고 기능 혁신의 4가지 축으로 설명하고 있다. 기아자동차 SOUL의 혁신적인 제품전략은 블루오션 개척을 계획하고 있는 많은 기업에게 의미 있는 시사점을 제공해 준다.

위탁급식전문업체의 운영관리 인프라 시스템에 대한 본사와 업장 측면에서의 중요도, 지원도, 활용도 탐색 (Importance, Support and Application for Contract Foodservice Management Company′s Infra-System in the Viewpoint of Headquarters and Branch Office)

  • This study was design to grope the suggestions leading synergic effects by bridging the gap between headquarters and branch office, and so to identify the infra-system of contract foodservice management company (CFMC) necessary for operating any kind of branch office including school, hospital and business and industry (B&I). Among 8 categories consisted of infra-system in CFMC, 'C8. Evaluation & analysis for branch office's operation' was the most important category in the headquarter's viewpoint, while 'C3. Sanitation management system' was the most important category in branch office's viewpoint. In support and application, 'C3. Sanitation management system' was the highest category in both headquarters and branch offices including school, hospital and B&I. As a result of analysis on gap between main and branch office in importance, support and application in 8 categories, the efforts of communication and community of perception for infrastructure were needed, because 'C4. Education & training for human resource management (HRM) system' and 'C8. Evaluation & analysis for branch office's operation' in importance, 'C2. Menu management system', 'C4. Education & training for HRM system', 'C6. Facility & utility support system' and 'C8. Evaluation & analysis for branch office's operation' in support had a gap. Correlation analysis to grasp the relation between importance of infra-system and headquarters' support or branch office's application showed that headquarters's importance and support were correlated positively in 'C3. Sanitation management system', 'C6. Facility & utility support system', 'C7. Customer satisfaction management system' and 'C8. Evaluation & analysis for branch office's operation' and branch office's importance and application were correlated positively in 'C1. Procurement & food processing system', 'C5. Management Information system', 'C7. Customer satisfaction management system' and 'C8. Evaluation & analysis for branch office's operation'. Lastly, 'C6. Facility & utility support system' in the branch office of school and hospital and 'C2. Menu management system' in the branch office of B&I were high in importance, low in support and application, therefore Intensive support for these categories was needed. In conclusion, continuous check and improvement for categories, which were identified as an urgent problems to be solved in this study, among infra-structure qualifying for CFMC, would enable contract foodservice industry that has grown quantitatively till now to grow qualitatively.

A Study on Energy Platform Using Data in the US: Based on Opening Platform Model

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze various energy platforms using data in the US and to suggest directions and implications. Some of the leading energy platforms are selected and analyzed based on the opening platform model. We focus on the case analysis of the US utility companies. In case of the horizontal open platform, Green Button sponsor's 'Connect My Data (CMD)' driven by the government invites the utility companies to jointly develop the sponsor's data solution. In case of the vertical open platform, the certification program 'Share My Data (SMD)' allows backward compatibility, because the technical improvement is minimal. The utility companies benchmark Amazon's three-sided market mediation and prefer platform and category exclusivity. For the former, they have data analytics companies like Enervee, Opower and for the latter, they have electronics manufactures and energy service providers (ESPs) like Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). Based on this US case study, we suggest the energy platforms to open their platform for renewable energy supply, energy conservation, high-efficiency products, and residential DER dissemination. To successfully implement the government's energy transition policy, the US platforms should be benchmarked as a business model. Especially, it is needed for them to coordinate a platform ecosystem. To ensure trust in the products and services offered on the marketplace platform, platform's certification program is helpful.

프로스펙트 이론과 속성별 제거모형을 중심으로 한 행동경제학에 대한 비판적 고찰 (A Critical Review on Behavioral Economics with a Focus on Prospect Theory and EBA Model)

  • Purpose - For the past several decades, behavioral economics or behavioral decision theory has undergone rapid development. This study provides a critical review of the development of behavioral economics with a focus on what are deemed to be core theories in the field. Starting from the utility function proposed by Daniel Bernoulli in the 18th century, the development history of utility functions until the emergence of the prospect theory is thoroughly reviewed. Some of the experimental results violating the traditionally assumed utility function and supporting the prospect theory value function are summarized. The most representative principles of rational choice are transitivity, independence from irrelevant alternatives (IIA), and regularity. The development of behavioral economics has been triggered by finding counter-examples to these principles. Some of the choice behaviors discussed in this study as counter-examples to the traditional theories of rational choice are the St. Petersburg paradox; the Allais paradox; gambling behavior; and the various context effects including the similarity effect, attraction effect, and the compromise effect. The Elimination-by-Aspects (EBA) model, which was proposed as an explanation for the similarity effect, is discussed in detail as well. Based on the literature review and further analysis, this study summarizes the relationship between the context effects, prospect theory, and EBA model. Research design, data, and methodology - This study provides an extensive literature review on several important theories in the field of behavioral decision theory and adds some critical comments to the theories and the relationships among them. This study first reviews the development of utility functions. Daniel Bernoulli introduced the concept of utility function to solve the St. Petersburg paradox. In the mid-20th century, Herbert Simon proposed the "satisficing" heuristic and presented a value function with a shape different from traditional utility functions. This study highlights the strengths and weaknesses of several utility functions proposed until the emergence of the prospect theory value function. Results - This study posits that prospect theory and EBA model are the two most important theories in the field of behavioral decision theory. They can explain various choice behaviors that traditional utility maximization analysis has been unable to. The application of these models to various fields is further increasing nowadays. This study explains how prospect theory and the EBA model can be used to explain the context effects. Conclusions - The traditional economic theory relies on a single variable called "utility" in explaining consumer choice. However, this study argues that, in investigating consumer choice, several other variables should also be considered. These are the similarity among alternatives, an alternative's prototypicality within the category, the dominance relationship between alternatives, and the reference point in evaluating alternatives. Due to the development of behavioral economics, we are now closer to a more complete understanding of consumer choice behavior than in the past when we had only a single tool called utility.

범주 기반 평가를 이용한 검색시스템의 성능 향상 (Improving Performance of Search Engine Using Category based Evaluation)

  • 정보에 대한 공간 복잡도가 높은 현재의 인터넷 환경에서는 사용자가 원하는 정보를 정확히 제공하는 것이 검색엔진의 목표이다. 그러나 대다수 검색엔진이 활용하는 내용 기반 기법은 현재의 인터넷 환경에서는 효과적인 도구로 사용될 수 없다. 내용 기반 기법은 어휘의 형태적 특성을 이용하여 웹페이지 가중치를 결정하기 때문에 웹페이지에 대한 변별력이 우수하지 못하다는 단점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하여 사용자에게 효과적인 정보를 제공하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 범주 기반 평가 기법을 제안한다. 범주 기반 평가 기법은 질의어를 의미관계로 확장하여 웹페이지와 유사성을 측정한다. 웹페이지 가중치 적용에 있어서, 범주 기반 평가 기법은 웹페이지 검색에 대한 사용자 반응과 질의어 범주를 가중치에 활용함으로써 웹페이지에 대한 변별력을 증가시킨다. 본 논문에서 제안한 기법은 사용자가 원하는 정보를 검색엔진을 통해 효과적으로 제공할 수 있는 장점이 있으며, 다양한 실험을 통해 범주 기반 평가 기법의 활용성을 확인하였다.

  • On this study, as a Human Factor(HF)'s point of view, typical PVI(Pilot Vehicle Interface) evaluation for small airplane cockpit design, PVI evaluation items and procedures to show compliance to KAS Part 23 "Airworthiness Standards : Normal, Utility, Acrobatic, And Commuter Category Airplanes" are introduced and reviewed. This study is based on the experience of Korean small civil airplane development and certification program.

패션상품 구매의사 결정과정에서의 상품유형별 채널평가가 멀티채널 이용도에 미치는 영향 (Influences of channel assessment on the usage levels of multi-channels by product category in decision making process for purchasing fashion products)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the influences of channel assessments on the usage of multi-channels by product types, and the differences in the usage of multi-channels among product types in buying decision making process for fashion products. Data were collected from 510 consumers in their 20s to 50s with purchasing experiences through multi-channel distribution system and living in Seoul and Kyunggi province; 491 were analyzed after deleting incomplete questionnaires. Factor analysis, multiple regression analysis and one-way ANOVA were used for statistical analysis by using SPSS 18.0. The results were as follows: 5 factors were extracted for channel assessment: utility, accuracy, risk, price benefit and sharing information. Price benefits, utility and sharing information for online channel tended to influence positively on the usage of online channel and online+offline channels. Accuracy and low perceived risk of offline influenced positively on offline and on+offline channel usages. The usage levels of on-line and off-line channels for cosmetics were significantly lower than the usage levels for clothes and accessories on information search, evaluation of alternatives, and purchase stages. Significant differences were also found in the usage levels of multi-channels (on+off-line) on information search and evaluation of alternatives stages. The usage levels of the multi-channels for clothes were the highest followed by those of accessories and cosmetics in order.

공동구의 정량적 경제성 평가를 위한 항목별 중요도 분석 (Analysis of importance by category for quantitative economic evaluation of multi-utility tunnel)

  • 기존 공동구에 관한 VE/LCC 연구는 정량적 방법을 통하여 편익(7개 항목), 비용(5개 항목)에 대하여 서울시의 주요 10개노선을 대상으로 비용-편익 분석을 통한 공동구의 경제적 타당성을 검토하였다. 기존 공동구에 관한 VE/LCC 연구는 정량적 방법을 통하여 편익(7개 항목), 비용(5개 항목)에 대하여 분석을 수행하였다. 이에 본 논문에서는 3개의 항목(교통사고감소, 차량소음저감, 사회 경제 손실)을 추가하여 서울시 주간선도로 61개 구간에 대하여 경제성 평가를 분석 하였다. 교통사고감소 항목은 사업시행으로 절감할 수 있는 교통사고 비용을 개량화한 것이며, 차량소음저감 항목은 사업시행으로 발생하는 소음 변화량을 나타낸 지표이다. 마지막으로 사회 경제손실 항목은 공동구의 시공으로 인하여 지역경제에 미치는 영향을 금액으로 나타낸 것이다. 편익은 10개의 항목, 비용은 8개의 항목들 중 우선 추가 항목들의 금액을 비교 분석 하였으며, 개착식 및 터널식 공동구에서 추가된 항목들과 전체 항목들이 각 분석에 미치는 영향 정도를 분석하였다. 분석의 결과로 공동구 경제성 평가시 기초 및 상세 모델에 적용되는 항목들을 분석하여 공동구 설계시 보다 효율적인 경제성 평가가 가능하도록 하였다. 본 연구에서 추가로 제시된 항목들을 포함한 기초 및 상세 모델의 경제성 평가는 공동구 설계시 자주 활용될 것으로 판단된다.

원자력설비용 수위측정기 선정시 언어 모호집합론적 접근법 사용 (On the Use of the Linguistic Fuzzy Approaches in the Selection of Liquid Levelmeters for Nuclear Energy Facilities)

  • A selection methodology of liquid levelmeters, especially, level sensors in non-nuclear category, to be installed in nuclear energy facilities is developed using linguistic fuzzy approaches such as fully-linguistic and semi-linguistic methods. Depending on defuzzification techniques, the linguistic fuzzy methodology leads to either linguistic (exactly, fully-linguistic) or cardinal (i.e., semi-linguistic) evaluation. For the linguistic method, for each alternative, fuzzy preference index is converted to linguistic utility value by means of a similarity measure determining the degree of similarity between fuzzy index and linguistic ratings. For the cardinal method, the index is translated to cardinal overall utility value. According to these values, alternatives of interest are linguistically or numerically evaluated and a suitable alternative can be selected. Under given selection criteria, the suitable selections out of some liquid levelmeters for nuclear facilities are dealt with using the linguistic fuzzy methodology proposed. Then, linguistic fuzzy evaluation results are compared with qualitative result available in the literature. It is found that as to a suitable option the linguistic fuzzy selection is in agreement with the qualitative selection. Additionally, the comparative study shows that the fully-linguistic method using adequate scale system facilitates linguistic interpretation regarding evaluation results.

한국에서 적용가능한 보전지역 평가기준에 대한 고찰 (Review for Evaluation Criteria for the Establishment of Conservation Areas in Korea)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 우리 나라의 실정에 맞는 보전지역의 평가기준을 마련하여 적용하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 현재가지 발표되는 평가기준에 관한 논문과 보고서 등을 바탕으로 평가기준을 마련하고, 우리 나라 상태에서 적용가능한 평가기준을 도출하였다. 도출된 평가기준 중에서 현재 기초자료의 부족으로 보편적 자료로 활용할 수 없는 기준은 제외하고 우리 나라 실정에 맞으며. 기초자료의 수집이 가능한 요소만을 평가기준으로 선정하였다. 보전지역에 대한 평가기준을 설정하기 위하여 국내외 선행연구와 기존문헌을 조사하여 보전가치에 대한 평가항목을 분석한 결과, 총 27개의 항목이 평가기준으로 사용되었으며, 희귀성 21회, 유용성 및 다양성 15회, 면적, 자연성 및 인간의 간섭이 각각 73회, 대표성 72회, 허약성 70회로 나타났다 국내외 평가기준 중에서 정량적으로 다루어 진 평가기준은 총 13개였으며 이 중 희귀성 9회. 인간의 간섭 8회, 면적 5회의 빈도를 보였다. 총 27개의 평가기준 중 우리 나라의 상황에 맞는 평가기준을 선정한 결과. 희귀성, 분류학적 특이성, 인간의 간섭 등 3가지이며 그 외에 유용성 등과 같은 기준은 인접분야에 대한 연구와 조사가 이루어지면 유용하게 사용될 기준이다.
