In a case of computer simulation used for the verification of pneumatic system performance one of the main problems is that various parameters can be used to describe flow characteristics of the system components. The Standard ISO 6358 offers two parameters: the sonic conductance C and the critical static pressure ratio b, but the parameters can not be directly utilised in an analysis of a pneumatic system. In the standard analysis there is applied the airflow coefficient ${\mu}$, but it is not presented in the vendors' catalogues. In the paper the numerical algorithm for calculation of the airflow coefficient ${\mu}$. (which is required for computer simulation) as a function of sonic conductance C and a critical pressure ratio b (recommended by the standard) is presented. Additionally, because of the iterative character of the described algorithm, an artificial neural network approach to solve the problem is proposed.

Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) has been trying for utilizing the polar station in Svalbard, Norway to receive the KOMPSAT-2 images, which are distributed and applied directly for Europe Space Agency (ESA) users. Now, KARI is operating the SpaceCapture-2 system that provides the KOMPSAT-2 catalogue service via the internet, whereas ESA is operating the EOLI-SA tool that provides access to the online ESA catalogues of Earth Observation (EO) products. This paper describes external interface based on service-oriented architecture in order to provide the KOMPSAT-2 catalogue service from the SpaceCapture-2 system to the EOLI-SA tool. As the KOMPSAT-2 catalogue service is available in the EOLI-SA tool through an implementation of external interface, the extend use of KOMPSAT-2 imageries is expected.

The Yi-Dynasty published the calendars printed by means of woodblock and typeprinting for the purpose of informing its people of four seasonal changes and appropriate time for farming. The printing types were used to publish the calendars in those days varied depending upon the kinds of the calendars, but all those types are known as only one name: Kwansanggam Type. This is because there have been little studies on the different kinds of printing types. As a result, there are many cases where the libraries make erroneous notes in their catalogues. This study points up the fact that four different kinds of Kwansanggam Type were used depending upon the nature of the calendars. For classification purpose, I call these types Daetongryokja, Naeyongsamsoja, Myongsiryokja, and Chiljongryokja. What has not been revealed in this study can be further explained as the more calendars of those days are found out.

We investigate the pair fractions of dark matter halos and galaxies in cosmological simulations. The cosmological simulations are performed by a tree-particle-mesh code GOTPM (Grid-of-Oct-Tree-Particle-Mesh) and the dark matter halos are identified by a halo finding algorithm PSB (Physically Self-Bound). The 'galaxy' pair fractions are obtained from galaxy catalogues of L-Galaxies semi-analytical galaxy formation runs in the Millennium database. We present and compare the pair fractions of the dark matter halos and galaxies as functions of redshifts, halo masses and ambient environments.

In this study, we investigate the changes in the equatorial lodge degrees and polar distance degrees of determinative stars in the ancient Chinese archives. Confirmed is the fact that the coordinate values of those determinative stars defined in B.C. 104 had been used until the 8th century but were modified by the observations of Li Chunfeng (李淳風) in the early 7th century and Yixing (一行) in 723 A.D. The results of this study are compared with those in History of Chinese Astronomical Observations of Pan Nai. By applying the results of comtemporary astrodynamical calculations, their reliability is checked, and the corrected catalogues of Shi Shi (石氏) and Yixing are provided. The positional accuracy of those observations is estimated to be one degree.

This research is to provide basic information for future development of an effective way for design office furniture. The purpose of this study is to provide foundation data that enable to design various office furniture. This article investigates what are the basic elements of office furniture and how various type of office furniture elements represent in many catalogues, articles. It was to understand what parts of office furniture elements influence when design the office furniture. Based on the research, conclusion was made as following: Through the 11 brands, it is found that rectangular-closed desk and tall closest is dominant in domestic brand whereas both open and closed desks are used in overseas brand and the closet design is changed based on the desk type.

K-SEC(Korean-Spoken English Corpus) is a kind of speech database that is being under construction by the authors of this paper. This article discusses the needs of the K-SEC from various academic disciplines and industrial circles, and it introduces the characteristics of the K-SEC design, its catalogues and contents of the recorded database, exemplifying what are being considered from both Korean and English languages' phonetics and phonologies. The K-SEC can be marked as a beginning of a parallel speech corpus, and it is suggested that a similar corpus should be enlarged for the future advancements of the experimental phonetics and the speech information technology.

Recent work by Ravanbakhsh et al. (2017), Mathuriya et al. (2018) showed that convolutional neural networks (CNN) can be trained to predict cosmological parameters from the visual shape of the large scale structure, i.e. the filaments, clusters and voids of the cosmic density field. These preliminary works used the dark matter density field at redshift zero. We build upon these works by considering realistic mock galaxy catalogues that mimic true observations. We construct light-cones that span the redshift range appropriate for current and near future cosmological surveys such as LSST, EUCLID, WFIRST etc. In summary, we propose a novel multi-image input CNN to track the evolution in the morphology of large scale structures over cosmic time to constrain cosmology and the expansion history of the Universe.

The 『Hun-Gai-Tong-Xian-Tushuo 渾蓋通憲圖說』, which was an important astronomical book in East-Asia, was published by Li Zhi-zao (李之藻, 1565-1631) in 1607. This book was including the data of stars. We analyzed the data of stars recorded in 『Hun-Gai-Tong-Xian-Tushuo 渾蓋通憲圖說』. Based on historical background, we assumed that the data of stars recorded in 『Hun-Gai-Tong-Xian-Tushuo 渾蓋通憲圖說』 likely referenced knowledge from the ancient Arab/Islam culture. In conclusion, we assume a correlation with the star catalogue included in 『Almagest』 by Ptolemaios. Therefore, we think that this star's data will become important data for comparison with the star catalogues published in Arabic/Islam.

We investigate astronomical materials listed in the book of Bibliographie Coreenne written by Maurice Courant. He classified ancient Korean books into nine Divisions (部) and thirty six Classes (類), and published them as three volumes (ranging from 1894 to 1896) and one supplement (in 1901). In total, 3,821 books including astronomical ones are listed together with information on physical size, possessional place, bibliographical note, and so forth. Although this book is an essential one in the field of Korea bibliography and contains many astronomical materials such as Cheon-Mun-Ryu-Cho 天文類抄, Si-Heon-Seo 時憲書, and Cheon-Sang-Yeol-Cha-Bun-Ya-Ji-Do 天象列次分野之圖, it has not been well known to the public nor to astronomical society. Of 3,821 catalogues, we found that about 50 Items (種) are related to astronomy or astrology, and verified that most of them are located in the Kyujanggak Royal Library 奎章閣. We also found an unknown astronomical chart, Hon-Cheon-Chong-Seong-Yeol-Cha-Bun-Ya-Ji-Do 渾天總星列次分野之圖. Because those astronomical materials are not well known to international astronomical community and there have been few studies on the materials in Korea, we here introduce and review them, particularly with the astronomical viewpoint.
