일상적 여가의 심리적 기능성에 대하여: 진지한 여가와의 비교를 중심으로 (The Study for the Psychological Functioning of Casual Leisure: Compared with Serious Leisure)

  • 지난 10여년간 진지한 여가에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되었던 데 반해 일상적 여가에 대한 여가학적 관심은 상대적으로 부족하였다. 그리고 일상적 여가에 비해 진지한 여가를 더욱 바람직하고, 건강한 여가생활로 간주하는 경향이 있어 왔다. 본 연구는 진지한 여가와의 비교를 통해 일상적 여가의 심리적 기능성을 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대학생 291명의 자료가 분석되었으며, 주요 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, '진지한 여가형'과 '일상적 여가형' 집단 간에 여가이득과 여가만족도에 차이가 있는지 살펴본 결과, '진지한 여가형'이 '일상적 여가형'에 비해 여가를 통해 신체건강과 대인관계, 자기조절감이 통계적으로 유의하게 향상되는 경험을 하는 것으로 드러났다. 그리고 여가만족도도 '진지한 여가형'이 '일상적 여가형'에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 높게 나타나났다. 그러나 '진지한 여가형'과 '일상적 여가형' 집단 간에 자아 및 삶 기능성 변수(긍정적·부정적 자아존중감, 행복, 삶의 질)에 차이가 있는지 살펴본 결과, 두 집단 모두 높은 수준의 긍정적 자아존중감과 행복, 삶의 질을 보고하고 있으며, 집단간 차이는 유의하지 않은 것으로 드러났다. 이는 일상적 여가를 즐기는 것으로도 사람들은 자신에 대한 긍정적 자존감을 유지하면서 삶에 대한 행복과 즐거움을 느낄 수 있음을 시사한다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 무엇이 여가다운 여가인가를 되짚어 보고, 속도경쟁 사회에서 우리에게 진정으로 필요한 여가는 무엇인가에 대한 성찰의 기회를 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 주요 여가개념을 분석하여 이 개념 안에 함축된 우리 사회의 가치판단을 읽어내고, 여가 본연의 가치를 회복하기 위해 필요한 논의를 전개하였다. 결론은 다음과 같다: 첫째, 자기계발과 사회통합 등 사회 순기능적 효과를 가져 오는 진지한 여가의 상대적 우월성을 강조하다보니 일상적 여가가 지닌 본연의 가치는 하향 평가되는 오류를 범하였다. 일상적 여가는 그 자체를 수행함으로써 삶의 균형을 이루려는 인간 본연의 욕구를 충족시켜줄 뿐 아니라 신체적, 심리적으로도 긍정적인 효과를 동반한다는 점을 간과하지 말아야 한다. 둘째, 진지한 일상적 여가의 이분법적 구조의 오류를 극복하기 위해 여가행위의 재연방식으로 정의한 빠른 느린 여가 개념에 대한 이론적 검토가 좀 더 세밀히 이루어져야 할 것이다. 셋째, 우리가 구태의연하고 생산적이지 못하다고 배척해온 삶의 방식도 그 자체를 구현함으로써 충분히 의미가 있다는 의식의 전환이 필요하다.

A Study of the Historical Change of American Sportswear - Focusing on Women's Sportswear -

  • The purpose of this study is to explicate the contemporary concept of the term 'sportswear' by studying the history of sportswear tradition in America where sportswear was first established and developed. American sportswear originated from some functional clothes made for specific sports during the 19th century. Early in 20th century, there occurred many significant events in America while Americans were undergoing two successive world wars. First of all, due to the wars, women's role in labor force became so significant that their social status was enhanced remarkably. With economy growing every decade, the amount of leisure time for American people substantially increased and, therefore they could develop their leisure activity culture. All these changes made Americans demand the need for comfortable and functional clothes suitable for their changed way of life. In response to this demand, the sportswear tradition became mature due to the contribution by many creative All-American designers, most of whom have made their active contributions since 1970s. Now the sportswear, which used to be designed for specific sports, developed into casual wear in general with its extended definition. The contemporary concept of sportswear is no longer limited to those clothes for specific sports. Sportswear has now become more like a casual activity wear which all classes of people can enjoy in their life. Since the concept and scope of sportswear is extended to a great degree today, we need a new professional term to correctly express the extended nature of these contemporary clothes.

가족체계와 여가유형에 따른 청소년의 가족여가 만족도: 대전지역 중학생을 중심으로 (A Study on the Satisfaction of Adolescent's Family Leisure for Family Intra-System and Leisure's Type: Middle School Students in DaeJeon)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze a casual relationship of satisfaction of Adolescent's family leisure in middle school students and related variables(parent's income, 5 days work per week, family intra-system, and leisure's type). Subjects were 200 middle school students. Instrumentation were questionnaires from the satisfaction of family leisure scale, family intra-system scale, and leisure's type scale. Data analysis was by mean, percentile, t-test, oneway-ANOVA, Pearson correlation, multiple regression, and stepwise multiple regression. The major findings of this study were as follow; First there was a significant different between family's income and leisure's type. Second, there was a significant different between family's income and family intra-system. Third, there was a positive related to family intra-system, leisure's type, and satisfaction of family leisure. Fourth, adaptability in family intra-system was the most predicting variable in satisfaction of family leisure.

A Study on the Design Development of Lady′s Down Wear

  • The rapid development of science technology during the 20th century has greatly lowered the hours for labour, thus giving members of society extra time for leisure. With the increasement of leisure activities, sports casual wear has become one of the foremost leading items in the fashion industry, and among such sports casual, down wear has become the F/W season's most popular item. Because it generates high profits, many recognize it as a very important factor in lady's wear. Since the 1990's, down wear was widely applied to various sections of lady's, men's, and children's wear, and it has ceased to be limited to sports casual only. The purpose of this study was to fully understand the characteristics of down, and to develop crossover garments design desired not only in the F/W season but also the S/S season. It has been taken into consideration that many restrictions in sewing technique and material selection in manufacturing down as a fashion product exist when choosing a means of manufacture. That was why this study focused on the history and characteristics of down while analysing the works of domestic and foreign designers to concretely applicate them in fashion products. This study has divided the resulting down wear products according to consumer preference: vest, jacket, coat, one-piece, and skirt to applicate design manufacture of lady's wear in general, while designing and making artistically expressed down wear. There were 48 works developed as a result of this study, of which 41 were ready-to-wear, and the remaining 7 works were creative art wear.

대전지역 중학생이 지각한 가족의 건강성 및 가족여가 태도에 따른 청소년의 가족여가 만족도 (The Satisfaction of Adolescent's Family Leisure on the Healthy Family and Family leisure Attitude for Middle School Students in DaeJeon)

  • 본 연구는 대전광역시 2곳의 중학교에 다니는 1학년과 2학년의 200명을 대상으로 하였고, 분석에 사용된 통계방법은 SPSS 통계프로그램으로 빈도, 백분율, t검증, 일원변량분석, 상관계수, 중다회귀분석, 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 가족의 건강성과 가족여가 태도가 청소년들의 가족여가만족도에 미치는 영향요인을 분석한 결과 첫째, 성별에 따른 가족여가 만족도는 여학생이 남학생보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 가정의 소득수준이 높을 때, 가족여가 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 가족여가 태도와 가족여가 만족도는 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 가족의 건강성과 가족여가 만족도는 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 가족의 여가 만족도를 가장 잘 설명하는 변인은 가족의 여가태도 중 감정적 태도로 나타났다. 그러므로 가족여가 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 가족구성원들이 가족여가의 필요성과 효과를 인식하고 실천하는 것이 가장 중요하다고 본다.

일상복 겸용의 애슬레저 바이크 웨어 디자인 개발 연구 (Design development of athleisure bike wear to be a casual daily wear)

  • Sportswear transforms itself into a new fashion item to satisfy desires for beauty in addition to having functionality and movability for sports activities. Sportswear is not in fashion just temporarily but comes in various forms along with sociocultural phenomenon that put emphasis on well-being and leisure. This research aims to study the needs of the bikers who ride bicycles or cycles has become a popular outdoor activity, and give suggestions for high functional sports design that can satisfy the needs of the highly demanding taste of athletes. To understand the design development direction and design preference, practical consumer needs were derived through a survey analysis on bike wear purchasing satisfaction and actual wearing state by bike riders. For consumer needs analysis, focus group interview, in-depth interview and questionnaire method were used. Based on analysis of those researches, athleisure bike wears appropriate for urban sports activities were categorized into sports, life, fitness and leisure 4 styles for athleisure bike wear design development. It is believed that this study will contribute to in the category expansion of sports wear market and satisfy the consumer demands for functional and specialized casual bike wears as well as fashion factors optimized to life style of modern people.

앤드로지너스 이미지를 응용한 남성 셔츠 디자인 (Men's Shirts Design Applying the Androgynous Image)

  • This study aims to express the androgynous image via shirts as a fashion item. Shirts are widely worn as a fashion item regardless of sex and age, with growing importance as a casual outer, with the increase in leisure activities driven by the recent implementation of the 5-Day Work Week system in Korea. As for the theoretical background, the study was reviewed previous studies of books, thesis, a series of publication, and the Internet sites on this topic. Through a careful analysis of these previous studies, it designed and made shirts that inspired by androgynous image. Conclusions of this study are as follows: First, the study found that meanings of symbolism in clothing continue to change, not fixed at all, depending on historic and cultural environments, and so does symbolism for femininity and masculinity of clothing. Second, shirts are widely worn as a fashion item regardless of sex and age, with growing importance as a casual outer, with the increase in leisure activities driven by the recent implementation of the 5-Day Work Week system in Korea. Third, two patters were used for the work in this study in order to emphasize its form, along with mono color white and stripe patterns. For materials, cotton and blend as a most basic material for a shirt were used with unique variations in the form. Fourth, decorative details or trimming such as ribbon tying methods, shirring, attaching in layers, and irregular pleading widely used for women's wear were applied, and silhouettes with strong drape feelings were used to add feminine feature to men' shirts, in an effort to propose a fashion design of the androgynous look. Fifth, clothes proposed in this study are different from feminine clothing item blouse, because they are androgynous shirts mixing masculinity and femininity. Stiff pads were used in collars and cuffs characteristics of men's traditional shirts to maintain masculinity of a shirt, and design was developed by adding feminine decorative elements, which is different from women's blouse.

현대 남성 패션 이미지의 유형 및 특성 (The Type and Characteristics of the Modern Men's Fashion Images)

  • Modern male has displayed an increased desire to express their social influence and image, and the male fashion market has had to provide various styles and images to fill these needs. The current domestic menswear market, however, is unable to satisfy the needs of male consumers who have a need for diversity in a rapidly changing society; more segmented fashion images and styles are needed. The purposes of this study are to classify fashion images and to establish character of the types. This study was done by performing a literature review and a survey. This study proposed 10 categories of fashion style images. Men's fashion style is classified into the classic image, sophisticated image, urban casual image, chic modern image, mods modern image, basic casual image, ethnic image, avant-garde image, active & outdoor image, and street-kitsch image. In the case of the classic images, common in formal setting, men's formal wear is the main focus with the classic suit. The sophisticated image is that of a colorful formal wear seasoned with elegance. Urban casual image is contemporary image, and therefore is meant for city life wear. Chic and modern image conveys an urban image by seeking a simple and chic feel. Mods modern image is retro yet dandy, giving off a sense of youthfulness compared to the other classic images. Ethnic image expresses the exotic quality of folklore as the main representatives of the character casual wear. Avant garde image portrays strong character casual wear with oversized silhouettes or exaggerated details. Active & Outdoor image is leisure life wear conveying active, functional images. Street Kitsch image is men's street casual wear with graphic patterns such as pop art and graffiti. This study's significance lies in its presentation of fashion style data, which can be utilized in the design and marketing of fashion targeted to males.

앙리 마티스 회화 이미지를 응용한 캐쥬얼 룩 디자인 연구 (A Study on Design for Casual Look Applying Painting Images of Henri Matisse)

  • People have more expectations for arts and design and accordingly, various artworks were combined with fashion to meet the consumer needs. As people live a decent life, the development of leisure activities and industry has a much effect on apparel. With this phenomenon, a free and active casual look is making progress centering around the practical apparel, pursuing diversified efficiency irrespective of a season and considering sensibility not formality. In this study, paintings of Henri Matisse were analyzed in every respect and were applied in apparel design with diverse color arrangement and a motif originating in the phenomenon of modern fashion design which leads to the integration of arts and design. Painting image and color of Henri Matisse were used. Sportive casual and cultural casual was used in design as well. Originality of its color in the paintings which were used an a motif is coming from Gauguin and Gogh. Henri had influenced to the next generation with pursuit of violent color. The following conclusions were drawn from this study. First, the color of Henri Matisse's paintings has a strong contrast effect. It combines notable violent color with a simple yet decorative motif. Therefore color from Matisse's paintings suit for apparel of marked individuality with its free color arrangement. Second, free and active image in Henri Matisse's paintings is easy to express efficiency and popularity. It accords with the feature of casual wear. Third, through adding a flowing curved line in Henri Matisse's paintings to materials and applying various colors putting into a curved line image to a rib section, a decorative effect which goes with the whole shape is obtained. This study presents possibility of emergence of unique design using free color arrangement and motif from the image of paintings and aims development of modern fashion design in accordance with modern fashion giving importance to the difference and sensibility by integration of modern garments and artworks.
