Removal of ammonia using the porous ceramic biofilter inoculated with earthworm casts was characterized. By assuming a plug air flow in the biofilter and applying the Michaelis-Menten equation, the maximum removal rate of $NH_3$ was $280.7g-N{\cdot}m^{-3}{\cdot}h^{-1}$($18.0g-N{\cdot}kg^{-1}{\cdot}d^{-1}$) at $30^{\circ}C$. $NH_3$ removal rate was increased as temperature increases from $15^{\circ}C$ to $35^{\circ}C$. The maximum removal rate was $285.8g-N{\cdot}m^{-3}{\cdot}h^{-1}$($18.8g-N{\cdot}kg^{-1}{\cdot}d^{-1}$) at $35^{\circ}C$. At $15^{\circ}C$, the $NH_3$ removal rate was $122.8g-N{\cdot}m^{-3}{\cdot}h^{-1}$($8.1g-N{\cdot}kg^{-1}{\cdot}d^{-1}$). When 210 ppm $NH_3$ was supplied to the biofilter at space velocity of $220h^{-1}$, the removal efficiency of $NH_3$ at 15, 25, 30 and $35^{\circ}C$ was 80, 90, 95, and 96%, respectively. The removal rate of the ceramic biofilter was 3 to 15 times higher than other biofilters comparing the removal efficiency of $NH_3$ per unit volume of carrier. This result indicates that earthworm casts and porous ceramics are very good inoculum source and carrier, respectively, for the $NH_3$-degrading biofilter.
KOorea Multi-purpose SATellite(KOMPSAT)-5 will be launched at 550km altitude in 2010. Accurate satellite position(20 cm) and velocity(0.03 cm/s) are required to treat highly precise Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) image processing. Ionosphere delay was eliminated using dual frequency GPS data and double differenced GPS measurement removed common clock errors of both GPS satellites and receiver. SAC-C carrier phase data with 0.1 Hz sampling rate was used to achieve precise orbit determination(POD) with ETRI GNSS Precise Orbit Determination(EGPOD) software, which was developed by ETRI. Dynamic model approach was used and satellite's position, velocity, and the coefficients of solar radiation pressure and drag were adjusted once per arc using Batch Least Square Estimator(BLSE) filter. Empirical accelerations for sinusoidal radial, along-track, and cross track terms were also estimated once per revolution for unmodeled dynamics. Additionally piece-wise constant acceleration for cross-track direction was estimated once per arc. The performance of POD was validated by comparing with JPL's Precise Orbit Ephemeris(POE).

We have studied the numerical analysis about the fragment ejection velocity and spray angle when the High Explosive warhead detonated at proximity distance at an aircraft. To study the physical quantities about the warhead components is very important to assessment the vulnerability of aircraft. Generally, the physical quantities about the components of a warhead such as the mass, length, diameter and charge to mass ratio are unknown. Therefore, it is required to estimate the physical quantities by using physical continuities of similar threats. The empirical formulas to understand the dependence among charge to mass ratio, length and diameter ratio were driven by using the physical parameters of similar threatening such as terrier, sparrow. As a result, we confirmed that the dead mass ratio was closed to 20% of warhead mass since the metal case of the proximity threat acts as a simple carrier. This implies that the effective length and diameter of High Explosive Compound is smaller than the length and diameter of warhead, and become a key to understand the large ejection gradient velocity and small spray angle of fragments within 6 degree.

A $Pt/Al_xGa_{l-x}N$ Schottky type Ultra-violet photodetector was modeled and simulated using the commercial SILVACO software program. In the carrier transport, we applied field model and other analytic model to determine the electron saturation velocity and low field mobility for GaN and $Al_xGa_{l-x}N$. A C-Interpreter function was defined to described the mole-fraction for the ternary compound semiconductor such as $Al_xGa_{l-x}N$. As comparing the simulated and experimental results, we found that the simulated result for type-1 has $15.9 nA/cm^2$ of leakage current at 5V. We confirmed a good agreement of photo-current in the UV Photo-detector, while applying the absorption coefficient and reflective index of active $Al_xGa_{l-x}N$ and other layers. There had been an intensive search for the proper refractive indices of the layers.

A Dual metal gate stack cylindrical/ surrounded gate MOSFET (DMGSA CGT/SGT MOSFET) has been proposed and an analytical model has been developed to examine the impact of this structure in suppressing short channel effects and in enhancing the device performance. It is demonstrated that incorporation of gate stack along with dual metal gate architecture results in improvement in short channel immunity. It is also examined that for DMGSA CGT/SGT the minimum surface potential in the channel reduces, resulting increase in electron velocity and thereby improving the carrier transport efficiency. Furthermore, the device has been analyzed at different bias point for both single material gate stack architecture (SMGSA) and dual material gate stack architecture (DMGSA) and found that DMGSA has superior characteristics as compared to SMGSA devices. The analytical results obtained from the proposed model agree well with the simulated results obtained from 3D ATLAS Device simulator.

In regulation of IGC code 12.1 mechanical ventilation should be arranged to ensure sufficient air movement through the space to avoid the accumulation of flammable or toxic vapours and ensure a safe working environment, but in no case should the ventilation system have a capacity of less than 30 changes of air per hour baed upon the total volume of the space. In this study, a scaled mode chamber was constructed to investigate the ventilation characteristics and stagnation area in the hood room of LNG carrier and pump room in tanker. An experimental study was performed on the model by using visualization equipment with a laser apparatus and an image intensifier CCD camera. Twelve different kinds of measuring areas were selected as the experimental condition. Instant simultaneous velocity vectors in the whole fields were measured by a 2-D PIV system A three-dimensional numerical simulation was also carried out for three different Reynolds numbers. Then the CFD predictions were discussed with the experimental results. The results show the spiral L-shape flow that moves from the opening on the left wall diagonally to the upper right part dominates the ventilation structure. The stationary area of hood room in the velcoity distributions was located in the upper left stern part.

We performed angle resolved photoelectron spectroscopy (ARPES) studies on Ru doped $BaFe_2As_2$ with various Ru contents. Ru, which is doped into a parent compound $BaFe_2As_2$ and substitute Fe, does not donate or accept electrons. However, it induces superconductivity. From ARPES data along the high symmetry cuts and Fermi surface maps, we investigate the electron correlation and carrier density at the Fermi level. We observe that the Fermi velocity increases with Ru doping, suggesting reduction in electron correlation. In addition, we address issues on local vs. itinerant pictures for the magnetism in $BaFe_2As_2$.

In this paper, we present a carrier recovery circuit using the polarity-decision algorithm that recovers a phase and a frequency error simultaneously. The proposed algorithm catches a frequency error based on a differential of an angular velocity of the signal constellations. Using the differential of a phase error may compensate the frequency error. The symbol prediction method in the proposed algorithm accumulates the symbols, which makes easy to calculate a phase differential. The hardware size of the algerian is small since we use Q data or I only to get phase information. As a result, the algerian shows a pull-in range of normalized frequency error 0.5 under AWGN 15dB.

Abstract Scaffold used as a carrier of the cell has been actively conducted using plenty of technology in tissue engineering. ${\beta}$-tricalcium phosphate (${\beta}$-TCP) material has shown good biocompatibility and osteoconductive ability when it was implanted as a bone graft substitute in osseous defect in human and animal studies for bone regeneration. In this study, we fabricated the blended polycaprolactone (PCL) and ${\beta}$-TCP scaffold by the polymer deposition system (PDS). The PCL/${\beta}$-TCP scaffold was fabricated at a temperature of $110^{\circ}C$, pressure of 650 kPa, and scan velocity of 100 mm/sec. The Overall geometry and size of the scaffold were fixed circle type with a diameter of 10 mm and a height of 4 mm. PCL/${\beta}$-TCP scaffold was observed by scanning electron microscopy. Cell attachment and proliferation of the scaffold containing 30 wt% ${\beta}$-TCP was superior to those containing 10 wt% and 20 wt% ${\beta}$-TCP.
