Purpose. This study was purposed to seek for a way to enhance the self-efficacy of students in dental hygiene department at deciding their careers by analyzing the relationship between the self-efficacy and the major satisfaction. Methods. The investigator conducted a survey targeting 253 students attending on dental hygiene departments in two 3-year-graduate colleges and 1 university located in Busan from May 1st to May 30th, 2013. The used research instruments were the major satisfaction questionnaire and the Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale Short Form(CDMSES-SF). The survey was conducted in self-administered questionnaire. The data was analyzed with SPSS (ver 12.0) and also conducted t-test, ANOVA and multi-regression analysis. Results. It was found that self-efficacy level of students in dental hygiene department was $3.22{\pm}0.38$ point, and their major satisfaction level was $3.27{\pm}0.47$ point. The factors enhancing the self-efficacy of students in dental hygiene department at deciding their careers were identified as the curriculum satisfaction, the relationship satisfaction, and the recognition satisfaction. It was identified that more these elements were increased, the higher the self-efficacy level was enhanced. Conclusions. In order to enhance the self-efficacy of students in dental hygiene department at deciding their careers, it is considered that the curriculum should be organized carefully under reasonable plan, and there should be more active communication between professors and students as well as students each other. Besides there needs some educational programs to inspire the pride and sense of duty for the dental hygiene department.
Military personnel work in high stress situations and carry great responsibilites, leaving them little time to plan effectively for their retirement; typically, they tend to assume that their employer (the government) will do that planning for them. Focussing intensely on their jobs, retirement often finds them ill-prepared, and this in spite of the recent increase in discussion in society at large about retirement and how to deal with it. Government therefore needs to be more proactive in assisting these occupational groups in their exit from the workforce, especially because, as the baby-boomers age, the rate of retirements will increase dramatically. As well, whereas in the past, an average retirement extended for roughly a decade, today, a retirement could last as long as twenty-five to thirty years, with attendant cost pressures on retirement funds. This in turn will increase the burden on the rising generation, who will have to pay for those pensions. But while government has a role to play, retirees also have to be more active in planning for their retirement, and in particular, planning for second careers, rather than simple retirement. Government can assist here by developing programs to help military personel find a second career, thus reducing their reliance on pension funds, and reducing financial pressures too. As well, such planning would emphasize and enhance self-reliance, which can only be to the good of the larger society.
Background: The present study aimed to provide basic data to establish a foundation for efficient operation of the organization by identifying the effects of factors related to moral sensitivity and psychological well-being on job engagement of clinical dental hygienists. Methods: This cross-sectional survey consisted of self-administration questionnaires. After the approval by the Institutional Review Board, a survey was conducted from September 2019 to November 2019, targeting dental hygienists with clinical experience of 1 year or more. A total of 189 questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 for Windows. The data were analyzed using average standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results: According to job-related characteristics, higher job engagement was associated with more amount of clinical experience, less turnover intention, higher positions, and occasional job fatigue. Job engagement was improved by increasing moral sensitivity and psychological well-being of clinical dental hygienists. The factors affecting job engagement revealed that along with clinical career, the sub-areas of job engagement, namely turnover intention, moral sensitivity, and psychological well-being had statistically significant influence on job engagement and the explanatory power of the model was approximately 44.8%. Conclusion: Joy of working as a clinical dental hygienist, clinical career, turnover intention, moral sensitivity, and psychological well-being were confirmed as influencing factors that affected job engagement of clinical dental hygienists. It is necessary to establish an effective plan to improve job engagement by increasing moral sensitivity and psychological well-being of clinical dental hygienists.
The purpose of this research was to develop advertising curriculum demanded according to the change of company recruitment methods in the 4th Industrial Revolution. Focus group interview was conducted targeting advertising professionals in full-sized and digital advertising agencies. The results showed that the curriculum of advertising majors in Korean universities maintains the curriculum of the traditional media era, and the revision of the innovative curriculum suitable for the advertising environment in the 4th Industrial Revolution era was insufficient. In addition, there was a lack of career education suitable for the new hiring method of the company. On the basis of these findings, this study proposed an innovation plan for the major in advertising education.
The aim of this qualitative study was to explore and understand the planning experiences of dreams and vision of the youths living in poorer area, from their own perspectives. The contents of their dreams and vision, and the preparation process to realize them and their realistic expectation for the future were experientially and systematically explored by qualitative methods. The participants were middle school students living in poorer neighborhood, recruited from 24 social work agencies under the umbrella of World Visions Korea. Focused group interviews were carried out in 24 World Visions agencies. The collected data was analyzed according to the content analysis methods. The results showed that the poor youths' dreams and vision were molded by their real experiences and continuously updated or frustrated by personal interaction with surrounding environment. It was also verified that poor youths were experiencing great difficulties in materializing their vision into practical careers due to the scarcity of emotional and financial support. Therefore, we suggest that direct and indirect social support should be provided to boost their interest in dreams and future, and that participation-oriented career guidance programs should be vitalized to help them to overcome their environmental obstacles.

The high school credit system is a system in which students select complete various subjects, depending on their career, and graduate when their accumulated credit reaches the standard. It is expected that the high school credit system, which guarantees the individual's right of choice, will bring an educational effect that can respond to the student's career aptitude. However, it is expected that problems in the aspect of school life, such as the weakening of class belongingness or difficulty of securing a stable base venue within the school building would be accompanied. This research analyzed students' usage condition depending on the living base space environment feature in schools that are implementing moving-selective class in the aspect of activity domain formation and contemplated the venue evaluation. The purpose is to provide the basic data of an architectural plan of a stable living base space within the school building through this. 'Living base center type' and 'living base dispersion type' school buildings among Japanese integral department high schools were used as the target to analyze the usage condition in the aspect of domain formation. As a result, a conclusion was deducted that student's securement of territory consciousness about the base space and venue construction for the community of various studying groups affects life satisfaction.
The purpose of this study was trying to figure out the effective employment guidance plan through employment preparation of graduating senior in department affiliated with physical education and recent situation. This study was compared to 2013 Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey(GOMS). Data were collected from 164 graduating seniors in the department affiliated with physical education from 5 institutions of a 4-year university located in Gyeonggi-do, Seoul, and ChungChong-do by convenience sampling. For the data analysis, a descriptive statistic, frequency analysis, and one-samples t-test were conducted. Graduating seniors participating in school employment programs had a lower rate but the average rate of participation in career & employment classes and vocational test was more than 50%. They were satisfied with university education and career support but employment program and welfare facilities are in need of improvement. Furthermore, graduating seniors have national and private certificates related to major. Finally, they have very low participation rates in youth employment policies of government. Based on the results, the effective job placement guideline for the department affiliated with physical education is needed.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the personality level of industrial-field specialized high schools and Meister high schools. The study objective for this is to analyze the differences per background variable and personality level of students of industrial-field specialized high schools and to analyze the differences per background variable and personality level of students of industrial-field Meister high schools. The study result is as follows. First, students of industrial-field specialized high schools showed personality level above normal in all 10 virtues, but this value fell short of the average for high school students suggested in Hyeon et al(2014). Second, students of industrial-field Meister high schools showed personality level above normal in all 10 virtues, and compared to the average for high school students suggested in Hyeon et al.(2014), categories of consideration and communication, manners, honesty/courage, and justice showed values below average. Third, students of industrial-field specialized high schools and Meister high schools showed differences in personality level according to nurturing style of parents, respect for teachers, stress for academic achievement, and school satisfaction, and additionally, students of Meister high schools showed differences in personality level according to career plans. That is, when the student perceived his/her parents to put higher value on his/her happiness rather than academic achievement, when the student respected the teacher, and when the student was more satisfied with te school life, the student showed higher personality level, and in case of students of Meister high schools, the student with detailed plan for his/her career showed high personality level than the student who has not yet decided on his/her career.
To determine clinical nursing instructors' teaching efficacy, students' clinical practice satisfaction, and confirm between correlation, and develop a plan for operating nursing education efficiently for clinical practice. Clinical practice could create an optimal learning situation. We applied CNITEs and CPS to measure clinical nursing instructor teaching efficacy and clinical practice satisfaction. The differences in teaching efficacy by the general characteristics were measured and analyzed; the higher the level of the participants' education, position, clinical career, and clinical teaching career, the higher their teaching efficacy. The higher the age at clinical practice, the higher the clinical efficacy of clinical practitioners with clinical career and higher education level students were more satisfied with the practice subject and nursing instruction than other categories. Therefore, in order to increase the satisfaction of nursing students' practice in the clinical field, we hope to improve various things that can be used not only teaching efficacy but also in clinical practice satisfaction.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the information searching behavior of consumer by type of medical institution. A questionnaire survey was conducted of 1,507 persons who were selected through a multi-stage stratified area cluster sampling in nationwide level, excluding Jeju-Do. Personal survey was conducted through door-to door survey from 27 July to 10 August 1999. The main results of this research was as following; 1. The proportion of information searching of respondents ranged from 91.5-95.2%. Even though the proportion of user in university hospital was slightly high, there was not significant statistically by type of medical institution. In terms of information source, personal informer was most common information source in all type of medical institution. Public informers were more frequently used in university hospital visitors and professional informer in general and university hospital visitors. 2. Comparing to searching intensity, user informer and professional informer's influences were more powerful, but not statistically significant. In analysis of unit influence for information source, written informer or public informer was more powerful in clinic visitor, professional informer and written informer in university hospital visitor. 3. Information which consumer want to know mostly were about on special potential and career of physician. The clinic visitor wanted to know about institutional location and kindness of medical personnel. The university hospital visitor also wanted to know about facilities and convenience of process. Comparing to institution selection criteria of consumers at 1991, quality related criteria were recognized more importantly in outpatient and dental services. But in case of inpatient services, convenience factor was recognized more importantly. In conclusion, the effort for specific marketing plan by type of medical institution should be needed. And more concern on information searching behavior of consumer will be needed.
