  • Changing the environment around detecting areas may lower the performance of a video-based accident detection system. Region of interest(ROI) and background information changing constantly on account of the car headlights at night and a sudden changes in the weather are the biggest factors to increase the ratio of wrong results. Thus, we proposed and implemented the integrated accident detection system combined the video-based system and the laser-based imaging system. In this paper, we were able to overcome the majority problem of video-based system and it was a meaningful results that it can improve the reliability for the system.

  • In order to reduce traffic accidents, many researchers studied a traffic accident model. The Cause of traffic accidents is usually the mis calculation of traffic signals or bad traffic intersection design. Therefore, to analyse the cause of traffic accidents, it takes effort. This paper, it calculates the optimal safe car speed considering intersection conditions and weather conditions. It will recommend calculation of 1/3 in vehicle speed when there are rainy days and snow days. But the problem is that it will always display the same speed limit when whether conditions change. In order to solve these problems, in this paper, it is proposed the calculation of optimal safety speed algorithm uses weather conditions and road conditions. Computer simulations is prove that it computes the traffic speed limit correctly, which proposed considering intelligent traffic accident prediction algorithms.

  • Now RC cars have become a culture where everyone who wants to feel precise control and rushing instinct regardless of sex, young or old can participate. In addition, RC cars have attracted a lot of people because they can feel the feeling of driving while driving a car in a small, lightweight body. In line with these trends, various development companies are focusing on functional aspects such as driving and speed improvement for each environment and their sophistication. Of course, driving performance alone can bring a tremendous ripple effect, but what you can do with a RC car is only part replacement and motor modification. Therefore, we will develop RC car based on raspberry pie, control by application, add various functions through sensor recognition, and develop RC car that can travel through video information that can be obtained using web cam. As a small RC car, we carry out research that can combine the functions that can be used as a robot that moves at various construction sites and accident sites where people can not enter, and which can attract users' interest.

  • In this study, Impact factors are represented and barrier height of compact car road of safety barrier is suggested through the investigation of applying problems of existed standard of general car road. For this, traffic accidents analysis is performed and based on the analysis, impact vehicle weight, impact Angle, crash velocity, and barrier height are investigated. For the decision of impact angle, analysis is carried out by comparison of RISER and 2-lines expressway accidents data. Through this, higher-impact angle is suggested. Vehicle weight data of sub-compact car, small vehicle, medium and large vehicle, SUV, small truck is surveyed and analyzed. Based on the accident accumulation rate, regression analysis of vehicle weight impact and impact velocity is performed. Also, based on the cumulative rate of vehicle weight on expressways near Seoul, barrier height of compact car road is calculated. It is noted that the results of this study will be contributed to the decision of barrier type.

  • This study analyzes the influence factors on elderly pedestrian accident. Elderly people are easy to be badly injured by car accidents compared to younger people. Therefore, various plans and measures are required to protect elderly pedestrian from accidents. However, pedestrian accidents studies only focused on microscopic factors such as attribute of driver, pedestrian, road design. In order to prevent pedestrian accident and reduce the severity of the accident, not only microscopic factors but macroscopic variables such as urban planning and facility should be considered. In this regard, this study develops an ordered probit model introduced the characteristics of urban facility which were not considered in the previous studies. The result shows that there is higher level of accident severity in such areas as large commercial area, well-developed area with transportation infrastructure service and non-pedestrian safety zone. Thus, various and appropriate countermeasures should be prepared in order that pedestrian accident can be prevented in the areas mentioned above. In addition to the aforementioned variables, it is revealed that other variables including vehicle speed, gender and age of pedestrian, weather condition, type of vehicle, etc. partly affect the severity of pedestrian accident.

  • The domestic used car market continues to grow along with the used car online platform service. The used car online platform service discloses vehicle specifications, accident history, inspection history, and detailed options to service consumers. Most of the preceding studies were predictions of used car prices using vehicle specifications and some options for vehicles. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that there was a nonlinear relationship between used car prices and some specification variables. Accordingly, the researchers tried to solve the nonlinear problem by executing a Machine Learning model. In common, the Regression based Machine Learning model had the advantage of knowing the actual influence and direction of variables, but there was a disadvantage of low Cost Function figures compared to the Decision Tree based Machine Learning model. This study attempted to predict used car prices of six domestic brands by utilizing both vehicle specifications and vehicle options. Through this, we tried to collect the advantages of the two types of Machine Learning models. To this end, we sequentially conducted a regression based Machine Learning model and a decision tree based Machine Learning model. As a result of the analysis, the practical influence and direction of each brand variable, and the best tree based Machine Learning model were selected. The implications of this study are as follows. It will help buyers and sellers who use used car online platform services to predict approximate used car prices. And it is hoped that it will help solve the problem caused by information inequality among users of the used car online platform service.

  • Pump car is an equipment that transports concrete products as needed to the place where they are poured. In order to pour a large amount of concrete in a short period of time, using a pump car is the most efficient in terms of economic efficiency and quality control. However, recently, many casualties have occurred due to boom damage during concrete pouring, so this study suggests that improvements are needed in the equipment manufacturing stage, inspection standards for old equipment, and equipment rental system. The reason is that, as a result of the finite element analysis of the pump car, the significant stress acting at the second stage of the boom and the maximum stress at the top of the boom were found to be 895.39 MPa, and M.S. Since it was evaluated the lowest at 0.04, the need for reinforcement was recognized. And it was confirmed that the 2nd stage boom was the most stressful and vulnerable part of the 1st to 5th stage booms. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the thickness and rigidity of members at the design and manufacturing stage, and to reinforce the steel plates of currently used equipment. In addition, it is urgent to establish a system that makes non-destructive testing mandatory for all general construction machinery and holds inspection agencies responsible for missing boom defects during non-destructive testing and regular inspections.
