Premenstrual syndrome is a common chronic disorder in most women of reproductive age. The main symptoms are depression, anxiety, tension, feeling out of control, and mastalgia. In premenstrual syndrome, the effects of aromatic edible Elsholtzia splendens and Cirsium japonicum were investigated for over 3 months in 30 women participants in their twenties. In the Elsholtzia splendens capsule treated group, scores of depression and anxiety were significantly lower than those in the Cirsium japonicum capsule treated group. Moreover, instability of the premenstrual assessment form was significantly decreased in the Elsholtzia splendens capsule treated group. Our results suggest that Elsholtzia splendens could be an effective plant material in relieving symptoms of premenstrual syndrome.

In November of 1994, The Seoul Metropolitan Government celebrates its sixth centennial anniversary of becoming the capital city of Korea. In celebration of this anniversary, the Government decided to construct a plaza and sought design proposals in March of 1994. The authors collaborated on a design for the Time Capsule Plaza Competition and won fourth place among twenty-six entries. In the authors' design, the traditional oriental concept of time resonates within the site through the shape of a clock, a unique planting style, and an "Ancestral Tomb" which has a time capsule inside. The plaza is meant to be a symbol of the passage of time, the cycles of nature, and the repetitive actions of man. As for the spatial composition of the plaza, in accordance with the traditional Korean way of spatial arrangement, the plaza is divided into three parts: entry, primary, and secondary spaces. In reality, the plaza is created with the primary goal of providing modern outdoor space for people to rest and gather through the creation of pleasant environments and the introduction of traditional Korean garden elements.

At present, colonoscopy is performed by means of quite long and flexible endoscopes and controlled manually. Although the flexibility of the distal tip allows the endoscope to follow the tortuous path of the colon, the insertion of the endoscope requires the endoscopist to exert forces on and to perform rotations of the proximal end; these actions cause discomfort to the patient. Though self-propelling colonoscopic systems has been suggested to overcome these problems, it is difficult to pass through highly curved regions of the intestine. In this paper, we introduce a steering mechanism for a self-propelling coloinlscope, the smart capsule, which has three actuator units. The mechanism is designed not only to move forward and backward but also to pass through the curved regions. We derived the governing equations of this mechanism. Active movements and motion control are developed.

Underwears treated by aroma capsule(UTA) have been known to have many advantages than normal underwears, for example, UTA has antimicrobial and deodorant properties. In this experiment, we examined antimicrobial and deodorant effect of UTA treated by rose and lemon fragrance, Mechanical properties of UTA including surface property, bending property and shear property were also tested. The results are as follows,1. The effects of antibacterial is estimated as 33% and the efficiency of deodouration is about 95 % in UTA. 2. The fragrance of UTA maintained even after 25 times washout. 3. Bending and shear properties were not changed in UTA However it decreased the coefficient of friction of the textures and the smooth surface was detected when the human skin was contacted.

The decrease of summer peak electric load of our country is very important. The government is arranging a lot of support policies and statutes. etc. to decrease of peak electric load. And ice storage system is known as one of the alternatives. The purpose of this study is to collect basic data for operating characteristics to plan the most suitable operation of capsule-type ice storage system. The storaging tank is designed to take charge 40% of total cooling load in building, In operation condition the storage tank took charge 50%. Coefficient Of Performance of daily screw refrigerator is around 4.

Mefenamic acid has been widely used clinically as an anti-inflammatory analgesic. It has poor solubility in water $(41\;{\mu}g/ml)$ and there is the difficulty of dissolution in the mefenamic acid capsules. A study was made to investigate the effect of various surfactants on the dissolution of mefenamic acid capsules. The surfactants used were sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), Pluronic F-68, F-77, and F-127. Mefenamic acid capsule containing surfactant showed significantly improved dissolution characteristics. The dissolution rate was fast in the order of SLS > F-77 > F-68 > F-127 in mefenamic acid capsules containing 0.2 w/w % surfactant. SLS was selected for further study on the bioavailability in rabbits. The area under the plasma concentration-time curve $(AUC_{0-24})$ of mefenamic acid capsule containing SLS was higher than one of mefenamic acid capsule not containing surfactant.

A 21-month-old girl with cri-du-chat syndrome in conjunction with developmental delay underwent brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The MRI showed hypoplasia of the brain stem, a normal cerebellum, thinning of the corpus callosum, and a lack of myelination in both anterior limbs of the internal capsule. She also had neonatal bilateral subependymal cysts. We believe that the symmetrical lack of myelination in both anterior limbs of the internal capsule could be a diagnostic clue of cri-du-chat syndrome.

The bioequivalence of two omeprazole preparations was evaluated following their oral administration to 16 normal volunteers. The test product was 'Ulpro tablet' made by Boryung Pharmaceutical Co. and the reference was 'Losec capsule' made by Yuhan Corp. After one capsule or tablet containing 20 mg omeprazole was administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentration of the drug in plasma was determined with an HPLC method. AUC and $C_{max}$ were determined and analyzed statistically for the evaluation of bioequivalence of the two products. The differences in AUC and $C_max$ between two products were $0.45\%\;and\;2.83\%$, respectively. The powers for AUC and $C_{max}\;were\;89.2\%\;and\;>90\%$, respectively. Confidence intervals were within $20\%$ for AVC and $C_{max}$All of these parameters met the criteria of KFDA for bioequivalence, indicating that 'Ulpro tablet' is bioequivalent to 'Losee capsule.'

The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two Erdosteine capsules, $Erdos^{TM}$(Dae Woong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) and $Ersteine^{TM}$(Dae Won Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). Twenty-four normal male volunteers,23.88 ${\pm}$2.89 year in age and 68.50 ${\pm}$ 7.71 kg in body weight, were divided into two groups and radkomied 2${\times}$2 cross-over study was empolyed. Ater three capsules containing 300 mg of erdosteine per capsule were orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and concentrations of erdostene I in plasma were determined using HPLC. Although concrete is a material widely used in the construction industry, it is very vulnerable to cracking and has a disadvantage in that durability deteriorates when cracks occur. When cracks occur, harmful factors are introduced through the micro-cracks of the structure, reducing durability. Therefore, in this study, as part of a study to alleviate the problems of maintenance and durability deterioration due to cracks in concrete structures, the mechanical properties of self-healing mortar according to the size of the capsule made of cement material were reviewed.
