병진운동용 원통캠기구의 운동해석을 위한 수치해석법 연구 (A Study on Numerical Method for Motion Analysis of Cylindrical Cam with Translate Follower)

  • Cylindrical cam mechanisms are used commonly in many automatic machinery. But the cylindrical cam is very difficult to design and manufacture the shape. The motion analysis of the cylindrical cam can check the accuracy between designed data and manufactured data of the cam shape and can reproduce without the cam design data. The motion analysis of the cylindrical cam consists of displacement analysis, velocity analysis and acceleration analysis. This paper performs the motion analysis of a cylindrical cam with translating follower by using a relative velocity method and a central difference method. The displacement is calculated by using the central difference method and the velocity is calculated by the relative velocity method. The relative velocity method is defined by the relative motion between follower and cam at a center of a follower roller. The central difference method is derived in the 3 dimensional space.

  • Cam mechanisms are used commonly in many automatic machinery. Disk cam mechanisms has 4 different types according to the different types of followers. The motion characteristics of the cam mechanisms depend on the shape of the cam and the type of the follower. This paper performs the motion analysis for a disk cam and follower mechanism using a circular arc method and a coordinate transformation method in order to find a contact point of the cam and follower. The velocity is calculated by using the instant velocity concept. Also, the acceleration is determined on using the central difference method. As the results, this paper presents the original curve and the analyzed curve for the motion analysis of the disk cam for an example.

  • Kinetodynamics of a cam driving slider mechanism consists of kinematic analysis and force analysis. The kinematic analysis is to determine the kinematic characteristics of a cam driving mechanism and a slider mechanism. The force analysis is to determine the joint forces of links, the contact forces of the cam and follower, and the driving torque of a main shaft. This paper proposes a close loop method and a tangent substitution method to formulate the relationships of kinematic chains and to calculate the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the cam driving slider mechanism. Also, and instant velocity center method is proposed to determine the cam shape from the geometric relationships of the cam and the roller follower. For dynamic analysis, the contact force and the driving torque of the cam driving slider mechanism are calculated from the required sliding forces, sliding motion and weight of the slider.

  • Generally Cam-Follower systems consist of two elements: Cam is for rotating motion and follower for reciprocating motion. Depending on the shape of cam and type of follower, the motion of cam-follower system is determined. Thus design process and analysis process must be well defined. The design process means to find the coordinates of cam shape which can be defined the given motion of follower and the analysis process means to determine the motion curve of follower corresponding to the given cam based on the dimensions of a cam-follower system. This paper consists of two parts: One is development of a numerical method for design and analysis of cam-follower systems, the other is for development of a CAD program and its application. As the first part of the paper, an iterative contact method is proposed. This method can calculate the contact points between cam and roller and determine their contact angles iteratively. The second part of the paper presents the structure of a CAD program and its availability to the industrial applications.

  • This paper is concerned on kinematic analysis and simulation of an automatic feeding mechanism subjected by the motion of a curvilinear inverse can. The curvilinear cam is rotated by positioning a translating roller and the automatic feeding mechanism is moved to the sliding position by the motion of a campin fixed on the curvilinear cam. The curvilinear cam consists of two arcs of circles and two straight lines. The modular approach is used for the kinematic analysis of the feeding mechanism. As the first part of the paper for the motion simulation of the cam-feeding system, this paper discusses the algorithm to simulate the motion of the cam-feeding mechanism. Use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) in Patients With Colorectal Cancer

  • This study was conducted to analyze the relationship between cancer-related stress and the types of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) used by subjects diagnosed with colorectal cancer. The number of study subjects was 142, and for data analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, χ2 test, logistic regression procedures were performed. Of the subjects, 114 were CAM users, who accounted for 79.6%. When it came to using CAM, 82 (72.6%) said they did "to prevent cancer recurrence." The most popular reason for not using CAM was "to focus on treatment as instructed by the doctor," with 22 (75.8%) respondents selecting the answer. Of those who used CAM, 79 (55.6%) said they took "dietary supplements," followed by 65 (45.8%) who picked "vitamins and minerals." Regarding CAM usage, ginger, aloe, swimming, and walking had the highest satisfaction (4.25 ± 0.71). The cancer-related stress of subjects who use CAM (18.21 ± 15.37) was higher than that of subjects who did not use CAM (10.11 ± 12.08). Logistic regression analysis determined that cancer-related stress were factors significantly associated with CAM use. Patients using CAM had higher cancer-related stress, suggesting that stress on cancer increased CAM interest. Safe and reliable CAM information and standardized recommendations should be provided to cancer survivors. We propose the development of training programs for CAM to improve communication between medical staff and patients and to protect patients.

동해석을 이용한 연료펌프의 캠 형상 설계 (Cam Profile Design of a Fuel Pump Using Dynamic Analysis)

  • This work focuses on reducing the noise and vibration levels of an LPi fuel pump, which are generated from the dynamic motions of pump elements and non-uniform flow of fuel. The noise and vibration levels increase as the revolution speed of the cam goes up. The fuel pump consists of five cavity cells, plungers and diaphragms, which are driven by the cam. The optimal design of the cam profile is performed to decrease the accelerations of moving Parts and to obtain a smooth hydraulic force through a dynamic analysis of a cam-plunger mechanism. The cam-Plunger with a cavity is modeled as a 2 degrees of freedom system having non-linear contacts, the cam profile being represented in terms of Fourier series in order to determine the optimal shape of the cam. From the optimized cam Profile, the acceleration of the diaphragm is reduced in $78\%$, the hydraulic force becoming smoother in case that the hydraulic force is rapidly dropped.

  • 본 연구에서는 지중내에 설치한 매설관에 작용하는 응력-변형 특성을 분석하였다. 연약지반의 수축과 팽창특성을 고려할 수 있는 Egg-Cam Clay 모델을 소개하였다. 기존에 사용하던 Cam Clay 모델은 연약지반의 수축 및 팽창 특성을 고려하지 못하는 단점이 있기 때문에 Cam Clay 모델을 수정하여 Egg-Cam Clay 모델을 제안하였다. 이와는 별도로 지중내의 매설관에 작용하는 응력-변형을 감소시키기 위하여 지오그리드, EPS 지오폼을 매설관과 함께 설치하였다. 탄소성모델을 이용하여 현장에 시험시공한 여러 단면에 유한요소해석한 결과 긍정적인 효과를 얻었다.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this survey research was to investigate the Perception level of CAD/CAM of dental techique. Methods: This survey was carried out in the metropolitan areas of the cities of Daegu and Gyeong-buk. Surveys were filled out by consenting dental technicians. Statistical analysis was done using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 17.0 for Windows. As for the analysis methods, the study used the frequency analysis, Ttest, F-test. Results: Perception of CAD/CAM showed differences in General characteristics associated with education level, monthly salary. Perception of CAD/CAM showed differences in professional characteristics associated with working area, working part. Perception of CAD/CAM showed differences in understanding of CAD/CAM associated with CAD/CAM operating experience, CAD/CAM educational experience. Conclusion: In order to improve the Perception level of CAD/CAM of dental technician, A variety education and follow-up research is need.
