계기 검교정간의 보증시험 절차의 개발 (Development of Measurement Assurance Test Procedures between Calibrations)

  • A nonstandard instrument used in the filed frequently becomes out-of-calibration due to environmental noise, misuse, aging, etc. A substantial amount of loss may result if such nonstandard instrument is used to check product quality and performance. Traditional periodic calibration at the calibration center is not capable of detecting out-of-calibration status while the instrument is in use, and therefore, statistical methods need to be developed to check the status of a nonstandard instrument in the field between calibrations. Developed in this paper is a unified measurement assurance model in which statistical calibration at the calibration center and measurement assurance test in the filed are combined. We developed statistical procedures to detect changes in precision and in the coefficients of the calibration equation. Futher, computational experiments are conducted to evaluate how the power of test varies with respect to the parameters involved. Based upon the computational results we suggest procedures for designing effective measurement assurance tests.

Audiometric Calibration of Aural Acoustic Immittance Instrument: A Review of Acoustic Immittance Instrument's Calibration

  • Audiometric calibration is a prerequisite for securing the reliability of audiometric test results by checking the internal consistency of the relevant instrument. The purpose of this review is to help instrument operators understand the calibration procedure of aural acoustic immittance instrument which is frequently used for objective assessment. By referring to the latest international standards and the national standards relevant to the aural acoustic immittance instrument, the following parameters will be reviewed: 1) introduction of performance characteristics, 2) detailed procedure of the calibration method. According to the newest international and national standards [IEC 60645-5 (2004), ANSI S3.39-1987 (R2012)], the aural acoustic immittance instrument basically includes six components: 1) calibration cavity, 2) acoustic immittance analysis system, 3) probe assembly/unit and signal, 4) pneumatic air-pressure pump system, 5) acoustic reflex activator system and 6) tympanogram and acoustic reflex plotting system, each of these components should meet set standards. The result of behavioral hearing tests is influenced by various complex factors including the examinee's cooperation, background noise of the examination room, measurement method, skill level of the audiologist and calibration status, but the objective hearing tests is more influenced by the calibration status of the instrument than any other factors. The audiologist should take full responsibility for the reliability of the hearing test result, so he/she should carry out the calibration check and adjustments of aural acoustic immittance instrument periodically and maintain the instrument continuously by referring to the newest standards and the manufacturer's instruction manual.

  • This paper introduces main activities of ISO/TC 108/SC 3 and published standards. Two working groups (WG 1 and WG 6) have been orgnized to review and revise ISO standards, specifically related to measurement and calibration subjects of vibration and shocks. A new joint working group (JWG1) with IEC/SC 47E (Semiconductor acceleration calibration) has started to deal with calibration methods for analog and digital output MEMS accelerometers. Finally, Published ISO standards, technically super-visored by ISO/TC 108/SC 3, are listed in this paper to help readers understand their main contents.

모형 지반의 최대 전단탄성계수 평가를 위한 벤더 엘리먼트 시험의 적용 (Application of Bender Element Tests for the Estimation of Maximum shear Modulus in Calibration Chamber)

  • This study carried out bender element tests in a calibration chamber in order to estimate the characteristics of soil specimen prepared in a calibration chamber. Basically, the purpose of bender element test is to measure the shear wave velocity. Bender element test cannot only confirm the status of soil specimen deposited in a chamber, but also estimate the consolidation process indirectly. In order to carry out bender element test in a calibration chamber, a pair of bender elements was installed inside the chamber, using the 'ㄷ' shaped frame. For the sandy soils having various relative densities in various stress conditions, the maximum shear modulus was estimated. From the comparison with bender element test results in a triaxial testing device, testing device and procedure was validated.

  • 본 논문에서는 국내의 지진자료를 이용하여 지진특성을 추정하기 전에 적용할 수 있는 사전자료처리기법을 종합적으로 검토하였다. 사전처리 기법으로는 계기보정, 센서검교정상태 확인, 윈도우에 의한 스펙트럼 왜곡 최소화, non-causal ringing에 의한 초동 왜곡 보정 기법을 분석하였으며, 자료 선택시 주파수 영역의 S/N비 확인 및 포화된 자료의 사용가능성 여부를 제시하였다.

A Study on the development and calibration method of a modular internal resistance meter to improve the safety of reusable batteries

  • Battery use is increasing worldwide to achieve carbon neutrality and improve energy efficiency, but batteries are a finite resource and their application is determined by capacity and specifications. Battery performance deteriorates as the number of uses increases. A certain level of battery performance degradation has become an issue in the field of reuse and recycling, and various studies are being conducted on reuse to solve power shortages. Waste batteries from electric vehicles are suitable for building ESS based on reusable batteries, and for stable use, technical skills are needed to accurately predict battery life and determine status information. Predicting battery life and determining status information are difficult due to non-linearity due to internal structure or chemical changes. In this paper, we manufactured a modular internal resistance measuring device and compared the measured values with Hioki equipment to minimize the error rate through a correction method. As a result of testing Hioki equipment and modular measuring instruments to ensure efficiency and safety based on reusable batteries, an accuracy of over 95% was confirmed.

  • In general, electronic conveyor scales are installed in a relatively distributed manner on the crushed rock and sand production site. It is one of the time-consuming and difficult engineering works to monitor and control the plant operation status such as the management of measuring data, malfunction of belt conveyor, and fault of electronic conveyor scale. Therefore, to alleviate the inefficient problems and to monitor the operating plant in the online and remote control room, a remote calibration and real-time monitoring system, which is practically applied to the electronic conveyor scale system and verified by onsite experiment, is developed based on the LabVIEW.

정지궤도 해양관측위성(GOCI-II)의 궤도 성능, 복사보정, 영상기하보정 결과 및 상태 (Current Status and Results of In-orbit Function, Radiometric Calibration and INR of GOCI-II (Geostationary Ocean Color Imager 2) on Geo-KOMPSAT-2B)

  • 해양탑재체(GOCI-II)가 주탑재체이며 정지궤도복합위성2B호 또는 천리안2B호로 명명된 정지궤도 해양관측위성은 2020년2월에 성공적으로 발사되어 한반도 주변의 해양과 연안을 주간 상시 관측과 감시 임무를 수행하고 있다. 해양탑재체는 천리안1호의 해양탑재체(GOCI)의 임무 승계와 향상된 성능으로 해양·연안의 효율적인 관리, 해양재해·재난 저감을 위한 실시간 해양환경모니터링과 어로 비용절감을 위한 어장환경 정보의 생산 등 해양환경감시를 위하여 개발되었다. 발사 후 해양탑채체는 초기 점검시험(IAC) 단계에 모든 기능이 정상적으로 동작됨을 확인하고, 궤도상시험(IOT) 단계에 성능·운영시험, 복사보정과 영상기하보정을 병행 진행하여 그 결과를 핸드오버회의 통하여 보고하고 국가해양위성센터로 운영권을 이관하였다. 주로 온보드 태양광 보정시스템으로 수행되는 복사보정은 사전에 수립된 계획에 따라 주기적으로 진행하여 최종 Gain과 offset 값을 설정, 적용하고 유효성을 확인하였다. 영상기하보정(INR)은 별영상 자료 기반의 네비게이션 필터링과 랜드마크 기반 보정 방식으로 요구규격을 모두 만족함을 확인하고 INR 프로세스를 검증하였다. 본 논문에서 정지궤도 해양위성이 발사 이후 궤도상 성능시험, 복사보정과 영상기하보정의 방법, 절차를 기술하고 결과와 현황을 분석하고 정리하였다.

Status of KASI's Contribution to SPHEREx

  • The KASI team are participating in the NASA MIDEX mission (PI Institute: Caltech), the all-sky infrared spectro-photometric surveyor SPHEREx (Spectro-Photometer for the History of the Universe, Epoch of Reionization, and Ices Explorer). The SPHEREx will provide us the first all-sky infrared spectro-photometric data set to probe the origin of our Universe, to explore the origin and evolution of galaxies, and to explore whether planets around other stars could harbor life. After the project PDR (Preliminary Design Review) was successfully passed on the last September, the fabrication of flight hardware is in progress. As an international partner, KASI deeply involved in all fields of projects, i.e., the development of calibration facility, the construction of data reduction modules and the science studies for the SPHEREx. After finishing the fabrication and test of calibration facility for the SPHEREx in this year, it will be delivered to Caltech. Here, we report the status of the SPHEREx project and the progress in the Korean participation.

국내 방사선 측정장비 보유 현황 및 교정 현황 조사 (Report of Present Status of Calibration for Domestic Radiation Measurements Instruments)

  • 치료장비의 정확한 정도관리를 위해서는 선량측정기의 주기적 교정이 중요하다. 국내 방사선종양학과에서 사용하는 교정대상 측정기는 이온전리함, 온도계, 기압계 및 서베이미터 등이 있다. 현재 국내 교정기관에서 권고하고 있는 교정 유효 기간은 6개월에서 1년이나 최근 제조사 및 외국 교정기관에서는 2년의 유효기간을 제시하고 있다. 따라서 측정기의 특성에 따른 가장 합리적인 교정주기의 설정이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 ILAC-G24 지침서(2) 등을 기반으로 국내 방사선종양학과에서 사용하는 측정기들의 최적의 교정주기를 설정하기 위한 기초단계로 불확도, 측정기의 사용 빈도, 사용 방법, 장비의 안정도 등을 조사하여 향후 측정장비의 적절한 유효 기간 도출의 기본 자료로 활용하고자 한다. 조사 방법은 온라인 설문조사도구인 SurveyMonkey를 이용하였으며 조상대상은 전국의 18개의 대학병원으로 이중 15개 기관에서 응답하였다. 설문조사 질의 내용은 작성자 정보, 온도계, 기압계, 서베이미터, 기준이온전리함, 소조사면 측정장비 및 근접치료용 우물형 전리함으로 구성하였고 총 64문항으로 모두 응답시 약 50분간의 시간이 소요된다. 조사대상의 과반수 기관에서 온도계와 기압계의 교정을 실시하지 않는 것으로 조사되었다. 반면 서베이미터는 6개월에서 1년 정도로 교정주기가 비교적 짧았다. 본 조사를 바탕으로 측정장치별 최적의 교정주기를 결정할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
