  • Singh (2013) considered the dual problem to the calibration of design weights to obtain a new generalized linear regression estimator (GREG) for the finite population total. In this work, we have made an attempt to suggest a way to use the dual calibration of the design weights in case of multi-auxiliary variables; in other words, we have made an attempt to give an answer to the concern in Remark 2 of Singh (2013) work. The same idea is also used to generalize the GREG estimator proposed by Deville and S$\ddot{a}$rndal (1992). It is not an easy task to find the optimum values of the parameters appear in our approach; therefore, few suggestions are mentioned to select values for such parameters based on a random sample. Based on real data set and under simple random sampling without replacement design, our approach is compared with other approaches mentioned in this paper and for different sample sizes. Simulation results show that all estimators have negligible relative bias, and the multivariate case of Singh (2013) estimator is more efficient than other estimators.

  • The major purpose of this paper is to develop an uncertainty estimate for the calibration of thermopile instruments used to measure solar radiation parameters. We briefly describe the solar radiation parameters most often measured, instrumentation, reference standards, and calibration techniques. The bulk of the paper describes elemental sources of error and their magnitude. We then apply a standard error analysis methodology to combine these elemental error estimates into a statement of total uncertainty for the instrument calibration factor. Our results allow one to evaluate the accuracy of a radiometric measurement using thermopile instrumentation in the light of the application, such as engineering test evaluation or for validation of theoretical models.

  • Kinematic calibration of Gough-Stewart platform using a new measurement device is presented in this paper. The device simultaneously measures components of position and orientation using commercially available gadgets. Additional kinematic parameters are defined to model the sources of inaccuracies for the proposed measurement device. Computer simulations reveal that all kinematic parameters of the Gough-Stewart platform and the additional kinematic parameters of the measurement device can be identified with the partial pose measurements of the device. Results also show that identification is robust for the initial errors and the noise in measurements. The device also facilitates the automation of easurement procedure.

  • In this study, we try to coincide virtual robot system in an OLP(off-line programming) with actual robot system even though kinematic differences between them are made. The virtual robot in the OLP may be modeled according to kinematics of the actual robot system. However, it is a complicated problem to find exactly all kinematic parameters of actual robot and environment. In this paper, an automated calibration method is proposed In order to find some kinematical parameters which are necessary for the modeling of a robot and environment in the OLP. It is applicable to SCARA robot for assembly task. In this method, a well-marked worktable of environment Is regarded as reference coordinate frame. The robot detects some marks on the worktable through sensors attached to the end-effector. The necessary parameters are calculated from the data of the robot joint variables when the robot detects the mark. The model in the OLP is modified by the parameters.

  • Vicarious calibration method using MODIS-derived surface reflectivity data as inputs to a radiative transfer model have been developed for the planned COMS solar channel. Pilot test was conduced over the Simpson Desert targets in Australia. Results suggested that calibration can be achieved within $5\%$ error range.

  • The computer based three phase power analysing system has been developed as a traveling standard for onsite power calibration. The system is utilized with digital-to-analog converts which were synchronized each other. Using digital signal processing technique the software has been developed to calculate power parameters. The calibration system is fully traceable to national standard system and, accuracy allows the calibration of industrial power measurement systems.

  • We propose a flexible camera calibration system for mobile platform to calibrate the camera's intrinsic parameters which based on the geometrical property of the vanishing points determined by two perpendicular groups of parallel lines. The system only requires the camera to observe a rectangle card show at a few(at least four)different orientation. The experimental results of the real images show the proposed calibration system in this paper is easy to use and robust.

  • Using many homogeneous data of DDO and UBV colors for all luminosity classes and physical quantities known from spectroscopic observations, new calibration schemes with DDO photometric parameters are presented for metal abundance, effective temperature and surface gravity of stars. And an intrinsic color relation is derived for the reddening estimate.
