지속적 프로세스 개선을 위한 6시그마와 BPM 통합 모형 (Integration of Six Sigma and BPM for Continuous Process Improvement)

  • 6시그마는 지난 20여 년간 제조 및 서비스 등의 산업에서 프로세스 개선을 위하여 꾸준히 적용되어왔다. 그럼에도 불구하고 6시그마는 Define 단계에서 의미있는 프로젝트를 계속 발굴하기 힘들고 Control 단계에서 지속적인 측정 및 통제가 쉽지 않다는 문제가 지적되었다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 개선 프로세스의 지속적인 통제와 관리를 원활히 할 수 있는 체계가 요구되며, 비즈니스 프로세스 관리(BPM) 시스템이 효과적 대안이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 프로세스 운영 및 분석에서 누적된 데이터를 중심으로 지속적 프로세스 개선을 실현하기 위한 목적으로 6시그마와 BPM의 통합 모형을 제시하고, 프로젝트 수행을 위하여 상호 데이터기반으로 프로세스를 분석, 개선, 모니터링하는 과정을 설명한다. 이를 통하여 6시그마와 BPM의 장점을 결합하여, 지속적으로 업무를 개선하고 관리함으로써 전사적인 경영성과를 극대화할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • 기업정보시스팀은 정보자원을 활용한 정보서비스 제공기술을 적극, 활용하여야 한다. 기업정보시스팀 개선은 기업정보센터 설치와 전문사서의 배치를 전제로 한다. 따라서, 경영자는 기술혁신의 채택과 경영전략, 정보지원이 결합될 때 기업의 발전과 관리운영의 효율화를 가져올 것이다. 특히, 인터넷을 활용한 정보서비스는 신속한 의사결정과 새로운 정책의 유입, 유연한 기업조직과 기술혁신에 핵심요소가 될 것이다.

품질비용관리시스템 구축을 통한 품질비용 개선효과 및 성과에 관한 사례연구 (A case study on the improvement effects of quality cost by establishing a quality cost management system)

  • Many companies have endeavored to build a quality cost management system in order to be more productive business organization. This study shows the detail procedures of constructing a quality cost management system which is believed to be appropriate for their business system. That is, the method to calculate the quality cost and the linking logic between the quality improvement and its financial impact are explained based on a particular industry case. In this sense, the changes of business performance measures such as market share, customer satisfaction, etc. were analyzed in the longitudinal perspective for the consecutive 4 years (2003~2006). As the quantitative results of this study, the improvement activities based on the quality cost management system resulted in the 32% reduction of quality cost and the 121% increase of business profit, compared 2005 with 2006. In the qualitative perspective, the successive practice of quality cost reduction and the job information sharing in business unit were obtained by providing the best practices and bench-marking cases. Finally, the customer satisfaction has increased so that the customer-friendly management system has been accomplished. With these efforts, the 3.4% increase of the market share and the 3% increase of the customer satisfaction were obtained in 2005. As the future study, the current study can be extended to the concept of COPQ (cost of poor quality) which focuses on the hidden quality cost of the whole business activities. Such extension of analysis will help us understand the wider role of a quality cost management system in the business.

방산 중소기업의 지속적 개선활동이 공급망 품질경영활동과 기업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Impact of Continuous Improvement Activities of Defense SMEs on the SCQM and Business Performance)

  • Purpose: This study analyzes the characteristics of the Quality Management performed by SMEs in the Defense Industry in supply chains and analyzes the effect of the continuous improvement activities based on cooperation. Especially, for Military Supplies, the suitability of products is usually decided by judging their conformity to the specification, and from this structural characteristic, this study would analyze the structural relationship of systematic improvement activities with Supply Chain Quality Management(SCQM) and Business Performance(BP). Methods: Continuous improvement activities(CI) have significance as the driver force for the promotion of Quality Management. Thus, this study analyzed the causal relationships from the perspective of the process among CI, SCQM and BP. For an analysis of the structural characteristics and causal relationships among the constituents, AMOS was used, and 297 companies in the Defense Industry were utilized as samples. Results: It turned out that CI had significant impacts on Management Infra(MGT_Infra), Process Management(PM), Human Resources Management(HRM) and Communication(COMU) and had an indirect impact on the enterprises' financial performance through the parameters of HRM and Communication. Meanwhile, it turned out that between CI and non-financial performance, there was a direct effect, and there was also an indirect effect through the variables of the Management Infra and Communication. Conclusion: It turned out that CI had a positive effect on SCQM as a proactive driver and that they had significant relationships with BP(financial, Non-financial), both financial performance and non-financial performance. However, PM did not have a significant relationship of effect with BP because of the character appearing by the evaluation method of military supplies for the conformity to the specifications.

Improvement Plan for Cash Receipt System

  • Considering the current situation where cash transactions account for 51.5% of private consumption expenditure, it is very important to secure a tax base by exposing business operators' cash transactions. In the September 2011 national audit, it was pointed out that although a significant part of the investment amount of businesses (VAN operators, etc.) related to the issuance of cash receipts has been recovered, they are still supported through the state tax. At this point in time when a significant amount of the initial investment has been recovered, it is necessary to study a new way to support business operators through methods other than the tax credit method. This study proposes various methods to improve the current cash receipt system and describes the advantages and disadvantages of each method. The most important thing for the improvement of the cash receipt system is that the issuance of cash receipts should be beneficial to business operators. As a result of this study, the most desirable improvement method is to provide differential compensation for the discriminatory cost because the cost is different for each cash receipt operator. For this purpose, we analyze the best way to improve the cash receipt system is a tax credit method and a tax credit for maintenance costs.

하수관거정비 BTL사업의 효과분석 및 방안 수립 연구 (Development of Evaluation Methodology on the Performance of BTL Sewer Rehabilitation Projects)

  • It requires an interim performance assessment for BTL business of the sewerage rehabilitation which continues from 2005 till now. Means, It is necessary to make an interim performance assessment and an analysis of an business effect of the sewerage rehabilitation BTL projects which still continues, and we presented an improvement method of the new sewerage rehabilitation project in future. This paper has conducted an analysis of the business effect for 3 local government BTL projects which are completed and under operation as of now in Jincheon-Gun, Cheongju-Si and Gangjin-Gun. As a method of business effect analysis, we conducted a business effect of the 3 places using the index set which we previously set for the business effect analysis. The index set in this research was sectionalized to an improvement effect of operating wastewater treatment plant, an benefit effect of the direct cost, an benefit effect of the indirect cost and an environment friendly effect. We, in this paper, conducted an business effect analysis for 3 sewerage rehabilitation BTL projects which are completed or under operation recently as a demonstration, however we judge that an business effect analysis shall be conducted in a stage that a significant time for operation has passed since the completion of the construction in order to induce an actual business effect of the sewerage rehabilitation BTL project.

The Effect of Perceived Benefits and Obstacles on the Continuous Internet Adoption Intention in Fashion Companies

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how the perceived benefits and obstacles of fashion companies, which utilizes the internet as a marketing or commercial transaction tool, have effect on the continuous internet adoption intention, and to analyze the differences between the companies that have introduced the internet commercial transaction and those that have not. A survey was conducted from January $15^{th}$ to February $20^{th}$ in 2009, among the employees of fashion companies carrying out internet business. A total of 314 respondents used in the data analysis, the statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test and multiple regression analysis. The results show that the elevation of the business results, improvement in customer relationship and raise in market reactivity of the perceived benefits has effect on the continuous internet adoption intention of fashion companies. There are differences in the elevation of the business results, improvement in consumer relationship, miscellaneous expenses and the continuous internet adoption intention between companies that introduced a internet commercial transaction system and those that have not.

Comparative Analysis of the Role of Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) according to the Characteristics of Business Districts - Based on a case study on BIDs in London, UK -

  • London's BID, introduced in the early 2000s, has grown significantly to fill the gap between government services which have been decreased by the global recession and localism, and the demand for better services to strengthen competitiveness on a global level. Based on this background, this study comparatively analysed two BIDs in London with contrasting regional characteristics to find how BID works differently for the regeneration and sustainable development of regional business districts according to regional characteristics. As a result, the two BIDs ultimately had the goal of improving the local business environment and strengthening the competitiveness of local businesses and had a common point of working in close partnership with the public sector such as the local government. However, depending on the local situation and characteristics, it has been observed that there are differences in the strategies of work and the roles and relationships in the partnership with the public sector.
