백삼의 심적밀도와 근중과의 관계 (Relationship Between Bulk Density and Root Weight in White Ginseng)

  • Weight (g/root) and bulk density (g/$cm^3$) of tap root in 15-root-grade of 4-year-old white ginseng were investigated by specific gravity and weight-volume method. Bulk density measured by specific gravity ranged from 0.8 to 1.2g/$cm^3$ with almost normal distribution in frequency (number 1 of roots). Bulk density measured by volume-weight method had significant correlation with root weight. The percentage of high bulk density root (above 1.0) showed significant positive correlation with mean root weight or mean bulk density of root weight, indicating that the growth conditions for large root provide the better compactnes of root tissue.

한·단일국가 FTA체결에 따른 우리나라 벌크물동량 영향분석 : 싱가포르, 인도, 미국을 중심으로 (The Impact of Bilateral Free Trade Agreements on International Trade Volume of Bulk Shipment at the Port of Korea: Focusing on Korea's FTA with Singapore, India, and United States)

  • 본 연구는 한국과 싱가포르, 인도, 미국의 자유무역협정(FTA) 발효로 인한 양자간 교역증진효과를 통계적으로 비교 분석하고자 한다. 다수의 선행연구에서 양자간 교역 증대효과 추정시 활용된 중력모형(Gravity)을 기본 방법론으로 패널분석(Panel analysis)을 통해 한국과 FTA 발효국(싱가포르, 인도, 미국)을 효과집단으로, 미발효국은 통제집단으로 구분하여 총 20년의 기간을 설정하여 FTA 발효의 순수효과를 추정하였다. 자유무역협정의 교역증대효과 분석을 위해 우리나라와 FTA가 발효된 3개 국가(효과집단)와 2015년 기준 우리나라 벌크물동량 교역 상위 90%의 비중을 차지하는 27개 국가(통제집단)의 횡단면 및 시계열로 구성된 패널자료를 사용하였다. 분석 결과 FTA 발효는 우리나라 벌크물동량 증대에 기여한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 본 연구의 대상국가인 싱가포르, 인도, 미국과는 자유무역협정 발효로 인한 무역창출효과가 발생하였고 ASEAN 및 NAFTA+3의 경우 무역전환효과가 발생하였다. 한편 자유무역협정 이외의 GDP, 1인당 GDP 변수는 벌크물동량과 정(正)의 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났으며, 거리 변수는 물동량과 부(負)의 효과를 보이는 것으로 분석되었다. 마지막으로 국가별 패널자료 분석 결과 하우스만 검정 및 LR검정을 시행하였으며, 고정효과모형이 임의효과모형보다 적합한 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구에서는 한국과 총 5개 단일국가(칠레, 싱가포르, 인도, 페루, 미국) 간 FTA 발효가 부산항 벌크물동량에 미치는 영향에 대한 실증분석을 시도하였다. 분석을 위해 대한민국과 FTA가 발효된 5개 국가(효과집단)와 2015년 기준 부산항 벌크물동량 교역 상위 80%의 비중을 차지하는 10개 국가(통제집단)의 횡단면 및 시계열로 구성된 패널자료를 사용하였다. 분석 결과 FTA 발효는 부산항 벌크물동량의 증대에 기여한 것으로 나타났다. FTA 이외의 GDP, 인구 변수는 부산항 벌크물동량과 양(+)의 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났으며, 거리 변수는 물동량과 음(-)의 효과를 보이는 것으로 분석되었다. 국가별 패널자료는 하우스만 검정 및 LR검정을 통해 확률효과모형이 적합한 것으로 나타났다.

제주도 현무암의 점착력과 내부 마찰각 (Cohesion and Internal Friction Angle of Basalts in Jeju Island)

  • 제주도 화산암은 지질학적 그리고 역학적 특성이 지역마다 큰 차이를 보일 뿐만 아니라, 특히 여러 환경적인 요인으로 인하여 크기와 분포가 다양한 기공이 많은 다공성 구조를 보이고 있다. 본 연구에서는 제주도 북동부 육해상, 남동부 해상 및 북서부 해상에서 채취한 현무암 암석에 대하여 삼축압축시험을 수행하였으며, 그 결과로부터 추정된 점착력과 내부 마찰각을 제주도 현무암의 다공성 구조를 나타내는 파라미터인 흡수율과 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 제주도 현무암의 흡수율과 점착력의 관계는 흡수율과 비중의 상관관계에 따라 그 관계를 명확하게 구분할 수 있었으며, 흡수율이 증가함에 따라 점착력은 급격하게 감소하였다. 반면 제주도 현무암의 내부 마찰각은 흡수율과 비중의 상관관계와 관계없이 흡수율이 증가함에 따라 거의 선형적으로 감소하였다.

절단 볏짚의 물리적 성질 (Some Physical Properties of Chopped Rice Straw)

  • This study was performed to determine the kinetic friction coefficient bulk density, dynamic and static angle of repose, and terminal velocity of the chopped rice straw in the moisture range of 8~23%, which could be used for better design and operation of the processing machinery and handling facilities. Friction coefficient was determined from the horizontal traction force measured by pulling the container holding the mass of rice straw on the various plate materials. Bulk density was measured with an apparatus consisting of a filling funnel and a receiving vessel. Dynamic angle of repose was calculated from the photos of bulk samples piled by gravity flow on a circular platform. Static angle of repose was determined by measuring the side angle of the bulk material which was left in the cylindrical container after natural discharge of the bulk sample through a circular hole in the bottom plate. Kinetic friction coefficients of rice straw on the PVC, mild steel, stainless steel, and galvanized steel were in the range of 0.303~0.434, 0.222~0.439, 0.204~0.448, and 0.206~0.407, respectively. and indicated linear increase with moisture content. The effects of moisture change on the friction coefficients were in the order of PVC, mild steel, galvanized steel, and stainless steel. Bulk density, dynamic and static angle of repose, and terminal velocity were in the range of 56.8~60.3 kg/m$^3$, 41.4~45.9$^{\circ}$, 94.4~100.8$^{\circ}$, and 1.07~4.48 m/s, respectively, and were increased linearly with the moisture content.

왕겨의 물리적 성질 (Physical Properties of Rice Husk)

Bulk density, dynamic and static angle of repose, and terminal velocity were in the range of $91.7\~98.3$ $kg/m^3$, $40.2\~47.6^{\circ},\;52.8\~83.7^{\circ},$ and $1.36\~1.73$ m/s, respectively. These physical properties of rice husk increased linearly as the moisture content increased.

물류성과지표가 우리나라 수출입 물동량에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Logistics Performance Index on Korea's Import and Export Cargo)

  • This study aims to investigate the relationship between cargo volume and logistics performance index published by World Bank which indicate countries' logistics performance. In this study, the results were derived through panel regression analysis consisting of variables such as gross domestic product, geographical distance, population, and LPI using container export/import volume and bulk export/import volume as dependent variables. As a result of the empirical analysis, it was found that Korea's container volume was affected by the overall level of logistics, in particular, was deeply related to the logistics infrastructure, while bulk volume was not related to the logistics level or was less influential.

Utilization of Fly Ash in Asphaltic Concrete Mixtures

  • Dwindling supplies and increasing costs of conventional highway materials used in road construction as well as concerns over shrinking landfill spaces prompt researchers to investigate the use of waste products, such as fly ash, as substitute materials in highway construction. The highway industry is capable of utilizing waste materials in large quantities if their effect on pavement performance proves to be technically, economically and environmentally satisfactory. This research examines the effects of fly ash when used as partial replacement of aggregate in asphaltic concrete mixtures. And measuring the effect of fly ash on bulk specific gravity, air void, indirect tensile strength (ITS) under dry and wet conditioning as well as the tensile strength ratio (TSR) of asphaltic concrete mixture. The results indicated that asphaltic concrete mixtures containing 2% and 5% fly ash produced about the same TSR value as control mixture. And all of the mixtures met the minimum ITS and TSR requirements established by the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SC DOT) for Type 1A surface courses. At this point and with this limited study, these asphaltic concrete mixtures is recommended in several applications such as parking lot, secondary roads and driveways.

폐유리를 재활용한 인공경량골재의 발포기구 (Bloating Mechanism of Artificial Lightweight Aggregate for Recycling the Waste Glass)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve recycling rate of the waste glasses by investigating bloating mechanism. In this study, we use waste glass(W/G) and hard clay(H/C) as raw materials. The artificial lightweight aggregates were formed by plastic forming($\phi$=10 mm) and sintered by fast firing method at different temperatures(between 700 and $1250^{\circ}C$). The physical properties of the aggregates such as bulk specific gravity, adsorption and microstructure of surface and cross-section are investigated with the sintering temperature and rate of W/G-H/C contents. As the result of the bulk specific gravity graphs, we can found out the inflection point at content of W/G 60 wt%. From the microstructure images, we considered the artificial lightweight aggregates content of W/ G over 60wt% are distributed numerous micro-pores by organic oxidation without Black Core and the artificial lightweight aggregates of W/G below 60 wt% are distributed macro-pores with Black Core.

Effect of Tillage on Nonpoint Source Pollution of Surface and Ground Water System (I); Effect of Tillage Practices on Density and Saturation of Soil

  • Increasing national concern on nonpoint source pollution of surface and ground water Systems has led researchers and policy makers to develop certain agricultural Best Management Practices. As an initial step of broad study program above mentioned, this study reflected the effects of different tillage practice on bulk density and degree of saturation on two regional soils, namely Tama silt loam and Catlin silt loam. Results may help to clarify some of the conflicting findings on the impact of tillage systems on these parameters and it may also explain some of the reasons for specific role that different tillage systems play regarding nonpoint source pollution from agricultural fields.
