내진성능평가에 따른 정밀안전진단 및 내진 보수보강 조치의 개선방안 연구 (A study on the improvement plan for precision safety diagnosis and seismic repair and reinforcement measures according to seismic performance evaluation)

  • For an earthquake-safe urban environment, the Republic of Korea conducts seismic performance evaluation in accordance with laws and guidelines to assign safety ratings and implement necessary management measures such as repairs and reinforcements. In the seismic performance evaluation result, structures lacking in preparation for earthquakes are prioritized and classified into measures such as repair, reinforcement, or careful observation to respond to physical risks such as earthquakes. Such repair and reinforcement work is not a one-time thing, but it is necessary to further enhance the effect through continuous follow-up observation. In this study, the location of the vertical and horizontal displacement measuring part of the construction part is displayed so that the post-construction status of the reinforcement construction part can be visually checked by identifying the problems in the process of post-monitoring in 2022 for the maintenance and reinforcement work of local governments' public facilities carried out in 2021. We propose a plan to institutionalize the installation of, inspection tools, and crack gauges at certain locations in the construction department, and to have facility managers periodically inspect and manage them with a smartphone program or the 'Facility Autonomous Safety Inspection' app.

Finite Element Analysis of Carbon Fiber Composite Sandwich Panels Subjected to Wind Debris Impacts

  • Hurricanes and tornadoes are the most destructive natural disasters in some central and southern states. Thus, storm shelters, which can provide emergency protections for low-rise building residents, are becoming popular nowadays. Both FEMA and ICC have published a series of manuals on storm shelter design. However, the authors found that the materials for related products in the market are heavyweight and hard to deliver and install; renovations are necessary. The authors' previous studies found that lightweight and high-performance composite materials can withstand extreme wind pressure, but some building codes are designated in wind-borne debris areas. In these areas, wind debris can reach greater than 100 mph speed. In addition, the impact damage on the composite materials is an increasing safety issue in many engineering fields; some can cause catastrophic results. Therefore, studying composite structures subjected to wind debris impact is essential. The finite element models are set up using the software Abaqus 2.0 to conduct the simulations to observe the impact resistance behavior of the carbon fiber composite sandwich panels. The selected wood debris models meet the FEMA requirements. The outcome of this study is then employed in future lab tests and compared with other material models.

혹한기 고강도 콘크리트 매스부재의 현장 압축강도 평가 (Evaluation on In-Site Compressive Strength of High-Strength Concrete Mass Elements under Cold Weather)

  • 이 연구에서는 혹한기 환경에서 매스부재에서 수화열을 고려한 고강도 콘크리트의 실제 압축강도 특성을 평가하였다. 목업 실험체는 가로${\times}$세로${\times}$높이가 $2.0{\times}1.2{\times}1.0m$로 제작하였다. 콘크리트 현장 압축강도 발현 특성은 $5^{\circ}C$에서 기건양생된 원주형 공시체와 수화열의 영향이 반영된 목업 벽체에서 채취된 코어 실험체를 비교하였다. 실험결과, 목업 벽체에서 채취된 코어의 재령 3일까지 압축강도는 실린더 강도에 비해 30% 높았는데, 이는 시멘트계 재료의 수화열에 의한 고온의 양생온도 효과 때문이다. 또한 성숙도 함수에 기반한 예측모델과 실험결과의 비교로부터 매스 부재에서 콘크리트의 현장 압축강도 발현을 합리적으로 평가하기 위해서는 수화열의 양생효과를 고려할 필요가 있음이 제시될 수 있다.

철근콘크리트의 염해와 중성화 피해 사례 연구 (The Study on Salt Injury and Carbonation of Reinforced-Concrete)

  • A reinforced concrete building neighboring in Pusan or Ulsan where is directly exposed to salt water contrasting with other in land areas contains much salt content percolated from the outside that the high salt content percolates and diffuses through the inside of reinforced concrete; therefore, an immovable tunic surrounding it begins to be destroyed and eroded with high speed. At the time, the cross-sectional area and volume expansion of re-bar reinforcing result in being cracks make a rapid progress gradually until they appear in the surface of the one, the phenomenon such as being a thin layer or falling off the part of it causes a lowering of its durability and might collapse the concrete construction. So far, we've investigated into salt content of reinforced concrete constructions neighboring in a seaside district and damage by carbonation, and we came to a conclusion as follows: $\circled1$ Under the oceanic circumstance a concrete construction is influenced by sea water directly that contains much amount of salt content contrasting with other constructions on inland areas. $\circled2$ Because of chloride penetration the carbonation of reinforced concrete made a rapid progress until more than the covering thickness of re-bar. $\circled3$ An old reinforced concrete building which has been piled up salt injury and proceeding the carbonation of its cross-sectional area. $\circled4$ According to rapidly cracking from the inside to surface of reiforced concrete, the phenomenon of being a thin layer or falling off the part of reinforced concrete results in a lowering of durability and shortening the life-time of concrete construction itself.

건축시공교육에 팀 기반 학습 적용 연구 (Building Construction Education Adopted Team-based Learning)

  • 최근 건축공학교육에서는 기존의 주입식 교육방식에서 벗어나 실무능력을 강화할 수 있는 혁신적인 교육방법이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 여러 분야에서 그 효과가 검증된 팀 기반학습 강의법을 실제 건축공학교육에 적용해보고 그 적용가능성을 검토해보았다. 적용성 검토를 위해서 강의 수강생 39명을 대상으로 학기말에 학습 성취도에 관한 설문조사를 수행하였다. 그 결과, 팀 기반학습을 통하여 학생들의 학습 성취도가 높아지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 향후 더 다양한 건축공학 교과목에서 팀 기반학습을 활용하여 학생들의 학습 성취도 향상뿐만 아니라 실무능력을 갖춘 우수한 인재양성에 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.

  • Recently, the environmental conservation has been emphasized over the world. Building industry should carefully reflected the development focused on the economic aspect as well as the environmental considerations. Therefore, it requires the technology development to mitigate the environmental pollution through the reducement of the energy and resources usage amount over the building life cycle. For these, it should be required to set up the analysis methodology to grasp the amount of the environmental pollution and energy and resources in each step of building life cycle. In this paper, it aimed at preparing the analysis process and analyzing the embodied energy and $CO_2$ and $SO_x$ emission according to the building work, field work, mechanical and electrical work on the new building and remodelling, utilizing the inventory analysis which is one of the LCA process.

  • 골조공사는 프로젝트의 전체 공사비 및 공사기간에서 차지하는 비율에 매우 높으며, 대형 프로젝트에서 골조공사 공기단축은 프로젝트의 성패를 결정하는 중요한 요소이다. 이에 공기단축을 위한 새로운 공법에 대한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져 오고 있다. H형강 대신 앵글을 사용하는 PSRC 합성기둥은 기존의 SRC 기둥에 비해 높은 휨강도 및 연성도를 가지며 현장에서의 철근작업을 생략할 수 있다는 장점이 있으나, 여전히 거푸집작업이 필요하다는 한계점이 있다. 본 연구는 기존의 PSRC 기둥 공법을 개선하여 영구거푸집까지 선조립하는 Form-LPSRC 기둥 공법을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. Mock-up test를 통해 발생 가능한 문제점을 사전에 검토함과 동시에 현장 적용을 통해 해당 공법의 적용효과를 분석하였으며, 기존 SRC 기둥에 공기, 원가, 품질, 안전, 환경 측면에서 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

유니트 커튼월 멀리온 레일 양중 시스템의 경제성 및 현장 적용 가능성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Economic and the Field Application Feasibility of Unit Curtain Wall Mullion Rail Lift System)

  • 본 연구는 최근 고층 건축물의 외장 마감으로 사용되는 커튼월 중, 유니트 커튼월 방식의 양중 문제 해결을 위하여 커튼월의 수직부재인 멀리온을 레일로 활용하고자 하였다. 커튼월 멀리온의 레일 적용에 따른 양중 가능 여부는 Mock-Up Test의 진행을 통해 20m/sec의 풍속에도 양중이 가능한 것으로 나타났으며, 비교를 위해 선정된 현장 기준으로 공사 기간은 약 20% 단축이 가능하며 투입 인원은 약 33%를 줄일 수 있을 것으로 분석되었으며, 10,000㎡의 설치를 가정하면 80% 이상의 시공비용 절감이 가능한 공법으로 판단된다.

  • The purpose of this study is to conduct researches on the aspects of reconstruction and remodeling of low-rise, dilapidated apartment buildings in the provinces, using comparative methodologies, consequently coming up with the findings in the following. 1) Unlike the rebuilding projects in which the movement process tends to be made in a bulk (in a simultaneous manner), it turns out that when it comes to remodeling, it would be advisable to attempt moving the inhabitants as a group either by the size of their residence or by the building. 2) Given the peculiarities of the construction management mechanism, remodeling projects might seem disadvantageous on the part of the management on account of inadequate accumulation of information and experience. Hence, based on the impeccable assessment of the current status of the subject buildings from the phase of planning, its imperative to closely look into and take into consideration a variety of direct and/or indirect factors in advance of the implementation. 3) A series of comparative researches from the perspective of economical efficiency that remodeling projects appear profitable considering the overall costs including financial expenses, varied taxes, and so on that will be eventually brought forth during the reconstruction period, and all the more so when allowing for the consequential effects which they ought to have upon the natural and human resources, environmental and ecological condition, business potentials, etc. Amelioration to be desired on the basis of the findings above.

팽창재를 사용한 시멘트 혼합물의 재령별 수화물의 특성과 초기강도 개선 효과 (Hydrate Characteristics of Cement Mixtures with Expansion Additive According to Age and Improvement Effect on Initial Strength)

  • CSA, a cement mineral compound that is mainly composed of $3CaO{\cdot}3Al_2O_3{\cdot}CaSO_4$, generates ettringite as a hydration product after a reaction with glass (lime), gypsum and water to speed up the hardening process and enhance the strength and degree of expansion. When used as a cement admixture, there is increased production of ettringite, which can improve the initial strength in the first three days and ameliorate the reduction in the initial strength caused by the use of fly ash in particular. In this study, a hydrate analysis was performed using XRD and SEM after substitution with fly ash (30%) and CSA (8%) with the goal of observing the effect of CSA on the initial strength of a cement mixture containing fly ash. The results of the analysis showed that an addition of CSA promoted the production of ettringite and improved the initial strength, resulting in the generation of hydrates, which can effectively enhance the long-term strength of these materials.
