Interactive drawing with user's intentions using image segmentation

  • This study introduces an interactive drawing system, a tool that allows user to sketch and draw with his own intentions. The proposed system enables the user to express more creatively through a tool that allows the user to reproduce his original idea as a drawing and transform it using his body. The user can actively participate in the production of the artwork by studying the unique formative language of the spectator. In addition, the user is given an opportunity to experience a creative process by transforming arbitrary drawing into various shapes according to his gestures. Interactive drawing systems use the segmentation of the drawing image as a way to extend the user's initial drawing idea. The system includes transforming a two-dimensional drawing into a volume-like form such as a three-dimensional drawing using image segmentation. In this process, a psychological space is created that can stimulate the imagination of the user and project the object of desire. This process of drawing personification plays a role of giving the user familiarity with the artwork and indirectly expressing his her emotions to others. This means that the interactive drawing, which has changed to the emotional concept of interaction beyond the concept of information transfer, can create a cooperative sensation image between user's time and space and occupy an important position in multimedia society.

The Inhibiton Effects of Hypercholesterolemia and Platelet in Fermented and Non-Fermented Preparation of Garlic

  • This Dietary cholesterol augments lipid profile and primes production and activation of platelets, leading to development of atherosclerosis which produce several detrimental effects on cardiovascular health. Ethnomedicine and Mediterranean diet are natural sources and cost effective modes against several ailments including cardiovascular diseases while fermented foods have gained interest due to their increased nutrient profile, enhanced bioavailability and efficacy. Garlic has been known to reduce cholesterol and inhibit platelet activation. We examined whether fermented garlic ameliorates effects of hypercholesterolemia and platelet functions in rats. Methodology: Male SD rats were fed with hypercholesterolemia diet and treated with spirulina, fermented and non-fermented preparations of garlic for one month. Platelet aggregation and granule secretion were assessed to evaluate platelet activation. Liver and kidney weights, lipid and enzymatic profile of serum and whole blood analysis was performed. Expressions of SREBP, ACAT-2 and HMG-CoA were assessed using RT-PCR while liver and adipose tissues were analyzed for histological changes. Both fermented and non-fermented garlic inhibited platelet aggregation and granule secretion while fermented garlic showed greater inhibitor tendency. Fermented garlic significantly reduced liver weight and triglycerides concentrations than non-fermented garlic. Similarly, fermented garlic greatly abrogated the detrimental effects of steatosis on liver and adipose tissues. Fermented garlic significantly improved lipid profile and modulated platelet functions, thereby inhibiting atherosclerosis and platelet related cardiovascular disorders.

운송 문제의 최소비용 우선 배정 알고리즘을 적용한 총괄계획 (Aggregate Planning Using Least Cost First Assignment Algorithm of Transportation Problem)

  • 총괄생산계획을 작성하는데 있어 운송법은 일반적으로 운송문제에 특화된 NCM, LCM, VAM 중 어느 하나로 초기 해를 구하고 SSM, MODI 중 어느 하나로 최적화를 수행하는 TSM에 대해 선형계획법 소프트웨어 패키지를 활용하고 있다. 반면에, 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 패키지 도움 없이도 총괄생산계획을 쉽고 빠르며, 정확하게 작성하는 운송법을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 단순히 최소비용 우선 배정법을 적용하고, 재고기간을 최소화하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘을 6개의 실험데이터에 적용한 결과 VAM이나 LP에 비해 4개 데이터에 대해서는 보다 좋은 결과를, 나머지 2개 데이터에 대해서는 동일한 결과를 얻었다.

IoT 기반 스마트 자판기 시스템의 분석 및 설계 (Analysis and Design of Smart Vending Machine System based on IoT)

  • 최근에 사물인터넷이라고 불리는 IoT 기술은 산업전반에 걸쳐 널리 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 주변에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 자판기의 불편함을 해소한 새로운 IoT 기반 스마트 자판기 시스템을 제안한다. 이는 사용자에게는 현금이 없이도 물건 구매가 가능하게 하고 자판기 관리자에게는 재고 및 판매가 편리하게 할 수 있어 관리비용을 절약시켜 준다. 본 스마트 자판기의 제작을 위해 객체지향 분석 방법인 UML을 이용한 분석 예시 및 그것을 활용한 플로우차트 및 화면 설계 예시를 제시한다. 또한 이는 본 제안방법이 IoT 기반 스마트 자판기 상용화 시스템 제작의 가이드라인으로 유용하게 활용될 수 있음을 보여준다.

산업용 및 군수산업 부품단종 정보체계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Information Management Systems for Discontinuity of Industrial and Military Components)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 산업용과 군사용 장비의 전자 부품단종 문제를 해결하기 위한 정보체계 구축 구현을 바탕으로 향후 부품단종 문제를 인식하고 사전 관리함으로써 장기간 운용 하는 중공업 장비 군사용 체계 운용에 있어 부품단종문제 해결뿐만 아니라 장비의 노후화로 인한 과도한 군수지원 정비 비용 지출을 줄이고 부품생산자들의 생산 정보 현상을 주기적으로 정보화 하여 Up data 함으로 미래의 부품단종을 미연에 예방함을 목적으로 한다. 산업체 및 연구기관의 개발을 보다 효율적으로 관리와 생산 장비의 부품을 선정 지원 하고 방대한 부품정보를 정보화함으로 후속 지원 정비 서비스의 질과 편리성을 확보 할 수 있다.

로트 크기 문제의 비축 효율성 알고리즘 (Stock Efficiency Algorithm for Lot Sizing Problem)

  • 로트 크기 문제(LSP)는 다항시간으로 최적 해를 찾을 수 있는 알고리즘이 알려져 있지 않은 NP-완전의 난제이다. LSP에 대해 다항시간으로 해를 구할 수 있는 W-W 알고리즘이 알려져 있지만, 이 알고리즘은 너무나 복잡하여 이해와 적용에 어려움이 있어 S-M의 휴리스틱 근사 알고리즘이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 LSP의 근사 해가 아닌 최적 해를 찾을 수 있는 간단한 공식을 가진 O(n)의 선형 복잡도 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 t시점에서의 로트 크기(생산량) Xt∗은 비축 비가 절차 비를 초과하지 않는 t+k 시점을 결정하여 [t,t+k] 구간의 요구량 합으로 단순히 결정하였다. 제안된 알고리즘을 다양한 실험 데이터에 적용한 결과 모든 데이터에 대해 최적 해를 찾았다.

  • 현대 주조산업에서는 적층제조기술과 같은 신기술을 도입하면서 과거에는 불가능했던 일들의 실현가능성을 보여주고 있다. 이미 해외에서는 적층제조기술을 활용한 중자 생산 및 적용 사례가 심심치 않게 보도되고 있으며, 정부지원 하에 고유 기술들을 개발하고 시장을 확장해 나가고 있다. 반면 국내에서는 고유장비 기술은커녕 적층제조기술의 활용조차 전무한 실정이다. 이러한 상황에서 적층제조기술의 도입과 국산화는 반드시 필요하다. 본 논문의 각 장에서는 여러가지 적층제조기술 중 접착제 분사 기술에 관련된 적층제조장비의 개발 과정에서부터 개발 장비를 활용한 산업용 중자 생산의 내용을 다루고 있으며, 실제 주조 산업의 적용 가능성에 대해서 언급하고 있다.

Relationships between Middle and High School Students' Experience of Viewing Media Sports Violence and the Imitation Behavior

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the causal relationship between the variables related to media sports violence viewing experience, negative emotion, aggression and violent imitation behavior of middle school students and high school students. The subjects of 240 middle school students and 240 high school students were surveyed for 2 months. Among the collected data, 64 samples judged to have low reliability were excluded from the analysis, and the final 416 data were used. The questionnaire used in this study consisted of four potential variables including experience of watching media sports violence, negative emotion, aggression, and violent imitation behavior. Among the sub-variables of experience of watching media sports violence, exogenous potential variables except frequency, period and time and questions that are endogenous potential variables were composed of a questionnaire of 5-point Likert scale. results of this study were analyzed using the AMOS statistical program, which was used to identify the causal relationship between watching media sports violence and negative emotion, aggression, and violent imitation behavior. There was no significant difference in violent imitation behavior according to school grade. The causal models for media sports violence viewing experience, negative emotions, aggression and violent imitation behavior were found to be appropriate. It was found that there was a significant causal relationship between the viewing experience of sports violence and the violent imitation behavior. Therefore, in order to reduce the imitation behavior of adolescents, it is necessary to be more careful about the production and viewing of sports violence programs at the institutions and homes that produce media.

Meta's Metaverse Platform Design in the Pre-launch and Ignition Life Stage

  • We look at the initial stage of Meta (previous Facebook)'s new metaverse platform and investigate its platform design in pre-launch and ignition life stage. From the Rocket Model (RM)'s theoretical logic, the results reveal that Meta firstly focuses on investing in key content developers by acquiring virtual reality (VR), video, music content firms and offering production support platform of the augmented reality (AR) content, 'Spark AR' last three years (2019~2021) for attracting high-potential developers and users. In terms of three matching criteria, Meta develops an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered translation software, partners with Microsoft (MS) for cloud computing and AI, and develops an AI platform for realistic avatar, MyoSuite. In 'connect' function, Meta curates the game concept submitted by game developers, welcomes other game and SNS based metaverse apps, and expands Horizon Worlds (HW) on VR devices to PCs and mobile devices. In 'transact' function, Meta offers 'HW Creator Funding' program for metaverse, launches the first commercialized Meta Avatar Store on Meta's conventional SNS and Messaging apps by inviting all fashion creators to design and sell clothing in this store. Mata also launches an initial test of non-fungible token (NFT) display on Instagram and expands it to Facebook in the US. Lastly, regarding optimization, especially in the face of recent data privacy issues that have adversely affected corporate key performance indicators (KPIs), Meta assures not to collect any new data and to make its privacy policy easier to understand and update its terms of service more user friendly.

A Study on Big Data Analytics Services and Standardization for Smart Manufacturing Innovation

  • Major developed countries are seriously considering smart factories to increase their manufacturing competitiveness. Smart factory is a customized factory that incorporates ICT in the entire process from product planning to design, distribution and sales. This can reduce production costs and respond flexibly to the consumer market. The smart factory converts physical signals into digital signals, connects machines, parts, factories, manufacturing processes, people, and supply chain partners in the factory to each other, and uses the collected data to enable the smart factory platform to operate intelligently. Enhancing personalized value is the key. Therefore, it can be said that the success or failure of a smart factory depends on whether big data is secured and utilized. Standardized communication and collaboration are required to smoothly acquire big data inside and outside the factory in the smart factory, and the use of big data can be maximized through big data analysis. This study examines big data analysis and standardization in smart factory. Manufacturing innovation by country, smart factory construction framework, smart factory implementation key elements, big data analysis and visualization, etc. will be reviewed first. Through this, we propose services such as big data infrastructure construction process, big data platform components, big data modeling, big data quality management components, big data standardization, and big data implementation consulting that can be suggested when building big data infrastructure in smart factories. It is expected that this proposal can be a guide for building big data infrastructure for companies that want to introduce a smart factory.
