  • The operational availability of multispectral high-resolution satellite imagery, opens up new possibilities for updating forest map. Compared with information acquired by traditional methods (Panchromatic Aerial Photo), these data of for a number of advantages. In this study used 1m spatial resolution and 4 multispectral band, which are capability to update forest map of kind of tree. From the result of this study, First, the visual analysis of the colour composites of the multispectral data made it possible to distinguish some species(conifer, broad-leaved, un-stocked, arable land). Second, forest map and orthorectiffd satellite imagery are not match in the boundary of forest, therefore work have some troubles in the modification of forest map. Third, the distinguish from age-class, girth-class and density are much need experience and skillful about sample such as aerial photo.

  • It is necessary to eliminate the broad band noise whose frequency is in the range of several kHz to tens MHz generated from the AC power line to supply the power to electrical and electronic equipments. Because this kind of noise could damage or malfunction such equipments. To suppress those noises, some conventional devices such as a filter or surge suppressor have been used. However, they can not be isolated from the common-mode noise widely spreaded in all power line, which results in poor common-mode rejection performance. In this paper, we proposed a design method of shielded isolation transformer and a jumped circuit analysis model for shielded isolation transformer applicable to filtering common-mode noise as well as normal-mode noise. The analysis model has been verified as a suitable one for shielded isolation transformer through comparison of the simulation with experiment. In addition, it has been shown that the reduction performance for conducted noise of prototype 3 kVA shielded isolation transformer is superior to a unshielded isolation transformer.

  • CIBER (Cosmic Infrared Background ExpeRiment) is a sounding-rocket borne experiment which is designed to find the evidence of the First stars (Pop.III stars) in the universe. They are expected to be formed between the recombination era at z ~ 1100 and the most distant quasar (z ~ 8). They have never been directly detected due to its faintness so far, but can be observed as a background radiation at around $1{\mu}m$ which is called the Cosmic Near-Infrared Background (CNB). The CIBER is successfully launched on July 10, 2010 at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, USA. It consists of three kinds of instruments. One of them is a LRS (Low Resolution Spectrometer) which is a refractive telescope of 5.5 cm aperture with spectral resolution of 20 ~ 30 and wavelength coverage of 0.7 to $2.0{\mu}m$ to measure the spectrum of the CNB. Since LRS detects not only CNB but also stellar components, we can study their spectral features with the broad band advantage especially at around $1{\mu}m$ which is difficult at ground observations because of the atmospheric absorption by water vapor. I identified around 300 stars from observed six fields. If we can classify their spectral types with SED fitting, we can study their physical conditions of the stellar atmosphere as well as making a stellar catalogue of continuous stellar spectrum.

  • The initial NiCuZn synthetic ferrite were acquired from thermally decomposing the metal nitrates $Fe(NO_3)_39H_2O, Zn(NO_3)_26H_2O, Ni(NO_3)_26H_2O, and Cu(NO_3)_23H_2O$ at $150^circ{C}$ for 24 hours, and then we calcined the synthetic powder at $500^circ{C}$, pulverized each of those for 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15 hours in a steel ball mill, sintered each at $700^circ{C}$ to $1,000^circ{C}$ for 1 hour, and thus studied their microstructures and electromagnetic properties. We could make the initial specimens chemically bonded in liquidity at a low-temperature $150^circ{C}$, by using the low melting points less than $200^circ{C}$ of the metal nitrates instead of the mechanical ball-mill pulverization, then narrow a distance between the particles into a molecular one, and thus lower the reaction point of sintering by at least $200^circ{C}$ to $300^circ{C}$. Their initial permeability was 50 to 400 and their maximum magnetic induction density and coercive force, 2,400 G and 0.3 Oe to 0.5 Oe respectively, which was similar to those of NiZnCu ferrite synthesized in the conventional process. In the graph of initial permeability by frequencies, a $180^circ{C}$ rotation of the magnetic domains which appears in a broad band of micro-wave before and after the resonance frequency, could be perceived.

  • In this paper, we propose a new EBG structure that the two unit cells are connected by the bridge line in signal transmission plane. The SSN of the power plane is reduced effectively by via holes and bridge lines connecting the unit cells. The superior signal transfer characteristic is shown between the signal lines in the signal transmission plane. The proposed EBG structure contains 1.2 GHz cut-off frequency and less than -30 dB suppression in the 8.3 GHz broad bandwidth. In addition, To improve the SI(Signal Integrity) in signal transmission plane keeping the same bandstop frequency range, the optimized location of the reference plane is proposed.

  • This paper proposes a novel LDPC code decoder architecture to improve throughput for DVB-S2, a second generation standard of ETSI for satellite broad-band applications. The proposed architecture clusters 360 bitnodes and checknodes into groups utilizing the property of IRA-LDPC code. Functional modules which perform calculations for bitnode groups and checknode groups have local memories and store the messages from the other type of functional modules connected by edges at their local memories. The proposed architecture can avoid memory conflicts by accessing stored messages sequentially, hence, increases throughput in the proposed DVB-S2 LDPC code decoder architecture. The proposed architecture was synthesized using the TSMC 90nm technology. Synthesis results show that throughput of the proposed architecture is improved by 104% and 478%, respectively, when compared with those of the architectures proposed by F. Kienle and J. Dielissen.

  • To separate the CM and DM noise in the EMI generated in various electrical electronic systems, passive and active separators have been researched. These separators are an important part of an effective active EMI-filter. The passive separator has some advantages, in that it is easy to realize at a low price and its structure is very simple. However, its major drawback is that its accurate inductor realization and accurate core selection are very difficult. The active separator is smaller in size and more accurate, but its main drawback is that an op-amp which has a broad band frequency response is necessary, its cost is high, and a DC power circuit is required. This paper compares the characteristics of EMI filters which apply the existing passive separator and proposed active separator. It was concluded that an active separator is needed for expensive and accurate equipment, whereas a passive separator is sufficient for inexpensive and general purpose EMI filters.

  • $Er^{3+}$ ion shows a stable and efficient luminescence at 1.54mm due to its $^4I_{13/2}\;{\rightarrow}\;^4I_{15/2}$ intra-4f transition. As this corresponds to the low-loss window of silica-based optical fibers, Er-based light sources have become a mainstay of the long-distance telecom. In most telecom applications, $Er^{3+}$ ions are excited via resonant optical pumping. However, if nanocluster-Si (nc-Si) are co-doped with $Er^{3+}$, $Er^{3+}$ can be excited via energy transfer from excited electrical carriers in the nc-Si as well. This combines the broad, strong absorption band of nc-Si with narrow, stable emission spectra of $Er^{3+}$ to allow top-pumping with off-resonant, low-cost broadband light sources as well as electrical pumping. A widely used method to achieve nc-Si sensitization of $Er^{3+}$ is high-temperature annealing of Er-doped, non-stoichiometric amorphous thin film with excess Si (e.g.,silicon-rich silicon oxide(SRSO)) to precipitate nc-Si and optically activate $Er^{3+}$ at the same time. Unfortunately, such precipitation and growth of nc-Si into Er-doped oxide matrix can lead to $Er^{3+}$ clustering away from nc-Si at anneal temperatures much lower than ${\sim}1000^{\circ}C$ that is necessary for full optical activation of $Er^{3+}$ in $SiO_2$. Recently, silicon-rich silicon nitride (SRSN) was reported to be a promising alternative to SRSO that can overcome this problem of Er clustering. But as nc-Si formation and optical activation $Er^{3+}$ remain linked in Er-doped SRSN, it is not clear which mechanism is responsible for the observed improvement. In this paper, we report on investigating the effect of separating the nc-Si formation and $Er^{3+}$ activation by using hetero-multilayers that consist of nm-thin SRSO or SRSN sensitizing layers with Er-doped $SiO_2$ or $Si_3N_4$ luminescing layers.
