Impact of Economic Value in the O2O Distribution Channel on Brand Attractiveness and Performance

  • Purpose: With the unique feature of O2O, consumers are now able to check the profile of the services and products online and then consume them in offline venues or vice versa. This study provides motivation and practical implications about online-to-offline (O2O) distribution channels and investigates the relationship between economic values, service consistency and brand identity attractiveness in the O2O distribution channel. Then identify the impact of brand identity attractiveness on the performance (reputation and reuse intention). Research design, data, and methodology: Structural equation modeling (SEM) has been used to investigate the relationship between economic value and brand identity attractiveness, which affects the reputation and reuse intention of services in O2O. Results: Empirical results show the positive and significant impact of economic value and service consistency on brand identity attractiveness which results the positive and significant impact on performance (reputation and reuse intention) in O2O. Conclusion: In the O2O distribution channel, economic value is an important aspect for the attractive image and brand identity. On the other side, brand identity attractiveness is important for the bright future of O2O services, continuous growth, achieving the distinct goal, keeping good promises with customers, and a better reputation of O2O services in distribution channels.

Edge-Preserving and Adaptive Transmission Estimation for Effective Single Image Haze Removal

  • This paper presents an effective single image haze removal using edge-preserving and adaptive transmission estimation to enhance the visibility of outdoor images vulnerable to weather and environmental conditions with computational complexity reduction. The conventional methods involve the time-consuming refinement process. The proposed transmission estimation however does not require the refinement, since it preserves the edges effectively, which selects one between the pixel-based dark channel and the patch-based dark channel in the vicinity of edges. Moreover, we propose an adaptive transmission estimation to improve the visual quality particularly in bright areas like sky. Experimental results with various hazy images represent that the proposed method is superior to the conventional methods in both subjective visual quality and computational complexity. The proposed method can be adopted to compose a haze removal module for realtime devices such as mobile devices, digital cameras, autonomous vehicles, and so on as well as PCs that have enough processing resources.

A bright star catalog observed by FIMS/SPEAR

  • FIMS/SPEAR is a dual-channel far-ultraviolet imaging spectrograph on board the Korean microsatellite STSAT-1, which was launched on 2003 September 27. While the instrument is optimized for the observation of diffuse emissions, it was able to observe a number of bright stars without much contamination from the diffuse background or other faint stars. In this paper, we present a catalog of the far-ultraviolet spectra for 543 stars observed by FIMS/SPEAR during its mission lifetime of a year and a half, covering over the 80% of the sky. Of these, 296 stars were also observed by the International Ultraviolet Explorer (IUE), which covered a wide spectral band including the FIMS wavelength band (1370--1710 A). The stellar spectral types involved in the catalog span from B0 to A3. We compare the new spectra with those of IUE when they are available, and discuss some examples. We also revised the effective area of FIMS that the FIMS stellar spectra are consistent with the IUE spectra.

Effects of the Net Contrast of a Model Codend on the Escapement of Juvenile Red Seabream Pagrus major

  • Visual stimuli of nets, which affect fishing selectivity, vary by twine diameter, color, and material under different light conditions and visual geometries. In this study, two cylindrical model codends of two mesh sizes, 28 and 43 mm, were made of high-contrast, dark brown polyethylene (PE) netting twine and low contrast, light-blue polyamid (PA) monofilament twine. Each model codend was filled with juvenile seabream and set in the water channel of a light-blue circular tank under a flow speed 0.8 m/s for 30 min. Light conditions were set to relatively bright, dim, and dark. The resulting retention rates of juvenile seabream were 15-35% lower for the low-contrast codend with PA monofilament than for the high contrast PE twine netting under bright and dim light conditions, while no difference was observed under dark conditions. The effects of mesh size and netting contrast on the retention rate were dependent on the light level, while the retention rate due to netting contrast was independent of mesh size. Therefore, low-contrast nets in the codend could help to reduce juvenile bycatch by disturbing the orderly optomotor response.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest that activities consisting of sympathy and gratitude are the way to healing. In our team's Hope World (希望世上), we changed the lyrics of GunbamTaryeong, which Koreans know the most, to create a healing Taryeong. The iterative refrain changed to "It's nice, it's hope, it's a good world for everyone." "The Wind Blows, Spring Has Come, The Moon Is Bright" will be the beginning of each chapter in GunbamTaryeong. It looks like a bright lyric, but it also shows both sides. All members participated in changing the lyrics, harmonizing the lyrics and rhythm, preparing props, playing musical instruments, and exciting performances. Therefore, it can be said that it is the story of healing where everyone is together. The song of Hope World is a real Taryeong that heals those who plan together, sing together, play musical instruments together. It's a "hope-Taryeong (希望打令)" who dreams of a "everyone good world." It's a Taryeong that lingers in my mouth and comes to mind. In this way, activities consisting of mutual cooperation and love doubled gratitude and sympathy for each other, and we think healing was achieved in the process. In this study, we suggest that sympathy and gratitude are perhaps the first steps towards healing. The Hope World Song (希望世上歌) is available on our channel YouTube (https://youtu.be/hgPiD4g2-iM).

Adaptive White Point Extraction based on Dark Channel Prior for Automatic White Balance

  • This paper presents a novel automatic white balance (AWB) algorithm for consumer imaging devices. While existing AWB methods require reference white patches to correct color, the proposed method performs the AWB function using only an input image in two steps: i) white point detection, and ii) color constancy gain computation. Based on the dark channel prior assumption, a white point or region can be accurately extracted, because the intensity of a sufficiently bright achromatic region is higher than that of other regions in all color channels. In order to finally correct the color, the proposed method computes color constancy gain values based on the Y component in the XYZ color space. Experimental results show that the proposed method gives better color-corrected images than recent existing methods. Moreover, the proposed method is suitable for real-time implementation, since it does not need a frame memory for iterative optimization. As a result, it can be applied to various consumer imaging devices, including mobile phone cameras, compact digital cameras, and computational cameras with coded color.

  • In this paper, a new adaptive image processing method based on human visual system has been presented. The basic idea behind the proposed method is to improve the efficiency of the information transfer channel regionally by manipulating the displayed image in order to compensate the regional inefficiency of the information transfer channel. The proposed method consists of two parts; the first part reallocates pixel values corresponding to high X-ray attenuation to that of more intense X-ray exposure by multiplying the pixel values with the local adaptive multiplcation factor, and the second part adjusts the pixel values of dark area of displayed image such as overexposed lung area to be more bright. The processed image with the proposed method shows significantly increased visibility of mediastinal and subdiaphramatic area, and also the lung area of over exposed case without any artifact.

Single Image Fog Removal based on JBDC and Pixel-based Transmission Estimation

  • In this paper, we present an effective single image fog removal by using the Joint Bright and Dark Channel (JBDC) and pixel-based transmission estimation to enhance the visibility of outdoor images susceptible to degradation due to weather and environmental conditions. The conventional methods include refinement process of coarse transmission with heavy computational complexity. The proposed transmission estimation reveals excellent edge-preserving performance and does not require the refinement process. We estimate the atmospheric light in pixel-based fashion, which can improve the transmission estimation performance and visual quality of the restored image. Moreover, we propose an adaptive transmission estimation to enhance the visual quality specifically in sky regions. Comprehensive experiments on various fog images show that the proposed method exhibits reduced computational complexity and excellent fog removal performance, compared with the existing methods; thus, it can be applied to various fields including real-time devices.

국내 무역항 항로의 등부표 시인거리와 배치에 관한 이용자 분석 (The User Analysis for Visual Range and Arrangement of Light-buoy on the Channel of the Domestic Trade-port)

  • 본 논문에서는 국내 무역항 항로에 배치되는 등부표의 최적 배치에 대한 기준을 설정하기 위한 기초자료로서 항해자들을 대상으로 등부표의 시인거리와 배치에 대한 선호를 분석하였다. 무역항의 각 규모를 감안하여 항만별로 약 $30{\sim}150$부의 설문지를 배포하였고, 총 356부의 유효한 설문지가 분석에 사용되었다. 육안으로 청명한 날씨의 주간에 부표를 인지하는 거리는 $2{\sim}4$마일이 55.0%로 가장 많았다. 부표의 배치방식에서는 양측 부표방식의 선호가 62.1%로써 가장 높았다 또한 부표의 전후사이의 선호 간격은 평균 1.09마일이었다 쌍안경 없이 시인할 수 있는 부표의 기수는 2기가 40.6%로 가장 선호되었다.

수상관의 밝기 및 해상도를 고려한 기준 백색 설정 (Reference white setting based on brightness of CPT and resolution)

  • 칼러 텔레비젼에서 기준 백색은 CPT(color picture tube)의 RGB 세 빔 전류를 조절함으로써 설정되며, 이들 빔 전류비는 RGB 비디오 증폭기의 이득비를 조정함으로써 조절된다. 일반적으로 전자총의 빔 전류 밀도 프로파일은 가우스 분포를 가지며, RGB 각 채널 증폭기의 이득과 대역폭의 곱은 일정하다. 따라서 스크린상의 밝기와 공간 해상도는 수상기의 기준 백색 설정에 따라 달라진다. 본 논문에서는 칼라 텔레비젼의 기준 백색 설정시에 RGB 전류비가 밝기에 미치는 영향과 비디오 증폭기의 이득 및 전류 밀도 분포에 따른 영상 경계 부분에서의 열화 정도를 이론적으로 해석하였다. 해석 결과 기준 백색의 색 온도 증가에 따라 Helmholtz-Kohlrausch 현상에 의해 밝기가 증가하고, RGB 증폭기의 이득비 편차가 작을수록 스크린상의 공간 밝기 분포의 상승거리는 감소하는 경향이 있음을 밝혔다. 또한 본 해석에 근거하여 P22 형광체에 대하여 더 밝으면서도 해상도를 높일 수 있는 기준 백색의 설정 가능한 범위를 제시하였다.
