Recently in Korea, efforts are underway to enhance smart construction by implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) comprehensively across all sectors of the construction industry. This study focused on the adoption of BIM for prefab bridges currently executed in the industry and It examined the process of creating a BIM-based prefab bridge model that can support production. Additionally, it explored how prefab products made by manufacturers can be integrated with road alignments using BIM technology and how the DfMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) approach, which supports production based on designed information, can be adopted. The process of creating the prefab bridge model aims to shorten production time, reduce costs, and enhance quality by leveraging digital information related to design and manufacturing within the BIM framework

The rahmen bridge is well known common type of bridge in which all members are connected rigidly. The rahmen bridge is built for several situations because it has many advantages such as no need of bridge bearing system, easy of maintenance, reduction of the cross-sectional area of superstructure, and relatively low construction cost compared with other bridge types. Recently, to lengthen the span of rahmen bridge system, steel-concrete composite beam is used for superstructure of rahmen bridge instead of normal concrete girder with slab. However, member forces are increased because of extension of span length of superstructure and substructure is designed and constructed inefficiently when steel-concrete composite rahmen bridge is designed. In this study, new-type steel-concrete composite bridge is suggested. New-type steel-concrete composite rahmen bridge is adopted hinge connection between abutment and foundation for the reduction of the bending momemt at the foundation. In this study, we present the results of experiment conducted to estimate the load carrying capacity of new-type steel-concrete composite rahmen bridge and the structural characteristics of hinge connection.

In this paper, a limit state model based on the analysis of structural behavior of segmental prestressed concrete box girder bridges and reliability-based safety assessment method are proposed for the bridges erected by free cantilever method. Strength limit state models for prestressed concrete box girder and rigid-frame type columns are developed for a structural safety assessment during construction. Based on the proposed limit state models, the reliability of the bridge is evaluated by using the Advanced First Order Second Moment method. The proposed model and method are applied to the Seo-Hae Grand Bridge built by FCM in order to verify its effectiveness in the safety assessment during construction of the kind of bridges. The sensitivity analyses of the main parameters are also performed in order to identify the important factors that need to be controlled for the safety of the bridges during construction.

The purpose of this study was the analytical safety evaluation on the super-structure of precast modular bridge using standardized modular members and robotic construction during the transportation routing and lifting conditions. In order to evaluate the safety performance of the bridge system, 3-D full scale Finite Element (FE) of 40 m standardized modular block was developed in ABAQUS, followed by the analytical study to classify the structural system according to steel girder structures: 1) modular bridge block lifting method including the steel girder system; 2) modular bridge block lifting method without the steel girder system. The results from the analytical study revealed that the maximum stress of each modular member was within the maximum allowable stresses during lifting condition. However, the stress concentration at the connected area was more critical in comparison to the behavior of 40 m combined modular blocks during lifting time
In the present study, a new seismic retrofitting method that employs both a stainless steel wire mesh and a permeable polymer concrete mortar was proposed for reinforced concrete bridge piers with nonseismic design details. For this purpose, a total of six nonseismically designed bridge piers were tested under lateral load reversals. The test results reveal that nonseismically designed piers with lap splices need to be retrofitted to resist earthquake induced forces. In addition, it was proven that the proposed retrofitting method can be useful in improving the strength, stiffness, and energy dissipation capacities of bridge piers designed nonseismically. It is thus expected that the proposed method may provide an improved ductility capacity without sudden softening of strength for bridge piers excursing inelastic displacement range.

In nowdays many dental CAD/CAM system were developed. Among those only Cerec and Celay were used globally as clinical application. Celay is a machinable ceramic system that is capable of milling inlays, onlays, and veneers from prefabricated industrial ceramic blocks(Vita Celay Blanks). The advatages of Celay are to simplify the manufactures and to save the processing time. For esthetics In-Ceram Alumina bridges were introduced into maxillary anterior restoration. They have a high strength, a high translucency and an excellent marginal adapation. But the laboratory processes are very difficult and complicated. So the construction of In-Ceram Alumina bridge combined with celay system was desgined. The patient is a 28 year old age male. The chief complain is missing of maxillary left central incisor. He wants to restore anterior bridge for esthetically. The Alumina bridge framework was constructed easily by celay system. Glass ilfiltration was occurred. After that, vitadura-${\alpha}$porcelain build up was occurred by conventional method. The translucency of In-Ceram Alumina 3 unit bridge revealed to be superior to that of porcelain fused to metal bridge. So we report it with clincal case and literature reviews.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of existing bridge foundation reinforced by battered micropiles. In order to do numerical method using a Finite element program was used to predict the micropile behavior and quantify their reinforcing effect to existing bridge foundations. In addition, effect of battered micropiles on existing foundations was compared with vertically reinforced bridge foundations. Based on the study performed, it was found that the use of battered micropile is more efficiently reducing displacement of existing foundation than vertically installed micropiles under vertical and horizontal loadings respectively. The batter angle of micropile was also found effective about $15^{\circ}\sim20^{\circ}$ to reduce the vortical displacement. The horizontal reinforcement effect is continuously larger with an increase in batter angle. So, it is believed that the results presented could give an idea to enhance in-service performance of existing bridge foundations reinforced by micropiles.
The hinge joint is the key to the overall cooperative working performance of the assembled beam bridge, and it is also the weakest part during the service period. This paper proposes a method for monitoring and evaluating the lateral cooperative working performance of fabricated beam bridges based on dynamic strain correlation coefficient indicator. This method is suitable for monitoring and evaluation of hinge joints status between prefabricated girders and overall cooperative working performance of bridge, without interruption of traffic and easy implementation. The remote cloud monitoring and diagnosis system was designed and implemented on a real assembled beam bridge. The algorithms of data preprocessing, online indicator extraction and status diagnosis were given, and the corresponding software platform and scientific computing environment for cloud operation were developed. Through the analysis of real bridge monitoring data, the effectiveness and accuracy of the method are proved and it can be used in the health monitoring system of such bridges.
The behavior of composite materials bridge decks for use in deteriorated bridge decks replacement are investigated experimentally in this study. As for the performance evaluation of bridge decks, experimental studies on the 5 test specimens with 1/10 scale of full size were carried out. Three specimens were fabricated from sandwich upper flange and two specimens were fabricated from laminated upper flange. The constituents of bridge decks were glass fiber performs and epoxy resin. The experimental results, i.e., the maximum strength stiffness, stiffness, and deformation capacity, were summarized. The results of the finite element analysis were compared with the experimental results for the verification of validity.
The Dongting Lake Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Dongting Lake where it meets the Yangtze River in southern central China. Several intensive wind-rain induced vibrations had been observed since its open to traffic in 1999. To investigate the possibility of using MR damping systems to reduce cable vibration, a series of field tests were conducted. Based on the promising research results, MR damping system was installed on the longest 156 stay cables of Dongting Lake Bridge in June 2002, making it the worlds first application of MR dampers on cable-stayed bridge to suppress the wind-rain induced cable vibration. As a visible and permanent aspect of the bridge, the MR damping system must be aesthetically pleasing, reliable, durable, easy to maintain, as well as effective in vibration mitigation. Substantial work was done to meet these requirements. This paper describes field tests and the implementation of MR damping systems for cable vibration reduction. Three-years reliable service of this system proves its durability.
