산화막의 질화, 재산화에 의한 계면트랩밀도 특성 변화 (Characteristics Variation of Oxide Interface Trap Density by Themal Nitridation and Reoxidation)

  • 70 ${\AA}$-thick oxides nitridied at various conditions were reoxidized at pemperatures of 900$^{\circ}C$ in dry-O$_2$ ambients for 5~40 mininutes. The gate oxide interface porperties as well as the oxide substrate interface properties of MOS(Metal Oxide Semiconductor) capacitors with various nitridation conditions, reoxidation conditions and pure oxidation condition were investigated. We stuided I$\sub$g/-V$\sub$g/ characteristics, $\Delta$V$\sub$g/ shift under constant current stress from electrical characteristics point of view and breakdown voltage from leakage current point of view of MOS capacitors with SiO$_2$, NO, RNO dielectrics. Overall, our experimental results show that reoxidized nitrided oxides show inproved charge trapping porperites, I$\sub$g/-V$\sub$g/ characteristics and gate $\Delta$V$\sub$g/ shift. It has also been shown that reoxidized nitridied oxide's leakage currented voltage is better than pure oxide's or nitrided oxide's from leakage current(1${\mu}$A) point of view.

  • SVL is installed at underground transmission system to protect cables and insulation joint-box from overvoltages caused by lightning, switching, and line-to-ground fault. Domestic underground power system adopts cross bonding type to reduce the induced voltage at sheath, but single-point bonding is required depending the system installation configuration. SVL can be easily broken by overvoltages induced at joint-box because single-point bonding has uneffective system structure to extract fault current. ANSI/IEEE recommends Parallel Ground Continuity Conductor(PGCC) to prevent SVL breakdown. In this paper, EMTP simulation is performed to analyze effects on SVL under PGCC installation when single-line-to-ground fault occurs. The result shows that PGCC and short single-point bonding distance can reduce overvoltages at SVL.

  • We introduce a new robust regression estimator, self-tuning regression estimator. Various robust estimators have been developed with discovery for theories and applications since Huber introduced M-estimator at 1960's. We start by announcing various robust estimators and their properties, including their advantages and disadvantages, and furthermore, new estimator overcomes drawbacks of other robust regression estimators, such as ineffective computation on preserving robustness properties.

  • This paper describes the influence of the electrode materials, moisture content, electrolyte density, temperature, surface state, ion absorbent on the C.T.I of phenolic resin by the I.E,C, 112 method. C.T.I are increased for electrode materials with low hydrogen overvoltage and high soluble point. Increusing moisture content of samples increased by logarithmical on the droplet number to tracking breakdown. Increasing electrolyte temperature region above 70-80(.deg.C) decreased hydrogen over-voltage, following the density changes are decreased by C.T.I=1/aD$^{2}$-bD+C.

Investigations on Eco Friendly Insulating Fluids from Rapeseed and Pongamia Pinnata Oils for Power Transformer Applications

  • Transformer mineral oil which is normally hydrocarbon based is non- biodegradable and pollutes the environment in all aspects. Though vegetable oils are eco-friendly in nature and potentially could be used in transformers as a replacement for the mineral oil, there usage is restricted because of their oxidative instability. The present work focuses on using rapeseed oil and pongamia (pongamia pinnata) oil as effective alternatives for the traditional mineral oil in power transformer. The oxidative stability of the rapeseed oil and pongamia oil is increased by using combinations of the natural and synthetic anti-oxidants as additives. The parameters like breakdown voltage, viscosity, flash point, fire point are measured for the rapeseed oil and pongamia oil with and without the additives as per IEC and ASTM standards. The results shown encouraging changes in the parameter values and ensures the use of the oils as a potential alternative insulation in power transformers.

시뮬레이션을 통한 다양한 로버스트 회귀추정량의 비교 연구 (A comparison study of various robust regression estimators using simulation)

  • 회귀모형의 대표적인 추정법인 최소제곱법은 오차항의 분포가 정규분포를 따르고 이상치가 없는 상황에서는 최적이지만, 자료가 회귀모형의 가정을 만족하지 않을 경우 또는 이상치를 포함하는 경우와 같이 자료가 오염된 상황에서는 왜곡된 추정 결과를 준다. 따라서 이상치에 민감한 최소제곱법의 단점을 보완하기 위해 다양한 로버스트 추정방법이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 MLE를 기반으로 제안된 M 추정량, 순서형 통계량을 기반으로 제안된 L 추정량, 잔차의 순위를 기반으로 제안된 R 추정량 계열에서 높은 붕괴점 또는 높은 효율을 갖는 대표적인 추정량들을 다양한 모의실험을 통해 비교 연구하였다. 추정량의 성능을 비교하는데 효율성 뿐만 아니라 편의, 분산을 포함한 분포를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 실제 데이터 적용에는 MM 추정량과 GR 추정량이 좋은 성능을 가진 것으로 보였다.

  • PbTiO$_{3}$-PbZrO$_{3}$-Pb(Ni$_{1}$3/Nb $_{2}$3/O$_{3}$)(PZT-PNN) thin films were prepared from corresponding metal organics partially stabilized with diethanolamine by the sol-gel spin coating method. Each mol rates of PT:PZ:PNN solutions were #1(50:40:10), #2(50:30:20), #3(45:35:20) and #4(40:40:20), respectively. The spin-coated PZT-PNN films were sintered at the temperature from 500.deg. C to 600.deg. C for crystallization. The P-E hysteresis curve was drawn by Sawyer-Tower circuit with PZT-PNN film. The coercive field and the remanent polarization of #4(40:40:20 mol%) PZT-PNN film were 28.8 kV/cm and 18.3 .mu.C/cm$^{2}$, respectively. Their dielectric constants were shown between 128 and 1120, and became maximum value in MPB(40:40:20 mol%). The leakage currents of PZT-PNN films were about 9.4x 10$^{-8}$ A/cm$^{2}$, and the breakdown voltages were about 0.14 and 1.1 MV/cm. The Curie point of #3(45:35:20 mol%, sintered at 600.deg. C) film was 330.deg. C.

Formation of surface mediated iron colloids during U(VI) and nZVI interaction

  • We investigated that removal of aqueous U(VI) by nano-sized Zero Valent Iron (nZVI) and Fe(II) bearing minerals (controls) in this study. Iron particles showed different U(VI) removal efficiencies (Mackinawite: 99%, green rust: 95%, nZVI: 91%, magnetite: 87%, pyrite: 59%) due to their different PZC (Point of Zero Charge) values and surface areas. In addition, noticeable amount of surface Fe(II) (181 ${\mu}M$) was released from nZVI suspension in 6 h and it increased to 384 ${\mu}M$ in the presence of U(VI) due to ion-exchange of U(VI) with Fe(II) on nZVI surface. Analysis of Laser-Induced Breakdown Detection (LIBD) showed that breakdown probabilities in both filtrates by 20 and 200 nm sizes was almost 24% in nZVI suspension with U(VI), while 1% of the probabilities were observed in nZVI suspension without U(VI). It indicated that Fe(II) colloids in the range under 20 nm were generated during the interaction of U(VI) and nZVI. Our results suggest that Fe(II) colloids generated via ion-exchange process should be carefully concerned during long-term remediation site contaminated by U(VI) because U could be transported to remote area through the adsorption on Fe(II) colloids.

피뢰기를 고려한 자가용 전기설비 인입선로의 직류누설전류시험에 관한 연구 (A Study on the DC Leakage Current Test for Power Cable of Private Electrical Facilities considering Lightning Arrester)

  • Private electrical facilities are judged whether it is suitable for the insulation aging condition of their incoming underground cables using DC leakage current test method. In the case where the service point of utility is the secondary side of cut out switch installed in the electric pole, there is a problem that it is difficult to separate the lightning arresters(LA) because of their high position of the pole. Therefore, the field test voltage is applied at value lower than DC 30 kV, which are stated in the inspection guideline. However, this test could reduced the insulation performance of the LA by accelerating the electrical stress of the metal oxide varistor element in the pre-breakdown region. In this study, we analyzed the relationship between the DC test voltage and the leakage current using the non-destructive DC high voltage equipment with leakage current measurement function. The results show that the leakage current increases sharply above the specified test voltage. As a consequence, it could be contributed to improve insulation aging inspection method by selecting the possible test area on the VI characteristic curve of the pre-breakdown area of the LA.
