  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of consumers' perceived brand benefits toward brand coffee shops on continuous purchase intentions as well as the mediating effect of brand trust. The survey was conducted on coffee consumers aged 20~40 years living in Seoul and who visited brand coffee shops exposed as product placement (PPL) in TV dramas. Out of 400 questionnaires distributed to consumers, 381 questionnaires (95.3%) were analyzed. Consumers were more interested in places (60.1%) than the products (39.9%) of the coffee shops exposed as PPL. Over half (54.6%) of the respondents showed a positive attitude towards coffee shop PPLs. All three brand benefits perceived by consumers (functional, symbolic, and empirical) had significant positive effects on brand trust and continuous purchase intention. In particular, symbolic benefit has the greatest impact on continuous purchase intention towards the brand. Brand trust had a mediating effect between perceived brand benefits and continuous purchase intentions. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on enhancing the perceived symbolic benefit of the brand to effectively maintain customer relationships. The results suggest that when planning positioning concepts, considering the importance of brand benefits is the best way to increase the competitiveness of coffee shop brands.

  • This study aims to analyze how to increase the brand loyalty of BPJS Healthcare participants who are Muslim in Indonesia by increasing customer engagement and brand trust. This study is based on the premise that effective customer engagement is the first step toward gaining brand trust and loyalty. The five dimensions of customer engagement, namely enthusiasm, attention, absorption, interaction, and identification, were tested on how they affect brand trust and brand loyalty. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 216 Muslim respondents who were BPJS Health users from six Islamic hospitals in Central Java, Indonesia. Data analysis was performed using a regression test with SPSS. The results showed that the dimensions of customer engagement consisting of enthusiasm, attention, and absorption had a significant effect on brand trust. Meanwhile, the dimensions of customer engagement which consist of interaction and identification, do not affect brand trust. Furthermore, brand loyalty can be influenced by enthusiasm, interaction, and brand trust. Meanwhile, attention, absorption, and identification cannot affect brand loyalty. Thus, the dimensions of customer engagement that can directly affect brand loyalty are enthusiasm and interaction, while those that affect indirectly (through brand trust), are enthusiasm, attention, and absorption.

  • This study examines the effect of brand personality on consumer's attitude. Previous research has suggested that the greater the congruity between consumer personalities and brand personalities, the greater the preference for the brand. However, empirical explorations of this hypothesis revealed that the congruity between consumer personalities and brand personalities is limitedly related, if ever, to the preference for the brand. It is partly because of the views of the previous researchers who considered human personality as a uni-dimensional concept, and partly because of the lack of consensus regarding what brand personality really is. This study examines the relative effect of brand personality on company image. In this study, brand personality is represented by the 'Big Five' factors - Sincerity, Excitement, Competence, Sophistication and Ruggedness - which were suggested by Jennifer Aaker.

  • Current brand strategies applied for name brand apartments seem to have no product differentiation but merely function as a convenient instrument for product image change through naming only. Since proliferating brand names don't have much relevance to their brand concepts at present, long-range brand strategies are definitely needed. We'll inquire, first, the success and failure cases in the brand strategies of other industry. Next, through questionnaire survey, we'll look into the brand concepts of construction firms and their customer satisfaction. Finally we'll present the necessity of indigenous brand culture by use of macroscopic contents development.

Participants rated a set of three brands: Apple, Starbuck, and Nike. Each participant rated the extent to which the items described his or her authenticity with the brands listed, the equity of the brands listed, and feelings of satisfaction toward the brands. This study employs confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The results indicate that 1) brand authenticity positively relates to brand equity, and 2) brand authenticity effects to customer satisfaction. The findings suggest that marketers can use the brand authenticity for assessment, planning, and tracking purposes to understand the authenticity of their brands for their customers. Products of authenticity brand are better liked, viewed as higher quality, offer greater value and are more likely to be purchased than less authenticity brand. They can command a significant price premium. The findings provide useful support and evidence for brand management, as well as companies in other developing countries, to engage more in brand practices as a core element of their strategic and brand management. This means that managers should work to increase perceptions of authenticity for their offerings.

  • We can divide brand experience in the brand community of online blog into the following five types: sensuous experience, emotional experience, cognitive experience, behavioral experience, and relational experience. And this study is aimed at looking into what differences are among the effects those five have on the consumer-brand relationship. Also we wanted to analyse empirically what structural relations this consumer-brand relationship through the whole experience has with brand attachment and brand commitment. The outcome shows that emotional experience, cognitive experience and relational experience affect the consumer-brand relationship but sensuous experience and behavioral experience. And our analysis of what structural relations the consumer-brand relationship through brand experience has with brand attachment and brand commitment revealed that the consumer-brand relationship through brand experience has a direct effect on brand attachment but it doesn't have on brand commitment. Brand commitment was confirmed to be affected only through brand attachment. Finally, this is in agreement with the result of the precedent study that brand commitment is an effect variable of brand attachment.
