운동이 유전자 조절물질에 미치는 영향에 관한 고찰 (A Review : On Exercise Performance Induction Gene Factors Change)

  • The purpose of study to phenomenological examine and the mechanism regarding the gene(DNA, RNA, Protein) and sports to studied, analyzed. and evaluated. This review considers the evidence for genetic effects in several determinants of endurance performance and resistance performance, namely: body measurements and physique, body fat pulmonary functions, cardiac and circulatory functions, muscle characteristics. substrate utilization, maximal aerobic power and other. Moreover, the response to aerobic training of indicators aerobic work metabolism and endurance performance is reviewed, with emphasis on the specificity of the response and the individual differences observed in training ability. This study indicate that improvement of 'Enhancer Action' in RNA genes changed by exercise or sports. Moreover exercise was effect on Central Dogma with DNA makes RNA makes Protein. and think that occurred with exercise influence on skeletal muscle into cell have to Myosin Heavy Chain (MHC) changed was after exercise performance, which accompanied into skeletal muscle that were exercise-induces gene-modulation that is, take gene mutations. This study known that existed hormone(epinephrine)-immune system with interaction. Exercise were altered insulin binding and MAP Kinase signaling increased into immune cells. This review suggested that the high rate of glutamine utilization by cells of the immune system serves to maintain a high intra cellular concentration of the intermediates of biosynthetic pathways such that optimal rates of DNA, RNA and protein synthesis can be maintained. In the absence of glutamine, lymphocytes do not proliferate in vitro: proliferation increase greatly as the glutamine concentration increase. Glutamine is synthesized in skeletal muscle. Skeletal muscle and plasma glutamine levels are lowered by sepsis, injury, bums, surgery and endurance exercise and in the overtrained athlete. The study of result show that production of ET-1 is markedly increased tissue specifically in the heart by exercise without appreciable changes in endothelin-converting enzyme and endothelial receptor expressions, suggest that myocardial ET-1 may participate in modulation of cardiac function during exercise. Conclusionally, this study indicate that improvement of 'Enhancer Action' in RNA genes changed by exercise or sports. Moreover exercise was effect on Central Dogma with DNA makes RNA makes Protein. This study is expected to contribute the area of sports science, medicine, hereafter more effort is required to establish the relation between gene alters and exercise amount.

린코마이신과 남은 음식물의 첨가.급여가 육계의 생산성 및 혈액의 성상에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Dietary Supplemental Lincomycin and Food Waste on Performance and Blood Components of Broiler Chicks)

  • These studies were conducted to investigate the effect of dietary supplemental lincomycin at different food waste supplements on performance and blood components of broiler chicks. Diets were based corn, soybean meal and contained 3,100㎉/kg ME, 21% CP for the rest two weeks. Three levels of dietary lincomycin(LM ; 0, 2.2, 4.4 mg/kg) and food waste(FW : 0, 7.5, 15%) were added for both experiments. Weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion ratio(FCR) were measured for five weeks. Blood components, liver weight and abdominal fat ratio to body weight were examined at the end of experiment. Metabolizable energy of food waste used in formulating diet prior to feeding trials were measured 2,504(Expt 1) and 2,734㎉/kg(Expt 2), respectively. In Expt 1, weight gain of birds fed 4.4mg/kg LM was significantly higher than that of no LM treatment(P〈0.05). It also tended to increase in 7.5% food waste treatment compared to that of control but was not significantly different. FCR of chicks fed 2.2mg/kg LM supplement was significantly improved compared to that of other treatments. However, chicks fed food waste supplements had higher FCR than control as a dietary FW level increased(P〈0.05). There were no significance in blood components of all treatments. Liver to body weight ratio of birds fed 7.5% FW supplements decreased significantly(P〈0.05), but was no consistency in LM treatments. In Expt 2, weight gain of chicks fed 15% FW was not significantly different from the control and 7.5% FW. It tended to increase as dietary supplemental LM increased. It also increased in no LM treatment with 15% FW compared to that of control. However, the birds fed 2.2mg/kg LM with 15% FW exhibited higher weight gain than dther treatments. As FW supplement increased, the feed intake increased significantly(P〈0.05). There were no significance in blood components except serum calcium. Weights of liver were not affected by dietary FW or LM. The results of these experiments indicated that chicks fed 4.4mg/kg LM supplements maximized growth rate of all treatments and improved FCR in 2.2mg/kg LM.

Effects of Weekly Administration of Implant-type Recombinant Porcine Somatotropin on the Performance and Carcass Characteristics of Finishing Pigs

  • The present study was undertaken to investigate the effects of weekly administration of implant type recombinant porcine somatotropin (rpST) on the performance and carcass characteristics in finishing pigs. A total of 120 crossbred (Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire${\times}$Duroc) pigs were employed for 11 weeks in a growth trial in experiment. A rpST designed to implant every 7 d was used. Forty pigs, each weighing 75 kg, were allocated into three rpST treatments; control (CONT), implant of rpST from 75 kg (TRT1) or 90 kg (TRT2) of body weight. The CONT pig and pigs in TRT2 from 75 kg to 90 kg were treated without rpST but with placebo. In rpST-treated pigs, each 100 mg and 125 mg of the equivalent rpST was implanted from live weight of 75 kg to 90 kg and from 90 kg to market weight, respectively. Half of the pigs from each treatment were marketed at live weight of 110 kg and the rest at 130 kg. All pigs were allowed ad libitum access to a commercial feed containing 0.94% and 0.88% of lysine from 75 to 110 kg, 110 to 130 kg of body weights, respectively. rpST had no effect on daily gain, while feed efficiency was improved by 7 to 13% (p<0.05) in the rpST-treated groups compared with the CONT. Compared with the CONT, backfat thickness was decreased by 12% (p<0.05) in TRT1 at 110 kg of market weight, and by 23 to 32% (p<0.05) in the rpST-treated groups at 130 kg of market weight, respectively. Lean muscle rate tended to be higher in TRT1 at both 110 kg and 130 kg of market weight, and carcass fat percentage in the rpST-treated groups was decreased by 33 to 46% (p<0.05) compared with the CONT.

Effect of Feeding Cyanidin 3-glucoside (C3G) High Black Rice Bran on Nutrient Digestibility, Blood Measurements, Growth Performance and Pork Quality of Pigs

  • Two experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of feeding cyanidin 3-glucoside (C3G) high black rice bran on nutrient digestibility, blood measurements, growth performance and pork quality of pigs. In Exp. I, a total of fifteen pigs (19.91${\pm}$1.80 kg, average initial body weight) were used in assay of nutrient digestibility and blood measurements. All pigs were allotted to 5 treatments with 3 replicates according to a completely randomized design (CRD) in an individual metabolic crate. Treatments included 1) CON: basal diet, 2) BRB-2: basal+brown rice bran 2%, 3) BRB-4: basal+brown rice bran 4%, 4) CRB-2: basal+C3G high black rice bran 2% and 5) CRB-4: basal+C3G high black rice bran 4%. The digestibility of dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), crude fat (CF), crude ash (CA) and crude fiber (CF) was not affected by dietary treatments. Serum triglyceride (TG) and high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol concentrations were not affected by addition of C3G high black rice bran. However, at the end of experiment, pigs fed rice bran showed decreased tendency in total cholesterol concentration. Especially pigs fed C3G high black rice bran showed significantly lower total cholesterol concentration compared to pigs fed brown rice bran (p<0.03). There was numerically lower total cholesterol concentration with increasing levels of black rice bran in the diet. In terms of serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (GOT) and glutamate pyruvate transaminase (GPT), there were no significant differences among treatments, even though pigs fed CRB-4 showed the lowest GOT concentration compared to other pigs. In Exp. II, sixteen finishing pigs (average initial body weight 89.96${\pm}$0.35 kg) were divided into 4 treatments to investigate the effect of feeding C3G high black rice bran on growth performance and pork quality. There were no significant differences in average daily gain (ADG), average daily feed intake (ADFI) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) among the treatments. Pigs fed C3G high black rice bran showed numerical decrease in ADG and increase in FCR while not effecting feed intake. There was no significant difference in live weight, carcass weight, carcass rate, backfat thickness and carcass grade. However, pigs fed C3G high black rice bran tended to show lower backfat thickness than pigs fed basal diet. Pigs fed C3G high black rice bran showed a tendency of decreased TBA value than pigs fed basal diet, although there was no overall significant difference among treatments. In conclusion, nutrient digestibility, blood measurements, growth performance and pork quality were not significantly affected by feeding C3G high black rice bran to pigs. However, C3G high black rice bran might have an effect on lowering serum total cholesterol and decrease the TBA value in pork compared to control group and these effects might be due to high concentration of antioxidative compounds in C3G high black rice bran.

  • 해상 사고에 의한 익수자는 저체온증에 의한 사망 위험에 노출되어 있다. 구명 동의 등을 착용함으로써 부력은 유지할 수 있으나 해수의 낮은 온도에 의한 신체의 열손실은 짧은 시간 내에 체온을 하강시키고 그에 따른 저체온증 사망이 우려된다. 전통적인 구명 동의는 고체형 부력체를 사용하여 부력을 향상 시키고 있으나, 구명 동의에 공기를 채움으로써 부력 및 체온 보존 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 고체형 충진재를 이용한 기존의 비 팽창형 구명 동의와 공기를 채운 팽창형 구명 동의의 단열 성능을 비교하고, 각각의 방법이 체온 변화에 미치는 영향을 정성적으로 평가하고자 한다. 먼저 열저항 모델을 이용한 대략적인 단열 성능의 비교를 실시하고, 유한요소법을 이용하여 Pennes의 신체 열전달 해석을 수행하여 시간에 따른 체온 변화를 수치적으로 검토하였다.

Growth performance, carcass traits and gut health of broiler chickens fed diets incorporated with single cell protein

  • Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate single cell protein (SCP), produced from Methylococcus species, as a protein source on the growth performance, carcass traits and gut health of broiler chickens. Methods: Ten iso-nitrogenous and iso-caloric diets containing 0 (Control), 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, and 10% SCP replacing either soybean meal (T1 to T5) or fish meal (T6 to T10) were formulated. Each diet prepared for starter (0 to 14 days), grower (15 to 21 days), and finisher (22 to 42 days) phases was offered to four replicates of 10 chicks each (n = 400). Growth performance at different phases and carcass characteristics and intestinal morphology on 42nd day of trial were measured. Results: Body weight gain in groups fed 2.5% and 5% SCP diets were comparable to control during different phases and cumulatively, however lower (p<0.01) in 7.5% and 10% SCP diets. Feed conversion ratio was better (p<0.01) in 2.5% and 5% SCP diets. Dressing percentage, abdominal fat percentage and meat:bone ratio were not affected (p>0.05) by SCP inclusion in the diets. However, breast percentage was higher (p<0.01) in 2.5% and 5% SCP groups and thigh percentage higher in 7.5% and 10% SCP groups. Total microbial count in duodenum, jejunum and ileum were not affected (p>0.05) by SCP inclusion up to 10% in diets. Duodenal villi length and crypt depth were highest (p<0.01) in group fed 5% SCP diets and lowest in group fed 10% SCP diets. Jejunal villi length and crypt depth as well as ileal villi length were lowest (p<0.01) in group fed 10% SCP diets. Body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio and gut health were better (p<0.01) in broilers fed fish meal based diets compared to soybean meal based diets. Conclusion: It was concluded that inclusion of SCP up to 5% replacing soybean meal in broiler diets is beneficial in improving growth rate, breast yield and gut health status.

브로일러의 성장에 관한 파리번데기 동충하초 급여효과 (Effect of Feeding Cordyceps with Fly Pupa on Growth Performance in Broiler Chickens)

  • 본 연구는 파리번데기 동충하초(Cordyceps with fly pupa, CFP)의 급여가 브로일러의 성장능력에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 수행하였다. 부화 1일령 육계(Ross 308) 400수를 이용하여 4개의 처리구로 완전임의배치 한 후 35일 동안 사육하였다. 처리구는 T1 (CFP를 첨가하지 않은 무첨가 대조구), T2 (CFP 2.0% 첨가구), T3 (CFP 3.5% 첨가구) 및 T4 (CFP 5.0% 첨가구)로 구분하였다. 시험 전 기간 동안 브로일러의 증체량 및 사료효율은 T3가 유의하게 가장 높았으나(p<0.05) T1과 T2, T4 사이의 통계적인 유의차는 나타나지 않았다. 혈액 중성지방, 총 콜레스테롤 및 LDL.C 함량은 CFP 첨가구가 대조구에 비해서 유의하게 낮았다(p<0.05). 혈액 지질의 감소율 범위는 대조구와 비교할 때 CFP 첨가구에서 중성지방 5.32-10.63%, 총콜레스테롤 9.23-12.62%, LDL.C 44.67-53.81%로 나타났다. 복강지방 무게비율은 CFP 첨가구가 대조구와 비교할 때 유의하게 감소하였으며(p<0.05) 복강지방의 감소율 범위는 17.67-21.68%로 나타났다. 브로일러의 도체중, 도체율 및 도체중에 대한 가슴살과 피부를 포함한 다리살의 무게는 T3가 유의하게 가장 높았으며 T1과 T2, T4 사이의 통계적인 유의차가 인정되었다(p<0.05). 장 내 유해균인 E. coli, Salmonella는 CFP 첨가구가 대조구에 비해서 낮았으나 유익한 균인 Bifidobacteria는 CFP 첨가구가 대조구에 비해서 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 본 결과는 파리번데기 동충하초가 브로일러의 증체량 및 도체특성을 개선시킬 수 있음을 시사해준다.

운동참여 여부와 성별에 따른 노인의 맥박파전파속도, 신체구성과 심혈관계 변인의 상관성 및 재변인의 차이 (Interrelationships and Differences of Brachial-Ankle Pulse Wave Velocity (baPWV), Body Composition and Cardiovascular Variables between Genders Who Have Been Exercised or Not in Elderly)

  • 심혈관계 위험인자를 비침습적으로 분석할 수 있는 PWV에 관한 다수의 선행연구에서 의견이 분분하고, 결과에 대한 일관성이 부족한 부분을 재현하고자 연구에 임하였으며, 더욱이 날로 증가하고 있는 노인을 대상으로 운동참여 여부와 성별에 따른 노인의 말초동맥파속도(baPWV), 신체구성과 심혈관계 변인의 상관성 및 재변인의 차이를 검증하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 규칙적인 운동을 수행해온 노인남성 39명(이하, 운동군M) 과 운동을 수행해 오고 있지 않은 동일 연령대의 노인남성 38명(이하, 통제군M), 규칙적인 운동을 수행해온 노인여성 40명(이하, 운동군F) 과 운동을 수행해오고 있지 않은 동일 연령대의 노인여성 37명(이하, 통제군F)을 대상으로 변인에 대한 상관성과 집단별 재변인들 간의 차이를 알아본 결과 노인남성 운동군의 baPWV range와 근육량(r=0.357, p=0.026), 수축기혈압(r=0.468, p=0.003), rbaPWV (r=0.406, p=0.010), lbaPWV (r=0.333, p=0.038)가 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보였고, 노인남성 통제군의 경우는 baPWV range와 심박수(r=0.395, p=0.014), rbaPWV (r=0.598, p=0.000), lbaPWV (r=0.602, p=0.000)가 유의한 상관성을 보였다. 노인여성 운동군은 baPWV range와 진단명(r=0.321, p=0.044), 수축기혈압 (r=0.399, p=0.011), 이완기혈압(r=0.545, p=0.000), rbaPWV (r=0.648, p=0.000), lbaPWV (r=0.676, p=0.000)가 유의한 상관성을 보였고, 노인여성 통제군 경우는 baPWV range와 나이 (r=0.471, p=0.003), rbaPWV (r=0.836, p=0.000), lbaPWV (r=0.801, p=0.000)가 통계적으로 유의한 상관성을 보였다. 반면 말초동맥파속도 변인 중 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보인 그룹은 없는 것으로 나타났고, 요둔위($F_{3,150}=9.197$, p=0.000), 근육량($F_{3,150}=74.295$, p=0.000), 체지방율($F_{3,150}=35.045$, p=0.000), 수축기 혈압($F_{3,150}=3.525$, p=0.017)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 본 연구에서는 집단별 특성에 따라 다양한 결과가 나타난다는 사실을 알 수 가 있었으며, 신체구성 변인과 심혈관계 변인 중 수축기 혈압은 운동 여부에 따라 민감한 변화와 차이를 보인 것으로 보아 노인의 경우 운동그룹은 신체구성과 심혈관계 일부 변인에 변화를 줄 수 있다고 단정지어 볼 수 있겠으나, 위팔-발목 맥박파전파속도에 대해서는 일관된 결과가 도출되지 않아서 이에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

Manipulation of Tissue Energy Metabolism in Meat-Producing Ruminants - Review -

  • Skeletal muscle is of major economic importance since it is finally converted to meat for consumers. The increase in meat production with low costs of production may be achieved by optimizing muscle growth, whereas a high meat quality requires, among other factors, the optimization of intramuscular glycogen and fat stores. Thus, research in energy metabolism aims at controling muscle metabolism, but also liver and adipose tissue metabolism in order to optimize energy partitioning in favour of muscles. Liver is characterized by high anabolic and catabolic rates. Metabolic enzymes are regulated by nutrients through short-term regulation of their activities and long-term regulation of expression of their genes. Consequences of liver metabolic regulation on energy supply to muscles may affect protein deposition (and hence growth) as well as intramuscular energy stores. Adipose tissues are important body reserves of triglycerides, which result from the balance between lipogenesis and lipolysis. Both processes depend on the feeding level and on the nature of nutrients, which indirectly affect energy delivery to muscles. In muscles, the regulation of rate-limiting nutrient transporters, of metabolic enzyme activities and of ATP production, as well as the interactions between nutrients affect free energy availability for muscle growth and modify muscle metabolic characteristics which determine meat quality. The growth of tissues and organs, the number and the characteristics of muscle fibers depend, for a great part, on early events during the fetal life. They include variations in quantitative and qualitative nutrient supply to the fetus, and hence in maternal nutrition. During the postnatal life, muscle growth and characteristics are affected by the age and the genetic type of the animals, the feeding level and the diet composition. The latter determines the nature of available nutrients and the rate of nutrient delivery to tissues, thereby regulating metabolism. Physical activity at pasture also favours the orientation of muscle metabolism, towards the oxidative type. Consequently, breeding systems may be of a great importance during the postnatal life. Research is now directed towards the determination of individual tissue and organ energy requirements, a better knowledge of nutrient partitioning between and within organs and tissues. The discovery of new molecules (e. g. leptin), of new molecular mechanisms and of more powerful techniques (DNA chips) will help to achieve these objectives. The integration of the different levels of knowledge will finally allow scientists to formulate new types of diets adapted to sustain a production of high quality meat with lower costs of production.

손상 모발을 위한 EPA 함유 샴푸 개발 (Development of Shampoo Formulated by EPA for the Damaged Hair)

  • Omega-3 fatty acids are a specific type of unsaturated fat that the body cannot manufacture on its own, so they must be obtained from food which is essential fatty acids (EFAs). Omega-3 fatty acids consist of three types which are a-Linolenic Acid (ALA), Eicosapentaenoic (ELA), and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA). Especially, EFAs help to prevent skin and hair drying, acne, eczema, prevention from allergies, brittle nails, rashes, and tiny lumps. The aim of this study is to investigate improvement and protection for hair damaged by chemical treatment with omega-3 formulated shampoo. We selected virgin hair sample and divided into two groups for bleaching once and three times and then damaged hair by changing the number of hair bleaching (twice with interval of 15 minutes). Each bleached hair was treated by five different kinds of shampoo (Control, Horse shampoo, DHA shampoo, EPA shampoo, Omega-3 shampoo mixture). Apart from this, EPA/DHA 2, 5, 8, 10 and 12% shampoo were prepared and treated to hair for comparing rate of progress in damaged hair. To quantify improved condition of damaged hair, we performed Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) for ultrastructure of damaged hair fraction, measurement of thickness change and BCA Protein Assay for recovery rate of damaged hair. The moisture in hair was measured by Thermal analysis machine. In results, we observed the particle of hair surface damaged by bleaching treatment were well improved with treatment with EPA and DHA shampoo. Also, quantity of protein was lowered with higher concentration of EPA & DHA i.e., 8 and 12 % then compared with horse oil shampoo in three times treatment group. It shows that bleached hair have been recovered by treating rapidly and get protective coat. In conclusion, EPA and DHA shampoo improved damaged hair, especially with EPA / DHA 12% shampoo. Also, EPA shampoo could protect the damaged hair depending on increasing concentration of EPA. Therefore, we conclude omega-3 shampoo could make damaged hair protect and get healthy hair environment.
