Pole Information Management System using RFID (RFID를 이용한 전주 정보관리 시스템)

  • In this paper, we embed RFID tag into name plate of pole and store key value at its RFID tag in order to solve the problem for the management of name plate of pole, which identify by eyes of human for until now. The 900MHz RFID reader performs identification for stored key value, then its key value transmit into smart phone through Bluetooth. The smart phone transmit the key value into server through data communication network and receive again the necessary information after the authentication by the server. We develop pole information system that have such a structure.

  • In this thesis, in consideration of the functions of general carriers, smart carriers with various convenience functions were studied for supplementation and improvement based on the disadvantages of carriers and inconvenience when using them. Based on the app inventory program, LED and motor locks were installed in carriers through smartphone applications, Bluetooth recognition and control functions that easily control on/off, load cell sensors were installed inside the carriers to detect weight, install Bluetooth and alarms on LCD panels, and prevent theft and loss.

  • 안전함과 편리함을 추구하는 현대 사회에서 사람들은 각종 스마트기기에 가까워져 있다. 휴식을 취하는 가정에서도 역시 사람들은 스마트폰과 각종 웨어러블 기기가 일상이 되었고, 가전제품 또한 사물 인터넷화되며 사람들의 편의성에 보탬이 된다. 본 논문에서는 다가오는 4차산업혁명인 사물인터넷에 다가가는 주제를 선정하였고, 사람들이 가정에서 휴식을 취할 때 온습도, 미세먼지 농도를 사용자 지정 값에 의하여 자동 환기하여 쾌적한 환경 조성에 도움을 준다. 모든 측정값은 가정 내에서 블루투스 통신을 통해 결과를 표시하도록 하였다. 그리고 부하의 전원과도 연결하여 손쉽게 전원제어 역시 원격으로 가능하도록 구현하였다. 또한, 외출 시 가스 누출 사고와 화재 발생을 와이파이 통신 환경을 통해 원격으로 앱에 경보를 제시하고 누출된 측정값을 도식하면서 큰 2차 피해로 이어지기 전에 초동조치가 가능하도록 설계하였다. 사용자의 편의와 안전성을 주제로, 사람들에게 유익한 기능을 제공하고 앞으로의 4차산업혁명인 사물인터넷과의 연계 역시 기대할 수 있다.

  • This paper designs and implements a smart garden system using probabilistic filter algorithm using SLAM that can be used in apartment or veranda. To do this, we used Arduino and environtal sensors, which are open hardware controllers, and designed to control and observe automatic water supply, lighting, and growth monitoring with three wireless systems (Bluetooth, Ethernet, WiFi). This system has been developed to make it possible to use it in an indoor space such as an apartment, rather than a large-scale cultivation system such as a conventional plant factory which has already been widely used. The developed system collects environmental data by using soil sensor, illuminance sensor, humidity sensor and temperature sensor as well as control through smartphone app, analyzes the collected data, and controls water pump, LED lamp, air ventilation fan and so on. As a wireless remote control method, we implemented Bluetooth, Ethernet and WiFi. Finally, it is designed for users to enable remote control and monitoring when the user is not in the house.

  • Wearable display market is a consistently growing field to handle a smart device with ease. Wearable display is an efficient device that can show the information to the user. In this paper, propose the scheme of a wearable display using LED and implement it including controlling remotely with BLE. Traditional outdoor LED display requires the dedicated controller and its software. Therefore, to control those LED display, it should implement a driver and its own way of communication. The proposed method is to ensure the independence and extensibility by separating driver module and communication module for controlling LED display. In addition, by adopting a short-range communication with Bluetooth 4.0 and a LED driver with low-power technology, it can be showed to control system configuration and display with a smart device.

  • In this paper, we propose new water pressure measurement system to measure the water pressure of water pipe laid underground beneath the manhole efficiently. For this purpose, we installed water pressure sensor(IoT) which has built-in bluetooth module at valve of water pipe. The proposed system can be managed through collected data which measured at sensor and then transmitted to smart phone through bluetooth connectivity and re-transmitted to server on this system. By checking out water pressure data stored in server from remote location, the persons in charge can confirm the leakage of water pipe or propriety of water pressure in management area. By this procedure, they can detect the existence of condition of water pipe and manage water pressure of water pipe efficiently.

  • Safety accidents at industrial sites can occur anytime, anywhere. Recently, research on the industrial safety management system based on the IoT has been actively conducted. However, most of the studies are studies of actions after safety accidents or simply monitoring. In this paper, the safety equipment was introduced before safety accidents occurred, and the subjects could be managed not only by workers but also by visitors. Also, it implements a system to prevent the accident by detecting the user's motion and situation periodically before a safety accident occurs. The implemented system is a system that attaches the device for safety management to the hard hat and can identify the safety situation by using the Bluetooth beacon device attached to the user's smartphone and the industrial site.

  • Existing child car seats do not have a monitoring means for the driver or guardian to effectively recognize the status of whether the seat belt of car seat is fastened and whether the ISOFIX of the car seat is fastened to the inside device of the vehicle. In this paper, we propose a smart car seat system which can monitor in real time, whether the seat belt of a child seated in the car seat is fastened and whether the ISOFIX of the car seat is fastened. The proposed system has been developed with a prototype, in which a Hall sensor, magnet, Bluetooth, and display device are used to detect whether these are fastened and to display the detection results. The prototype system provides the detection results as texts and alarm signal to the display for driver or guardian' smartphone in the car in motion. With functional tests of the prototype system, it was confirmed that the detection functions are properly operated, and the detection results were transmitted to the display device and smartphone via Bluetooth within 0.5 seconds. It is expected that the development system can effectively prevent safety accidents of child car seats.

  • Smart devices refer to various devices and control equipment such as health care devices, imaging devices, motor devices and wearable devices that use wireless network communication (e.g., Wi-fi, Bluetooth, LTE). Commercial services using such devices are found in a wide range of fields, including home networks, health care and medical services, entertainment and toys. Studies on smart devices have also been actively undertaken by academia and industry alike, as the penetration rate of smartphones grew and the technological progress made with the fourth industrial revolution bring about great convenience for users. While services offered through smart devices come with convenience, there is also various security threats that can lead to financial loss or even a loss of life in the case of terrorist attacks. As attacks that are committed through smart devices tend to pick up where attacks based on wireless internet left off, more research is needed on related security topics. As such, this paper seeks to design an access control method for reinforced security for smart devices. After registering and authenticating the smart device from the user's smart phone and service provider, a safe communication protocol is designed. Then to secure the integrity and confidentiality of the communication data, a management process such as for device renewal or cancellation is designed. Safety and security of the existing systems against attacks are also evaluated. In doing so, an improved efficiency by approximately 44% compared to the encryption processing speed of the existing system was verified.

Implementation of Smart Gloves for the Blind and Visually Impaired

  • Most people with visual impairments can not use both hands freely because they carry a cane. And unnecessary contact with people around you during walking can occur. Other guides include guide dogs, but the price and maintenance cost are expensive and difficult to manage. In this paper, we propose a smart glove, which prevents unnecessary contact when blind people use the cane, detects the obstacle ahead by using the ultrasonic sensor, and informs the presence of the obstacle by using the servo motor. In addition, the electrostatic proximity touch module on the fingers executes a specific application of the smart phone connected by Bluetooth when the finger touches each other. It is designed to allow you to use text or phone calls when you are lost or in an emergency. The results of this study will be used as a tool to provide a more convenient life for the visually impaired.
