  • The present society have been polluted the earth environment by the rapid industrial growth. So, the meaning of sustainable development is doing more important. Therefore the technology skills of sustainable architecture techniques have been studied many-side of energy as like energy saving and substitutive energy. But, See the studies until now, there have been just one system either energy saving or substitutive energy. So, the paper studies about energy saving system with substitutive energy system(the double-skin facade system with PV modules) and presents the performance of system through the analysis of reduction of the energy load, the solar radiation on the slope angle of PV module, the blind effect in system.

  • Most people with visual impairments can not use both hands freely because they carry a cane. And unnecessary contact with people around you during walking can occur. Other guides include guide dogs, but the price and maintenance cost are expensive and difficult to manage. In this paper, we propose a smart glove, which prevents unnecessary contact when blind people use the cane, detects the obstacle ahead by using the ultrasonic sensor, and informs the presence of the obstacle by using the servo motor. In addition, the electrostatic proximity touch module on the fingers executes a specific application of the smart phone connected by Bluetooth when the finger touches each other. It is designed to allow you to use text or phone calls when you are lost or in an emergency. The results of this study will be used as a tool to provide a more convenient life for the visually impaired.

  • The side and rear-side collision warning system using fuzzy control algorithms is discussed in this paper. Common rearside warning system has many problems. For example if target vehicle comes into the warning area, it must unconditionally warn. Drivers could be interrupted by it. To solve the problem, I divided measuring area into two sections. One section is blind area of vehicle and the other rear-side area. For blind area, obtained data was filtered inefficient warning signal by using relative velocity method. For rear-side area, a fuzzy logic algorithm is used to recognition of obstacles. According to our experiment relative velocity method and fuzzy logic algorithms were very efficient.

  • In this paper, we implemented the electornic moving aid system for safe walking of the blind. An obstacle detecting of each sector used ultrasound and a distance measurement used time of flight. The alarm is designed to have a sound and a tactile function that can be selected on an user's convenience. This system can detect and obstacle of upward, forward, downward and optimally warn to the blind with vibration, beep sound by appling warning algorithm on object detection. Experimental testing and performance evaluation have been successfully carried out with a prototype cane, and the experiment shows the capability of the function to detect unknown objects within an assigned distance, under knees, over head height, and crushed puddles.

  • Nowadays Hyperbolic Navigation System-LORAN, DECCA, OMEGA, OMEGA-is available on the ocean, and Spherical Navigation System, GPS (Global Positioning System) is operated partially. Hyperbolic Navigation System has the blind area near the base line extention because divergence rate of hyperbola is infinite theoretically. The Position Accuracy is differ from the cross angle of LOP although each LOP has the same error of quantity. GDOP(Geometric Dilution of Precisoin) is used to estimate the position accuracy according to the cross angle of LOP and LOP error. Hyperbola and ellipse are crossed at right angle everywhere. Hyperbola and ellipse are used to LOP in Rectangular Navigation System. The equation calculating the GDOP of rectangular Navigation System is induced and GDOP diagram is completed in this paper. A scheme that can improve the position accuracy in the blind area of Hyperboic Navigation System using the Rectangular Navigation System is proposed through the computer simulation.

  • Since there is a blind zone in driver's view around the excavator, industrial accidents between the equipment and the workers within the zone have been occurred frequently. The purpose of this paper is to develop a obstacle recognition system which can prevent such an accident by providing the driver with the information on direction and distance of the obstacle within the blind zone. We designed the ultrasonic sensor based obstacle recognition system which consists of sensor arrays and a control unit connected via CAN(controller area network). The Cross-correlation technique and histogramic probability distribution method are used as a reliable obstacle detection algorithms to remove the environmental noise. The experimental results using a real excavator show the effectiveness of the system.

  • 시각장애인은 활동을 하는데 있어 많은 제약이 따른다. 특히 사물을 만지거나 음성을 이용하여 정보를 얻어 이동해야 하는 어려움을 겪는다. 공공기관 및 민간기업에서는 시각장애인의 어려움을 해결하기 위하여 다양한 지원방안을 내놓고 있지만 여전히 미흡한 것이 현실이다. 이 중 시각장애인이 사용하고자 하는 기기에 설치된 점자판에 접근하는데는 특히나 많은 어려움이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 시각장애인 및 저시력자들이 효과적으로 점자판에 접근할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다. 제안시스템은 블루투스를 이용하여 음성으로 시각장애인들이 이용하려는 시설 및 기기 등에 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 도와줌으로써, 사회적 약자의 어려움을 해소하는데 많은 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a speech support system of personal computer for the blind. The system is consist of hardware part and software part. The hardware part are consist of personal computer and sound card. The software part are consist of sound driver system, character table and sound output algorithm. This system can recognize inputted characters from keyboard and program produced character strings.

  • In order to improve sensing performance when the noise variance is not known, this paper considers a so-called blind spectrum sensing technique that is based on eigenvalue models. In this paper, we employed the spiked population models in order to identify the miss detection probability. At first, we try to estimate the unknown noise variance based on the blind measurements at a secondary location. We then investigate the performance of detection, in terms of both theoretical and empirical aspects, after applying this estimated noise variance result. In addition, we study the effects of the number of SUs and the number of samples on the spectrum sensing performance.
