유전 알고리즘을 이용한 이진 결정 트리의 설계와 응용 (A design of binary decision tree using genetic algorithms and its applications)

  • A new design scheme of a binary decision tree is proposed. In this scheme a binary decision tree is constructed by using genetic algorithm and FCM algorithm. At each node optimal or near-optimal feature subset is selected which optimizes fitness function in genetic algorithm. The fitness function is inversely proportional to classification error, balance between cluster, number of feature used. The binary strings in genetic algorithm determine the feature subset and classification results - error, balance - form fuzzy partition matrix affect reproduction of next genratin. The proposed design scheme is applied to the tire tread patterns and handwriteen alphabetic characters. Experimental results show the usefulness of the proposed scheme.

  • In this paper, we propose a two step Binary Exponential search algorithm for rapid acquisition time of UWB(Ultra Wide Band) signal on UWB communication systems. Previous proposed timing acquisition algorithm is searching whole frame that consist of the number of n Bins to terminate search, however this paper proposed two step Binary Exponential search algorithm can achieve remarkable reduction of UWB signal acquisition time as limiting search group. Proposed search algorithm is consisting of search group establishment step and Bit Reversing of search group establishment step.

  • The electron transport coefficients in not only pure atoms and molecules but also in the binary gas mixtures are necessary, especially on understanding quantitatively plasma phenomena and ionized gases. Electron transport coefficients (electron drift velocity, density-normalized longitudinal diffusion coefficient, and density-normalized effective ionization coefficient) in binary mixtures of TEOS gas with buffer gases such as Kr, Xe, He, and Ne gases, therefore, was analyzed and calculated by a two-term approximation of the Boltzmann equation in the E/N range (ratio of the electric field E to the neutral number density N) of 0.1 - 1000 Td (1 Td = 10−17 V.cm2). These binary gas mixtures can be considered to use as the silicon sources in many industrial applications depending on mixture ratio and particular application of gas, especially on plasma assisted thin-film deposition.

  • This paper analyzes the method of cascading 74LS163 4-Bit Binary Counters. The 74LS163 4-Bit Binary Counter has synchronous LD. CLR functions and especially ENT, ENP, RCO to cascade some chips in order to count more 4bit binary number. The maximum operating frequency may vary according to the method of cascading. The Data sheet from Texas Instruments introduces two methods, The Ripple Carry Mode Circuit and The Carry Look Ahead Circuit, and shows that The Carry Look Ahead Circuit is more efficient than the other. However, there are only little information for user to understand and apply this to other circuits. Thus, we not only analyzed the two methods but also compared with each other in the point of performance.

연료 제트의 두 액적간의 충돌기구에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Investigation of Collision Mechanisms Between Binary Droplet of Fuel Jet)

  • In this study, the mechanisms of binary droplet collision were studied with diesel, ethanol and purified water. The droplet collisions of liquid droplet have been investigated for the same droplet diameter. In order to obtain the digital images of the droplet collision behavior, the experimental equipment was composed of the droplet generating system and the droplet visualization system. The droplets were produced by the vibrating orifice monodisperse generator. The visualization system consisted of a long distance microscope, a light source, and a high speed camera. The outcomes of binary droplet collision can be divided into four regimes, bouncing, coalescence, reflexive separation and stretching separation. The impact angle and the relative velocity of binary droplet are main parameters of collision phenomena, so the transition mechanism of droplet collision can be divided by the impact parameter.

Acoustic Studies on Different Binary Liquid Mixtures of LIX Reagents with Different Diluents

  • Ultrasonic velocity and density measurements have been undertaken for a number of binary liquid mixtures involving different commercial solvent extractants, LIX reagents. The binary mixtures under investigation have been classified under two categories such as polar-polar, and polar-non-polar types. Different theories and relations such as Schaaff's Collision Factor Theory (CFT), Nomoto's relation (NOM), and Van Dael & Vangeel ideal mixing relation (IMR) have been used to evaluate the velocity theoretically for all these binary systems. The relative merits of afore-mentioned theories and relations compared to experimental values of velocity have been discussed in terms of percentage variations. However, the CFT and Nomoto's relation show better agreement with the experimental findings than the ideal mixing relation for all the systems under investigation.

Numerical Algorithm for Phase Offsets of Binary Codes in the Code Division Multiple Access System

  • There has been a growing need for increased capacity in cellular systems. This has resulted in the adoption of the code division multiple access (CDMA) system as a multiple channel access method. Thus, it is important to obtain the phase offsets of binary codes in the CDMA system because distinct phase offsets of the same code are used to distinguish signals received at the mobile station from different base stations. This letter proposes an efficient algorithm to compute the phase offset of a binary code in the CDMA system through the use of the basic facts of number theory and a new notion of the subcodes of a given code. We also formulate the algorithm in a compact form.

  • 디지털 워터마킹은 인간의 감각으로 감지할 수 없고 통계적인 방법에 의하여 검출되지 않는 정보를 디지털 데이터에 삽입하는 기술이다. 일반적으로 디지털 음향 신호에 대한 워터마킹은 의미 있는 정보를 갖는 이진 시퀀스를 원래의 디지털 음향 신호에 삽입하여 구현한다. 그러나 삽입된 이진 정보는 원래의 디지털 음향 신호의 관점에서는 잡음으로 작용하여 원래의 음향 신호를 왜곡 시키거나 열화 시키는 원인으로 작용한다. 본 논문에서는 인간의 가청 주파수 영역에서 이진 정보의 삽입으로 인한 원 음향 정보의 왜곡을 최소화시킬 수 있는 이진 정보 발생 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법은 표준부호 디지트 코딩을 이용한 방법으로서 인접한 데이터간의 주파수 간섭을 최소화 하여 인간의 가청 주파수 영역에서의 이진 정보 시퀀스의 영향을 최소화 하도록 구현하였다. 제안한 방법은 일반적인 이진 정보발생 방법과 주파수 분석 비교를 통하여 성능을 평가하였다.

  • Multi-disk data allocation problem examined in this paper is to find a method to distribute a Binary Cartesian Product File on multiple disks to maximize parallel disk I/O accesses for partial match retrieval. This problem is known to be NP-hard, and heuristkc approaches have been applied to obtain sub-optimal solutions. Recently, efficient methods have been proposed with a restriction that the number of disks in which files are stored should be power of 2. In this paper, we propose a new disk Allocation method based on Genetic Algorithm(GA) to remove the restriction on the number of disks to be applied. Using the schema theory, we prove that our method can find a near-optimal solutionwith high probability. We compare the quality of solution derived by our method with General Disk Modulo, Binary Disk Modulo, and Error Correcting Code methods through the simulation. The simulation results show that proposed GA is superior to GDM method in all cases and provides comparable performance to the BDM method which has a restriction on the number of disks.

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 사용자 간섭이 존재하는 환경에서 초광대역 (UWB: Ultra Wide Band) 기반의 전술이동통신 시스템의 성능을 분석하고 모의 실험을 통해 성능을 검증하였다. 본 논문에서 고려한 시스템은 채널에서 발생하는 오류를 정정하기 위해 이중 이진 터보 부호를 채널 부호로 채택한 시스템이다. 무선 채널은 수정된 SV (Saleh and Valenzuela) 모델로 모델링되었다. 또한 시스템 성능을 향상시키기 위해 시공간 블록 부호화 (STBC: Space Time Block Coding) 개념을 적용하였다. 시스템 성능은 비트 오류 확률 측면에서 분석되었다. 모의 실험 결과, 이중 이진 터보 부호로 부호화된 UWB 기반의 전술이동통신 시스템은 다중 사용자 간섭이 존재하는 환경에서 적절한 부호화 및 복호화 복잡도를 가지면서도 상당한 부호화 이득을 가질 수 있는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 고정된 부호화율에서 UWB 기반의 전술이동통신 시스템의 비트 오류 확률 성능은 반복 복호 횟수를 증가시킴에 따라 향상되는 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 이중 이진 터보 부호는 요구되는 비트 오류 확률을 유지하면서 동시 사용자 수를 증가시키는데 매우 효과적임이 검증되었다.
