The purpose of this study is to generate a proper regulation improvement direction of the public If project contract law through the current four contract methods and three methods of the awarding party of a contract method. The research method for this paper is derived from the written materials of the present public IT project contract law. Two problems have been processed in order to produce the results: the current contract methods and the awarding party of a contract method. The current contract methods consist of a competition contract, a private contract, and a supply methodology contract, The methods of the awarding party of a contract display a qualified evaluation regulation, the 2nd step competition bid, a standard cost separation tender, and a contract by a negotiation. The results exhibit that the general competition contract consists of four improvement items. The contract by a negotiation contains five improvement items. The group private contract has one improvement item. And the private contract includes one improvement item. These results implicate that the current public IT project contract law demands better improvement work for the ubiquitous Korea.

A 9-year old female Shih Tzu dog was presented to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Seoul National University with a history of chronic intermittent anorexia and vomiting of 4-year duration. She visited 3 years ago with the same clinical signs but has not been treated regularly due to waxing-waning course. On the physical examination, no specific findings were found. CBC, serum chemistry, radiography, ACTH stimulation test, evaluation of serum T4 and TSH concentration were performed. Hypoadrenocorticism was diagnosed with the ACTH stimulation test. And then, secondary hypoadrenocorticism was diagnosed with ACTH stimulation test, pre-ACTH aldosterone concentration, endogenous ACTH concentration. As electrolyte concentrations were normal, glucocorticoid (0.15 mg/kg bid PO) alone was administered. She has recovered from the clinical signs and has been doing well. It is suggested that the differentiation of secondary hypoadrenocorticism from primary hypoadrenocorticism is important as the secondary hypoadrenocorticism occurs rarely and the symptoms are non-specific with normal electrolyte concentrations.

This study was intended to analyze the clinical characteristic of the patient with hypoglycemia and the status of prehospital treatments by 119 emergency medical technicians well as the cause of inappropriate emergency treatment by 119 emergency medical technicians in a bid to seek the measures for improvement, thereby enhancing the emergency medical services before medical treatment at hospital. Examination of the daily work log on 430 patients suffering with hypoglycemia who were sent to the university hospital in Gyunggi-Province by 119 emergency medical technicians, beginning on Jan 1, 2004 till Dec 31. 2008 was carried out and the survey of 206 119 emergency medical technicians working at the region of Gyunggid-Province was conducted from Sep 19 through Oct 6, 2009. Evaluation of the frequency and percentage and ANOVA analysis using SPSS WIN 14.0 program was carried out. In view of the examination of daily emergency work log and questionnaire, prehospital treatment for the patients with hypoglycemia needs to be further improved in general, and to provide the emergency treatment in accurate and timely manner, improvement of the system such as assignment of licensed rescue members and development of protocol that will replace the medical consultant system, mandatory emergency treatment, constant and efficient training and maintenance of emergency rescue records shall be implemented, and furthermore, social recognition to 119 emergency medical technicians shall be improved to encourage them to perform more positive way and manner.

This study investigates the performance of hollow precast segmental bridge columns with reinforcement details for material quantity reduction. The proposed triangular reinforcement details are economically feasible and rational, and facilitate shorter construction periods. The precast segmental bridge columns provides an alternative to current cast-in-place systems. We tested a model of hollow precast segmental bridge columns under a constant axial load and a quasi-static, cyclically reversed horizontal load. We used a computer program, Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology (RCAHEST), for analysis of reinforced concrete structures. The used numerical method gives a realistic prediction of performance throughout the loading cycles for hollow precast segmental bridge column specimens investigated. As a result, proposed reinforcement details for material quantity reduction was equal to existing reinforcement details in terms of required performance.

The composite beam adopted in the study was designed to reduce the floor height as well as to embed the top flange of steel frame into the slab that will enable to avoid applying the fire-resistant coating and to unify the joint method with a steel frame-type. As the steel frame and bottom concrete of the beam is pre-fabricated at the factory it could reduce the overall schedule at the jobsite. Applying such composite beam system to the work is expected to provide the efficient and enhanced performance, given the current tendency of the building construction that tends to be getting higher, larger and dense. The study focused on combining the composite beam with various column systems in a bid to propose the details thereof. A desirable composite girder can be adopted depending on site conditions through the evaluation of various beam and jointing approaches. Among the column systems applied to the study are steel column, SRC column, RC-PC column and RC column. The ways of combining with the columns addressed in the study were categorized into the rigid joint, pin joint, steel frame joint and bracket type joint. Besides, the instruction for site fabrication of beam-column was added in an effort to help set up the site fabrication procedures.

Epilepsy has been known to humankind since antiquity. The surgical treatment of epilepsy began in the early days of neurosurgery and has developed greatly. Many surgical procedures have stood the test of time. However, clinicians treating epilepsy patients are now witnessing a huge tide of change. In 2017, the classification system for seizure and epilepsy types was revised nearly 36 years after the previous scheme was released. The actual difference between these systems may not be large, but there have been many conceptual changes, and clinicians must bid farewell to old terminology. Paradigms in drug discovery are changing, and novel anti-seizure drugs have been introduced for clinical use. In particular, drugs that target genetic changes harbor greater therapeutic potential than previous screening-based compounds. The concept of focal epilepsy has been challenged, and now epilepsy is regarded as a network disorder. With this novel concept, stereotactic electroencephalography (SEEG) is becoming increasingly popular for the evaluation of dysfunctioning neuronal networks. Minimally invasive ablative therapies using SEEG electrodes and neuromodulatory therapies such as deep brain stimulation and vagus nerve stimulation are widely applied to remedy dysfunctional epilepsy networks. The use of responsive neurostimulation is currently off-label in children with intractable epilepsy.

In recent years, Vietnam's economic growth rate has been attributed to the growth of many well-managed industries within Southeast Asia. Among them is the civil construction industry. Construction projects typically take a long time to complete and require a huge budget. Many socio-economic variables and factors affect total construction project costs due to market fluctuations. In recent years, crucial socioeconomic development indicators of construction reached a fairly high growth rate. Also, most infrastructure and construction projects have a high degree of complexity and uncertainty. This makes it challenging to predict the accurate project price. These challenges raise the need to recognize significant factors that influence the construction price index of civil buildings in Vietnam, both micro and macro. Therefore, this paper presents critical factors that affect the construction price index using the fuzzy extent analysis process in an uncertain environment. This proposed quantitative model is expected to reflect the uncertainty in the process of evaluating and ranking the influencing factors of the construction price index in Vietnam. The research results would also allow project stakeholders to be more informed of the factors affecting the construction price index in the context of Vietnam's civil construction industry. They also enable construction contractors to estimate project costs and bid rates better, enhancing their project and risk management performance.

Since "Act on Private Participation in Infrastructure" were changed in January 2005, BTL(Build-Transfer-Lease) projects of Private Participation In Infrastructure was introduced in the domestic construction market for the purpose of providing public facilities with the public. Selecting the most qualified Promoter should be considered discreetly in BTL projects because BTL projects is for projects with approximately thirty year project life cycle, plan, construction, operating, maintenance and obviously the success of the project totally depends on the capability and role of concessionaire. However, score for cost is likely to influence designating concessionaire to take the project. Accordingly, low bid contract with too much competition could decrease the quality of the construction plan and operating plan. Thus, this study did preliminary research and documents on problems of evaluation criteria for designating concessionaire in BTL projects, and proposed improvement program by doing questionnaire over specialists of each field.
