This study aims to improve subject retrieval by constructing the hypertext-based thesaurus to provide a browsing interface to a thesaurus. The experimental system used IBM 486 DXII as a hardware, C++ language as a programming language and Hangul Window 3.1 version as a user interface. The results of this study are summarized as follows : (1) The experimental hypertext-based thesaurus can be used as an efficient search aid for query formulation for the retrieval of bibliographic information. (2) The initial access to the hypertext-based thesaurus is via a keyword index. This index is consist of all the words used to form thesaurus terms, whether descriptors or nondescriptors. (3) Hypertext-based thesaurus allow bookmark button and history button to alleviating the problem of disorientation. (4) This system allow an end-user to view a rich variety of inter-term relationships and a complete conceptus of associations through the information space in a nonsequential manner.

이 연구의 목적은 문학 분야의 서지적 온톨로지인 OCLC의 FictionFinder(http://fictionfinder.oclc.erg)를 질적으로 평가하려는 것이다. FictionFinder는 FRBR모델을 기반으로 기존 목록의 질을 향상시켜 더 많은 가치를 부가하기 위해서 만든 모델인데, 이에 이것이 실제로 전반적인 검색 시스템 성능에 어떻게 영향을 끼치는 가를 평가한 것이다. 이를 위하여 40명의 대학교 4학년 학생이 '생각을 종이에 적기 방법'을 이용하여 다음과 같은 세가지면을 평가하였다 어떻게 이 온톨로지가 도움이 되었는가? 처음에 도움이 되리라고 생각되었던 것들이 실제로 도움이 되던가? 어떤 한 군데를 보던 이용자들이 실제로 관련이 되는 다른 곳으로 이동해서 보던가? 그 결과 온톨로지 기반의 정보검색은 Cutter의 두 번째 원칙대로 의미 있게 묶어서 보여주니 이용자에게 부가가치를 주었으며 인터페이스의 유용성과 사용성을 높여주는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 질적인 방법에 의한 시스템 평가는 시스템 개발 시 전체적인 그림 구축과 이용자의 요구 파악하는데 유용함을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 질적 평가도 정보검색시스템의 평가지표로서 활용될 수도 있을 것으로 본다.

This paper surveyed the theoretical backgrounds of digital library. Its definition and function and case studies, and basic skills for system construction of digital library were suggested. The differences between the traditional library and the digital library were compared. And the conditions that should be take into consideration of digital library construction were suggested. Suggestions are summarized as follows : 1. For the construction of digital library, library collection should be digitalized by using CD-ROM and commercial online services. 2. The digitalization of library collection should be planned by subject sharing between the libraries. For the control of this cooperation, the orgnization to propel the digitalization should be established. And it is necessary to enact the standards for the digital library. 3. The connection between MARC formatted bibliographic database and full-text should be studied. 4. All the types of information about texts, pictures, sounds and if films should be also digitalized. 5. To satisfy the needs of many users, we have to establish the various users's interface which is fitted for several kinds of users. 6. When a digital library was constructed, the copyright and resources sharing must be guranteed depending on the cost of database's usage. 7. Because the digitalization of library will be related to the various kinds of libraries, the interface for resources sharing will be constantly concerned. 8. The sharing of information resources between the libraries will be enacted on the Internet. And we must be interested in various internet tools such as telecommunication softwares, media convert programs, etc. 9. By training staffs continously, all libraries must be ready to come the library in the future.

This paper provides an overview of the emergence of resource discovery systems and services, along with their advantages, best practices, and current landscapes. It outlines some of the key services and functionalities of a comprehensive discovery model suitable for academic libraries in developing countries. The proposed model (VuFind as a discovery tool) performs like other existing web-scale resource discovery systems, both commercial and open-source, and is capable of providing information resources from different sources in a single-window search interface. The objective of the paper is to provide seamless access to globally distributed subscribed as well as open access resources through its discovery interface, based on a unified index. This model uses Koha, DSpace, and Greenstone as back-ends and VuFind as a discovery layer in the front-end and has also integrated many enhanced search features like Bento-box search, Geodetic search, and full-text search (using Apache Tika). The goal of this paper is to provide the academic community with a one-stop shop for better utilising and integrating heterogeneous bibliographic data sources with VuFind (https://vufind.org/vufind).

이 연구의 목적은 공공도서관 어린이용 OPAC 디스플레이의 기능성 및 그에 관련된 검색 인터페이스의 특성을 분석하고, 그 개선방안을 제안하는 것이다. 청주기적의도서관, 노원어린이도서관의 OPAC과 미국 로스앤젤레스 공공도서관과 핀란드의 HelMet어린이용 OPAC을 대상으로 간략 및 상세검색 화면의 구조. 간략 디스플레이 서지레코드의 간략 및 완전 디스플레이, 다수 검색 결과와 검색 실패 시 디스플레이의 특성을 분석하였다. 이들의 특성은 IFLA의 'OPAC 디스플레이 지침(초안)'에서 제시된 38개 권장사항 및 Nielsen의 '이용자 인터페이스 디자인 원칙'을 참조하여 검토하였다. 청주기적의도서관과 노원어린이도서관 OPAC 디스플레이가 어린이들의 요구와 행태를 특별히 반영하지 않은 한편. LAPL은 매우 단순하고 시각적인 특성을 지닌 어린이용 OPAC을 제공했으며, HelMet 어린이용 OPAC도 상당히 단순하고 어린이용으로 조정된 특성을 보여주었다.

This study aimed to understand the driver change of recent research in relation to rural and migrant and draw overarching issues as well as to provide implications to contribute to migrants' social integration in Korean rural areas. As for the scope and method of the study, data through quantitative bibliographic analysis (quantitative data) and research keywords by period were derived. To address the aim this study employed bibliometric analysis utilising netwok mapping interface analysis by VOSviewer and topic modeling analysis by Netminer. The findings were revealed that firstly mental health issues in abroad research and employment and discrimination in domestic research both derived from migrant mobility constituted staple key issues, secondly internal and external research differed two issues in health and violence where Korea has overlooked the issues seriously. Therefore this study presented implications which are about first, health and violence-related sections for migrants should be specified into domestic law, second domestic-focused MIPEX index should be developed in which the two issues are over-weighted and last such newly emerging approach 'inclusive formation of social psychological mechanisms should be widely spread. Concluding remark is that delivering the implications can be foster to migrants' integration in rural area underlining that this will ultimately contribute to migrants' quality of life.

On UX/UI fields, understanding emerging technology is important for preoccupancy of a future market. Most of emerging field searching methods are qualitative methods. However, it is suitable for large companies to adduce its milestone, not for small enterprises. Thus, this study aims at purposing the improvement of utilizability for research field searching processes. We draw core patents with modified patent citation data, apply the Girvan-Newman clustering method based on bibliographic coupling patent relationship and then, draw emerging technology research UX/UI fields. Finally, the results were validated in comparison with a report on emerging research.

인터넷 및 정보기술의 급속한 발전에 따라 기존의 도서관은 원문위주의 서비스를 제공하는 도서관으로 변화되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 메타 데이터 기반 논문 종합목록 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 학술지 논문 종합 목록을 위한 메타데이터 접합은 더블린 코어 메타데이터 요소 중 12개를 선택하고 소장요소를 추가 제안한다. 본 논문에서 설계 구현한 학술지 논문 종합 목록 시스템은 웹 브라우저 및 Z39.50 프로토콜을 이용하는 온라인 공동 목록 시스템과 학술지 논문 종합 목록시스템 그리고 학술지 논문 통합 검색 서비스로 구성된다. 또한 학술지논문에 대한 통합 검색 또는 기사 색인 검색 결과에 따라 초록보기, 목차보기, 원문보기 등의 서비스가 제공되고, 복사/팩스 서비스 시스템과 연계된다.

본 연구는 이용자가 필요로 하는 과학기술정보를 찾기까지 학술지 목록 데이터베이스, 학술지기사 데이터베이스, 원문 데이터베이스를 각기 개별적으로 검색하는 기존의 방식에서 벗어나 통합검색을 지원하는 학술지 원 클릭 서비스 체제를 구현하고자 수행되었다. 데이터베이스 간, 그리고 DB와 전자 저널을 통합하여 학술지 원 클릭 서비스 체제를 구현함으로써 이용자는 학술지 브라우징, 학술지 검색, 학술지 기사검색, 전자 저널 보기, Alert 서비스, My Favorite Journal및 Keyword 등록관리, 원문복사신청을 단일 인터페이스 상에서 이용할 수 있다. 이용자는 학술지 OPAC을 통하여 모든 정보원을 검색하고 학술지 원문까지 입수할 수 있다.

이 연구는 국제적 규모의 종합목록인 WorldCat을 전 세계 도서관에서 특정한 주제 관련 지식자원 분포 현황의 분석 도구로서 활용할 수 있는 가능성을 검토하는 것을 그 목적으로 하였다. Korea, Korean, Japan과 Japanese라는 네 개의 주제 키워드를 사용하여 검색한 서지레코드를 매체, 장르, 언어 패싯을 사용하여 '한국'과 '일본' 관련 지식자원의 분포 현황과 특성을 기술하였다. 전 세계 도서관에 한국 관련 지식자원의 소장규모는 일본 관련 자원의 절반에 못 미치고, 특히 청소년 대상 자료는 규모 및 매체, 언어, 장르 등 특성 면에서 일본 관련 자료보다 제한적이며 다양성이 적었다. 또한 두 건의 서지레코드 사례를 검토하여 이용자 서평 등의 내용이 관련 지식 확산에 영향을 미칠 수도 있음을 추론하였다.
