In this study, measuring eye movements with E.O.G. to targets beyond 20$^{\circ}$ from fixation point, results are as follows. (1) When the eyes turn toward targets of more than 20$^{\circ}$ eccentricity, the first saccadic eye movement falls short of the target. The presence of image of the target off the fovea(visual error signal) subsequent to such an undershoot elicits, after short interval, corrective saccadic eye movements(usually one) which place the image of the target on the fovea. (2) There are different programming modes at retina for eye movement to targets within and beyond 20$^{\circ}$ from the fixation point. (3) Saccadic system, preparing the direction and amplitude of eye movement completes the corrective saccadic eye movements. (4) Distribution of latency and intersaccadic interval(I.S.I.)are frequently multi modal, with a seperation between modes of 25[msec]. (5) There are two types of saccadic eye movements for the double-step targets. This fact suggests that the visual information is sampled stochastically. (6) The new model of saccadic system including the dissociation of visual functions dependent on retinal eccentricity is required.

While the fifth generation (5G) and beyond 5G (B5G) mobile communication networks are being rolled over the globe, several world-wide companies have already started to prepare the sixth generation (6G). Such 6G mobile networks targets ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC). In this paper, we challenge to reduce the inherent latency of existing non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) in 5G networks of massive connectivity. First, we propose the novel unipodal binary pulse amplitude modulation (2PAM) NOMA, especially without SIC, which greatly reduce the latency in existing NOMA. Then, the achievable data rates for the unipodal 2PAM NOMA are derived. It is shown that for unequal gain channels, the sum rate of the unipodal 2PAM NOMA is comparable to that of the standard 2PAM NOMA, whereas for equal gain channels, the sum rate of the unipodal 2PAM NOMA is superior to that of the standard 2PAM NOMA. In result, the unipodal 2PAM could be a promising modulation scheme for NOMA systems toward 6G.

Recently, fifth generation (5G) networks are being deployed in phases all over the world, the paradigm has shifted to developing the next generation wireless technologies, which have grown exponentially in last few decades, wireless networks are promising for the demand to enormous connections. Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) are considered as the key technoloies for next-generation beyond 5G (B5G) and sixth generation (6G) networks, in which IRS can play an important advance in the wireless propagation environment, and NOMA can effectively increase massive connectivity to improve user fairness. In this paper, we analyze a performance on the strongest channel user in terms of achievable data rates numerically. Then, with the achievable data rates, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gain is calculated for the IRS-NOMA network over the conventional NOMA network. As a consequence, IRS-NOMA schemes have been considered as some key technologies.

Healthcare organizations are overwhelmingly embracing smart value-based care strategies, which focuses on providing superior treatment at a significantly lower cost and quality of service (QoS). For these purposes, fifth generation (5G) of mobile service provides an innumerable improvement that clearly outperforms previous generations e.g., 3G and 4G. However, as with most advancements, 5G is projected to introduce new challenges, prompting the community to think about what comes next. This research was conducted to examine the most recent smart 5G technology applications and the solutions they provide to the healthcare industry. Finally, the paper discusses how the upcoming 6G technology has the potential to transform the future of healthcare sector even beyond the current 5G systems.

At a time when the 5G era is advancing beyond commercialization, places that used to handle simple logistics warehouse tasks are transforming into smart logistics warehouses by combining IT convergence technology and platforms. Smart logistics warehouses can accurately predict demand and inventory of products with AI, deep learning, and robot technologies based on 5G, and provide information on warehousing and warehousing status in real time. As the e-commerce market grows, the smart logistics sector is also growing rapidly. This paper implements a smart logistics warehouse system and studies and proposes a method of establishing a fast and accurate logistics system by utilizing 5G-based Logistics Automation Robot.
Shannon and Weaver's semantic communication has been actively studied in recent years as a new communication method to provide intelligent mobile services without requiring more capacity, infrastructure, and energy, even with limited radio resources. Considered a breakthrough beyond the Shannon paradigm, semantic communication aims at successfully transmitting semantic information conveyed by a source rather than accurately receiving each symbol or bit, regardless of meaning. Thus, semantic communication can lead to knowledgeable systems that significantly reduce data traffic because the transmitter only transmits the necessary information related to a specific task. This study describes essential differences between existing and semantic communication, research trends related to semantic communication principles and theory, performance metrics of semantic communication, semantic communication system framework, and future research and development issues.

In the fifth generation (5G) and beyond 5G (B5G) mobile communication, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has attracted great attention due to higher spectral efficiency and massive connectivity. We investigate the impacts of the channel estimation errors on the bit-error rate (BER) of NOMA, especially with the single-user decoding (SUD) receiver, which does not perform successive interference cancellation (SIC), in contrast to the conventional SIC NOMA scheme. First, an analytical expression of the BER for SUD NOMA with channel estimation errors is derived. Then, it is demonstrated that the BER performance degrades severely up to the power allocation less than about 20%. Additionally, we show that for the fixed power allocation of 10% in such power allocation range, the signal-to-noise (SNR) loss owing to channel estimation errors is about 5 dB. As a consequence, the channel estimation error should be considered for the design of the SUD NOMA scheme.
In this paper, a video conferencing system, which has been attracting significant attention as an immersive telepresence service owing to the recent emergence of 5G networks, is described. We propose a service platform for Giga Media based video conferencing for 5G convergence services. The video conferencing service consists of a traditional structure that provides information exchange through the transmission of video and voice of remote participants using a Multipoint Control Unit (MCU), a browser-based video conferencing based on WebRTC, a multi-view point video conferencing, and holographic telepresence centered on mixed reality. The paper introduces the trends and detailed structures of various technologies used in the video conferencing system, and compares the video conferencing system technologies and video conferencing service characteristics for the integrated Giga Media platform.

Nowadays, the advanced smart convergences of the artificial intelligence (AI) and the internet of things (IoT) have been more and more important, in the fifth generation (5G) and beyond 5G (B5G) mobile communication. In 5G and B5G mobile networks, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has been extensively investigated as one of the most promising multiple access (MA) technologies. In this paper, we investigate the achievable data rate for the asymmetric binary pulse amplitude modulation (2PAM), in non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). First, we derive the closed-form expression for the achievable data rate of the asymmetric 2PAM NOMA. Then it is shown that the achievable data rate of the asymmetric 2PAM NOMA reduces for the stronger channel user over the entire range of power allocation, whereas the achievable data rate of the asymmetric 2PAM NOMA increases for the weaker channel user improves over the power allocation range less than 50%. We also show that the sum rate of the asymmetric 2PAM NOMA is larger than that of the conventional standard 2PAM NOMA, over the power allocation range larger than 25%. In result, the asymmetric 2PAM could be a promising modulation scheme for NOMA of 5G systems, with the proper power allocation.

In this paper the analytical method, namely advanced minimum coupling loss(A-MCL), was proposed in order to analyze the coexistence of OFDM-based systems beyond 3G(B3G) with point-to point(PP) fixed service(FS) microwave systems. Our proposed method is based on a power spectral density(PSD) analysis. So it can be easily applicable to analyze the coexistence of OFDM-based systems B3G using flexible spectrum usage(FSU) with other systems, where the conventional MCL method cannot allocate transmit power partially to some subcarriers which overlap the band of a victim system. By applying the conventional MCL method and the A-MCL method, interfering power levels at the receiver of a interfered system are respectively calculated. A-MCL can calculate interference power more accurately than MCL by the maximum value of 4.5 dB. Therefore it can be concluded that our prosed method, namely A-MCL, is applicable to a sharing analysis of OFDM-based systems B3G.
