  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to define and clarify the concept of volition for health behavior. Methods: For this study the process of Walker & Avant's concept analysis was used. Seventeen studies from electronic data basses met criteria for selection. Results: Volition can be defined by the following attributes: 1) planning, 2) maintenance of self-efficacy, and 3) self regulation. The antecedents of volition consisted of: 1) risk awareness, 2) outcome expectation, 3) perceived self-efficacy, and 4) social support. The consequences occurring as a result of volition were: 1) prevention of disability and complications, 2) improvement of functional ability, and 3) enhencement of quailty of life. Conclusion: Definition and attributes of volition identified by this results can be applied to develop measurements and intervention programs for chronic patients health behavior.

  • Automatic detection of estrus in cows is important in cattle management. This paper proposes a method of estrus detection by automatically checking cattle mounting. We use a side-view video camera and apply computer vision techniques to detect mounting behavior. In particular, we extract motion information to select a potential mount-up and mount-down motion and then verify the true mounting behavior by considering the direction, magnitude, and history of the mount motion. From experimental results using video data obtained from a Korean native cattle farm, we believe that the proposed method based on the abrupt change of a mounting cow's height and motion history information can be utilized for detecting mounting behavior automatically, even in the case of fence occlusion.

  • This study was conducted to analyze factors Influencing Protective Behavior against Radiation Exposure using questionnaires for 231 radiological technologists working in Computed Tomography(CT) examination room with high radiation dose in diagnostic radiology field. Statistical analysis of the collected data revealed that the reasons for partially shielding the examination part in the CT scan were the lack of protective equipment, securing of radiation justification, being annoying and maybe not being harm to adults in order. It was also revealed that the variables influencing the protective behavior were protective behavior against radiation harm, self-efficacy, protective environment, organization culture, protective knowledge and protective instrument in order. The higher the radiological protective environment(${\beta}=0.245$) and the lower the radiological protective knowledge(${\beta}=-0.034$), the more influential the protective behavior against radiation harm was. In this study, it was shown that non examination parts were not shielded in the CT scan. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the level of protective environment, to cultivate knowledge to improve the protective behavior against radiation harm and to have an intervention strategy for concrete action.

  • In the recently, violent crime and accidental crime has been generated continuously. Consequently, people anxiety has been heightened. The Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) has been used to ensure the security and evidence for the crimes. However, the video captured from CCTV has being used in the post-processing to apply to the evidence. In this paper, we propose a flexible multi-level models for estimating whether dangerous behavior and the environment and context for pedestrians. The situation analysis builds the knowledge for the pedestrians tracking. Finally, the decision step decides and notifies the threat situation when the behavior observed object is determined to abnormal behavior. Thereby, tracking the behavior of objects in a multi-region, it can be seen that the risk of the object behavior. It can be predicted by the behavior prediction of crime.

  • The present study examines the relationship among relationship quality, organizational commitment, and prosocial behavior. In this study, relationship quality is defined as relationship quality between manager and employee (RQME) and relationship quality between organization and employee (RQOE). The authors also investigate the mediating roles of RQOE and organizational commitment in the conceptual research model. Findings indicate that RQME has a positive and direct effect on RQOE, organizational commitment, and prosocial behavior. The results also show that both RQOE and organizational commitment have a mediating role in the relationship between RQME and prosocial behavior of employees. Finally, the authors found that RQOE influences prosocial behavior through organizational commitment.

  • The purpose of this study was to make a comparative factor analysis of relations between college girls' make-up and clothing behaviors. The results of the study were as follows : 1. Make-up behavior showed the significant differences in accordance with whether doing make-up or not, motives of initiating make-up, sources of make-up information and references and expenses for cosmetics purchase. 2. There were negative correlations between all sub-factors of make-up behavior and the sense of comfort. In clothing behavior, a positive correlation existed between aesthetic sense and fashionableness. In make-up behavior, however, those college students who were more aware of others and considered make-up more important as a means of skin care and self-change regarded aesthetic sense, one of the sub-factors of clothing behavior, as most important.

  • Purpose - This study strives to discern trends in research productivity in the Journal of Consumer Behavior. It will identify prolific authors and institutions in articles over ten years (2004-2013). Research design, data, and methodology - The Journal of Consumer Behavior was chosen and articles over ten years were analyzed. Research productivity was determined by categorizing the data into four themes: number of authors per article, author affiliated institutions, a list of prolific authors over a ten-year period, and author-affiliated countries. Results - Authors have a propensity to collaborate on a research paper, yielding a high frequency of articles with two or three authors in a single publication. In addition, author and institution productivity was highest in North America and Europe. Conclusions - The research productivity of the Journal of Consumer Behavior is unprecedented. The trends and insights from this study will allow academics in the area of consumer behavior to observe leading authors and institutions. Moreover, speculations about the leading countries and institutions, not to mention top prolific authors in consumer behavior, will be elucidated in this study.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to propose and to test a predictive model that could explain and predict the health promotion behavior of obese school-age children in Korea. Methods: Participants for this study were 365 students from 13 elementary schools located in Jeonbuk Province, Korea. The data were analyzed using SPSS 15.0 program and Amos 7.0 program. Results: The results verified the factors that influence health promotion behavior of the participants. Important direct factors were prior health-related behavior, perceived self-efficacy, and commitment to a plan of action and indirect factors were perceived barrier and activity-related effect. These factors explained 75.3% of variance in the participants' health promotion behavior. The proposed model was concise and extensive in predicting health promotion behavior of the participants. Conclusion: Findings may provide useful assistance in developing effective nursing interventions for maintaining and promoting health promotion behavior in obese school-age children.

  • With the radical change of business environment, all service companies' employees are forced to provide many customers with high service quality every day, and the extra role(or organizational citizenship behavior) is more imperative than other industry. The purpose of this paper is to introduce Luthans & Kreitner's Organizational Behavior Modification(OB Mod) model to improve organizational citizenship behavior and service quality. With analyzing the relationships among target behavior(service quality), antecedents(OCB), and consequences(customer satisfaction), this paper reviewed OB Mod's 5 stages; identifying, measuring, functional analysis of the behavior, development of an intervention strategy, evaluation. This model has found to be useful in finding and improving troublesome employee behaviors in USA, but not been verified in Korea. Thus it is recommended to review the difference of organizational culture and practices before introducing the model.
