현장 불평형 응답을 이용한 로터-베어링 시스템의 매개변수 규명연구 (A Study on Identifying Dynamic Characteristic Parameters of Rotor Bearing Systems Using Field Measurement Data of Unbalance Responses)

  • Presented in this paper is a new method of identifying the critical speed of rotor-bearing systems without actually reaching at the critical speed itself. Using the method, it is not only possible to calculate the critical speed by measuring a series of rotor responses at much lower rotating speeds away from and without reaching at the critical speeds but also the damping ratio and eccentricity of the system can be identified at the same time. Two types of test rotors were tested on the Rotor Dynamics Test Facility at the Rotordyn-amics Lab, KIMM, and the theory has been confirmed experimentally. The method can be adopted to monitor changes of the dynamic characteristics of critical rotating machinery before and after overhauls, repairs, exchanges of various parts, or to detect trends of direction of subtle changes in the dynamic characteristic parameters over a long periods of time.

  • In this paper, an influence of inlet pressure on the running characteristics of tilting pad thrust bearing is studied by a numerical analysis. The inlet pressure is obtained from the extended Bernoulli equation including the loss coefficient which is varied with the operating conditions. The running characteristic parameters such as the minimum film thickness, the film pressure and the film thickness ratios are calculated for various runner speeds with constant load in particular two pivot positions. The results are shown that the inlet pressure has a large influence on the minimum film thickness and other running characteristic parameters.

  • When the structure supporting the rotor as well as the rotor itself is in the resonant range, it cause the vibration problem. Although the static characteristics of structures was considered during the design process, we must consider the resonance problem between the excitation(the main revolution frequency of the rotor) between the dynamic characteristics of its structures. This paper presents we improved the dynamic characteristic of a bearing support system to remove a resonance problem so that stabilized the turbine-generator system.

  • 저널 베어링은 샤프트와 베어링이 윤활유를 사이에 두고 서로 미끄러지는 유체윤활 상태에서 운동하고 있으며, 넓은 마찰 면에 하중을 분산하여 받기 때문에 큰 힘을 받을 수 있다. 저널 베어링이 유체 윤활 상태에서 원활한 동작으로 운전되기 위해서는 저널 베어링의 표면에 오일 구멍이나 오일 홈을 더하여 베어링 틈새로 충분한 윤활유가 공급되어야 한다. 이러한 급유 홈의 형상이나 크기 및 급유 위치에 따라 베어링의 성능이 달라진다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 여러 급유 조건 중 저널 베어링의 오일 홈의 형상(삼각형, 사각형, 반원형)에 따른 유량을 측정하여, 어느 형상에서 가장 많은 유량을 토출하는지 알아봄으로써, 저널 베어링을 설계하는데 최적의 성능을 나타내는 홈의 형태를 파악하고자 하였다. 온도가 낮을수록 유량이 많으며, 회전수가 높아질수록 온도의 영향이 작아지고, 삼각형의 오일 홈일 때 유량이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다.

  • Electronically controlled magnetic bearings offer two major advantages over conventional ball bearings: there is no mechanical wear, and the shaft position is under precision control. The former characteristic is useful in rotary systems, which require reliability under maintenance-free conditions. In this paper, we introdue development tendency and technology of magnetic bearing.

  • Friction characteristic of an engine crankshaft bearing is affected by revolution speed, applied loads, and viscosity of lubrication. So, experimental investigation is required to observe the friction characteristics using these factors. Hydraulic cylinder, servo controller system which can be modified the applied load, and test rig for the observation of the characteristics of engine crankshaft bearings were designed and fabricated, and some experiments were performed. Friction torque, journal locus and circumferential temperature variation of crankshaft bearing were measured according to applied load, revolution speed, and oil inlet temperature.

  • In this paper, we consider variable structure controller design of a active magnetic bearing(AMB). In particular, we design a switching hyperplane, considering coupling characteristic among each magnet. This method is designed by applying decentralized control method. Controller design consist of two factors that is, one is linear control part to drive state variables to zero asymptotically and the other is a nonlinear controller part to maintain within neighborhood of switching hyperplane. Finally, A control method designed here is checked by simulation, which shows good results.

  • Due to the lack of stiffness and difficulties of control, it is hard to achieve well balanced magnetic levitation. In this paper, we analysis the current and position stiffness change according to bias current through experiment. Then, compensation equations were presented. After obtaining PD gain for each bias current and PD gain region through levitation experiment, we consider the characteristics.
