  • We investigated the diffraction grating efficiency by the DPSS laser beam wavelength to improve the diffraction efficiency on AsGeSeS & Ag/ AsGeSeS thin film. Diffraction efficiency was obtained from DPSS(532nm)(P:P)polarized laser beam on AsGeSeS, Ag/ AsGeSeS and AsGeSeS/Ag/AsGeSeS thin films. As a result, for the laser beam intensity, 0.24 mW, single AsGeSeS thin film shows the highest value of 0.161% diffraction efficiency at 300 s and for 2.4 mW, it was recorded with the fastest speed of 50 s, which the diffraction grating forming speed is faster than that of 0.24 mW beam. Ag/ AsGeSeS and AsGeSeS/ Ag/ AsGeSeS multi-layered thin film also show the faster grating forming speed at 2.4 mW and higher value of diffraction efficiency at 0.24 mW.

Enhanced Adhesion of Cu Film on the Aluminum Oxide by Applying an Ion-beam-mixd Al Seed Layar

  • Adhesion of Copper film on the aluminum oxide layer formed by anodizing an aluminum plate was enhanced by applying ion beam mixing method. Forming an conductive metal layer on the insulating oxide surface without using adhesive epoxy bonds provide metal-PCB(Printed Circuit Board) better thermal conductivities, which are crucial for high power electric device working condition. IBM (Ion beam mixing) process consists of 3 steps; a preliminary deposition of an film, ion beam bombardment, and additional deposition of film with a proper thickness for the application. For the deposition of the films, e-beam evaporation method was used and 70 KeV N-ions were applied for the ion beam bombardment in this work. Adhesions of the interfaces measured by the adhesive tape test and the pull-off test showed an enhancement with the aid of IBM and the adhesion of the ion-beam-mixed films were commercially acceptable. The mixing feature of the atoms near the interface was studied by scanning electron microscopy, Auger electron spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

굽힘 강도 향상을 위한 프레스 도어 임팩트 빔의 단면 설계 (The Section Design of Press Door Impact Beam for Improving Bending Strength)

  • The door impact beam of the side-impacted vehicle plays a key role in securing occupant safety by preventing intrusion from the impacting vehicle. Despite the low production cost, the press door impact beam has been adopted sparingly because of the strength inferiority. In this study, the design technologies of the press beam aimed at improving bending strength were investigated. First, the effect of the section shape and size was examined. Next, thickness and material strength were increased. Also, the TRB beam application was simulated by varying combined thickness. Some TRB beams with reduced weight exhibited bending strength over the strength of the pipe beam. Then, the beam with a closed center section also showed remarkably enhanced maximum bending strength.

Experimental damage identification of cantilever beam using double stage extended improved particle swarm optimization

  • This article proposes a new methodology for identifying beam damage based on changes in modal parameters using the Double Stage Extended Improved Particle Swarm Optimization (DSEIPSO) technique. A finite element code is first developed in MATLAB to model an ideal beam structure based on classical beam theory. An experimental study is then performed on a laboratory-scale beam, and the modal parameters are extracted. An improved version of the PSO algorithm is employed to update the finite element model based on the experimental measurements, representing the real structure and forming the baseline model for all further damage detection. Subsequently, structural damages are introduced in the experimental beam. The DSEIPSO algorithm is then utilized to optimize the objective function, formulated using the obtained mode shapes and the natural frequencies from the damaged and undamaged beams to identify the exact location and extent of the damage. Experimentally obtained resultsfrom a simple cantilever beam are used to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The illustrated results show the effectiveness of the proposed method for structural damage detection in the SHM field.

  • The roll forming process is often used to manufacture long, thin-walled products such as a pipe. The final cross-section is a comparatively simple open-channel, a closed tube section or a complex profile with several bends. In recent years, that process is often applied to the bumper beam in the automotive industries. In this study, a optimal Center Floor Cross Member manufacturing technology, model deign and proper roll-pass sequences can be suggested by forming number of roll-pass and bending angle, and also effects of the process parameters on the final shape formed by roll forming defects were evaluated.

  • Today's automotive industry is evolving toward low-emissions or zero-emissions high-efficiency vehicles. Highly efficient power sources are required, as well as high strength steels for various parts to increase safety. In this study, we investigated the roll-forming process for the development of high strength, lightweight steel bumper beams. The roll-forming process was analyzed using the software package Shape-RF in combination with a rigid-plastic finite element method model. An optimal roll-forming process based on roll-pass was obtained using finite element method simulations.

춤이 큰 고성능 하이브리드 합성보의 휨성능 평가 (Bending Performance Evaluation of Hybrid Forming Composite Beam with High Depth)

  • 최근 강재가격 하락과 인건비 상승으로 강구조 및 합성구조의 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 보 춤이 큰 고성능 하이브리드 합성보에 대해 10개의 실험체를 제작하여 휨성능을 평가하였다. 휨 실험 결과 공칭하중에 대한 최대하중의 비($P_u/P_n$)는 평균 1.19배로 안정적인 내력을 확보하였으며, 변형능력(${\delta}_{0.8P_u}/{\delta}_y$)은 약 3.9~4.5배의 범위로 확인되었다. 또한 하이브리드 합성보의 내력평가는 현행 건축구조기준(KBC 2009)을 적용하여 평가하는 것이 적절한 것으로 판단된다.

Amplitude Filter와 Phase Filter가 결합된 광학계의 결상특성

  • Amplitude filter와 phase filter가 결합된 CFAP(Combined Filter of Amplitude and Phase)의 결상 특성을 조사하기 위해 Bessel beam을 도입하였다. 이 논문에서는 무수차계와 수차를 포함하는 광학계에 대한 PSF와 encircled energy(E), transmission ratio(TR), gain(G)을 Bessel beam의 node수에 따라 계산하였다. 이 결과 Bessel beam은 amplitude filter와 다른 PSF 특성을 보였으며, 또한 구면수차가 포함된 경우 compensating effect가 크게 나타났다. 특히 Bessel beam의 central spot의 size가 Airy disk 반경보다 적게 나타나므로, 고집적 반도체 소자 제작에 이용가능하리라 생각된다.

높은 조향 정확도 및 부엽 제어가 가능한 다중 빔 형성 연구 (Study on Multibeam Forming with Improved Accuracy of Steering Angle and Sidelobe Control)

  • 본 논문에서는 마이크로파 무선전력전송에 적용될 수 있는 여러 다중 빔 형성 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 다중 빔 형성방법은 능동소자패턴(active element pattern: AEP)을 고려하지 않기 때문에 실제 시스템에 적용 시 의도한 빔 형성과 오차가 발생하게 된다. 이를 해결하기 위해 능동소자패턴의 평균을 고려하는 방법과, 변형된 푸리에 급수 방법을 통해 모든 능동소자패턴을 고려하는 방법이 제안되었다. 또한, 부엽과 null 제어를 위하여 Dolph-Tschebyscheff 방법에 중첩의 원리를 적용하여 다중 빔을 형성하는 방식을 제안하였다. 제안된 방식을 사용하여 다중 빔 형성 시 의도된 빔 형성과의 오차가 감소하는 것을 확인하였으며, 다중 빔 형성을 하며 부엽 제어를 동시에 할 수 있는 것을 확인하였다.
