수정란이식의 산업화 방안 (Industrial Application of Embryo Transfer in Korea)

  • Animal in dustry in Korea urgently needs the domestic introduction and the industrial a, pp.ication of embryo transfer technique. Namely, this technique can be utilized effectively, as means of the improvement of livestocks, as means of the increase of meat production, as means of substitute for the livestock import, and dissemination of new breed. However, as this technique avaliable in our country is remaining initial stage, we can not make use of the technique industrially unless we make much improvement as follows; induction of superovulation, non-surgical recovery of embryos, synchronization between the estrus such cycles of donor and recipient, non-surgical transfer of embryos, etc. Simultaneously, the basic studies such as harvesting oocytes from ovary, in vitro culture of oocytes, in vitro capacitation of spermatozoa, cloning by culture of blastomeres and transfer of nuclei, sexing embryo, etc. should not be neglected in order to make the technique of embryo transfer more simple and convenient. For the success of these studies, universities, national and public institutes, large scale cattle farms, and small scale cattle farms should cooperate each other. For instance, universities undertake basic researches, and the national and public institutes a, pp.y the results of the researches to animal industry along with cooperation by large scale cattle farms. By the help of the cooperative organizations, the technique relevant to our environment and farm condition may be able to be finalized, and to be a, pp.ied to samll scale cattle farm. Consequently, being served to stimulate animal productivity, this technique can be contributed to the development of livestock industry in Korea.

  • Many countermeasures are presented to make excessive earth circumstance pollution better in the earth. A lot of researches are in progress to lessen $CO_2$ among the industries exhausting it. The industries manufacturing cement are making many countermeasures. Many concernments on ECO-friendly materials, rather than cement, are increased, and researches are in progress to develop them. Lime, material mostly used before Portland cement appeared, attracts the Occident as well as the Orient. In the Occident, lime mortar was used in common, for maintaining and repairing cultural properties, too. This study is aimed at offering basic materials for the modern use of lime, ECO-friendly material. This study measured the change of intensity and weight with lime, sand, and earth, basic materials of Samhoimool. As a result, at the beginning, hydrated lime displayed its density late, but as time was gone, density was promoted continuously. In addition, density was promoted, when it was given heat at the beginning. If heat-generation reaction of quicklime and water was used, density was promoted at the beginning, but liquidity showed a drop.

미국 동기관계연구의 최근동향 - 기본인식과 접근방법- (Current States of Sibling Researches in America)

  • The purpose of this review is to establish a groundwork for building a more comprehensive conceptual framework within which various aspects of sibling relations and factor related to sibling behaviors con be explained and integrated. Descriptions of the trends and shifts in sibling studies are made in terms of their themes, variables, basic perceptions and general approaches, and analyzes of current state of sibling researches are made with relation to the conceptual aspects of the studies, namely, their standpoints on the issues of sibling variations, the sources of variations, and basic units of analysis, their reliance or emphasis on different methods, and their interests in the mediation processes. It is recognized that research variables have been successively differentiated and used in diversified manners and family ecology and systems theory viewpoints have been incorporated into the understanding of sibling relations. A triad in its full meaning, rather than a dyad or a partial trial, is proposed as a unit of analysis in order for the researchers to be able to examine and describe the true interactional aspects of family relations involving sibling relations. The concepts of coexistence and interaction are proposed as key concepts os that the inconsistencies in findings, differing viewpoints, contradicting conceptions , and contrasting approaches can be interpreted and integrated into a unified system of theories on siblings. The coexistence of similarities and differences in reality. the inevitability of interaction between individual variables and environmental variables and between within-family environmental factors and our-of-family environmental factors, and the need for the joint use of intrafamilial and extrafamilial approach are acknowledged. Attention is also drawn to the mechanism characteristics and the directionality of the mediating processes of mediating variables between a variable and its effects.

  • This paper is a study on mathematical aspects that can be basic for understanding and applying the contents of machine learning. If you are familiar with mathematics in the field of computer science, you can create algorithms that can diversify researches and implement them faster, so you can implement many real-life ideas. There is no curriculum standard for mathematics in the field of machine learning, and there are many absolutely lacking mathematical contents that are taught in the curriculum presented at existing universities. Machine learning now includes speech recognition systems, search engines, automatic driving systems, process automation, object recognition, and more. Many applications that you want to implement combine a large amount of data with many variables into the components that the programmer generates. In this course, the mathematical areas required for computer engineer (CS) practitioners and computer engineering educators have become diverse and complex. It is important to analyze the mathematical content required by engineers and educators and the mathematics required in the field. This paper attempts to present an effective range design for the essential processes from the basic education content to the deepening education content for the development of many researches.

토양환경분야 연구동향 및 전망 (Future Directions and Perspectives on Soil Environmental Researches)

  • This paper reviews the future directions and perspectives on the soil environmental researches in the 21 century. Previously, the principal emphasis of soil environmental researches had put on the enhancement of food and fiber productions. Beside the basic function of soil, however, the societal needs on soil resources in the 21st century have demands for several environmental and social challenges, occurring regionally or globally. Typical global issues with which soil science should deal include food security with increasing agronomic production to meet the exploding world population growth, adaptation and mitigation of climate change, increase of the carbon sequestration, supply of the biomass and bioenergy, securing the water resource and quality, protection of environmental pollution, enhancing the biodiversity and ecosystem health, and developing the sustainable farming/cropping system that improve the use efficiency of water and agricultural resources. These challenges can be solved through the sustainable crop production intensification (SCPI) or plant welfare concept in which soil plays a key role in solving the abovementioned global issues. Through implementation of either concept, soil science can fulfill the goal of the modern agriculture which is the sustainable production of crops while maintaining or enhancing the ecosystem function, quality and health. Therefore, directions of the future soil environmental researches should lie on valuing soil as an ecosystem services, translating research across both temporal and spatial scales, sharing and using data already available for other purposes, incorporating existing and new technologies from other disciplines, collaborating across discipline, and translating soil research into information for stakeholders and end users. Through the outcomes of these approaches, soil can enhance the productivity from the same confined land, increase profitability, conserve natural resource, reduce the negative impact on environment, enhance human nutrition and health, and enhance natural capital and the flow of ecosystem services. Soil is the central dogma, final frontier and new engine for the era of sustainability development in the $21^{st}$ century and thus soil environmental researches should be carried according to this main theme.

  • Microfluidic technologies hold high promise and emerge as a potential molecular tool to facilitate the progress of fundamental and applied biomedical researches by enabling miniaturization and upgrading current biological research tools. In this review, we summarize the state of the art of existing microfluidic technologies and its' application for characterizing biophysical properties of individual cells. Microfluidic devices offer significant advantages and ability to handle in integrating sample processes, minimizing sample and reagent volumes, and increased analysis speed. Therefore, we first present the basic concepts and summarize several achievements in new coupling between microfluidic devices and mass spectrometers. Secondly, we discuss the recent applications of microfluidic chips in various biological research field including cellular and molecular level. Finally, we present the current challenge of microfluidic technologies and future perspective in this study field.

  • IT산업과 공간디자인의 융합에 관한 종합적이고 체계적인 기본 자료를 마련하기 위하여 시도된, 본 연구의 목적은 웹과 연계된 공간디자인 분야의 연구 흐름을 분석하고, 연구 카테고리별 동향을 파악하는 것이다. 연구결과, 최근 5년간 웹과 연계된 공간디자인 연구는 감소를 보이고 있으나 새로운 가능성이 잠재된 상태로 분석된다. 초기의 다양한 디자인 정보에 대한 데이터베이스 구축 시도에서 최근에는 공간디자인교육과 디자인프로세스 측면의 IT기술과의 융합시도가 증가하고 있고, 공간 거주자는 디자인과 관리에 이르기까지 능동적 참여자로 변화하고 있으며, 환경적 측면에서 건물의 예측 및 관리에 대한 연구도 성장하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 근거하여 창의적 교육과 디자인프로세스, 친환경적 IT기술의 공간디자인 접목에 대한 다양한 연구와 정책적 지원이 요구된다.

Genesis of Researches on Surges in Pumping Systems in Japan

  • Researches on the mechanism of surging and the surge behaviors in the systems of pumps, or fans or compressors, and the effects of flow-paths had been initiated and had made a great progress in Japan in the decades from the nineteen-forties to the nineteen-sixties. In 1947, the essential cause of the surges, i.e., self-excited oscillation nature of the flow-system, was discovered analytically by Professor Sumiji Fujii of Tokyo University, and most of the characteristic behaviors of the phenomena had been explained clearly. Successive studies by many other Japanese researchers continued to prove experimentally the mechanism, to extend the analytical studies, and to attempt preventing surge occurrence, etc. in the following two decades. The historical information on the early surge studies could be helpful to some concerned people. At the same time, the basic and plain ways of discussions and reasoning about the phenomena in the pioneering researches could give us much to be learned even in the present time of high-power computing systems. Regrettably, many of the original research works have been published only in Japanese. The present review introduces very briefly the situations in memories of the pioneering researchers and engineers.

  • 최근 들어 세계 시장에서의 자유무역협정 (FTA) 때문에 식품의 원산지에 대한 소비자들의 관심이 증가하여 왔다. 특히 국내에서는 광우병과 관련하여 쇠고기 원산지 판별을 위한 분석법의 개발이 시급하게 인식 되었다. 우리나라는 많은 나라와 FTA 체결을 앞두고 있으며, 식품의 원산지를 구별하는 것은 국가적으로 중요한 문제가 되었다. 다양한 나라에서 생산된 식품의 원산지를 구분하는 자료를 얻기 위한 최근의 많은 연구에서 여러 가지 분석방법이 이용되어 왔다. 이 논문에서는 안정동위원소를 이용하여 식품의 원산지를 추적하고 진위를 감별한 국내외 연구결과들을 정리하였다. 동위원소 기술이 향상되고 적용되면 식품의 원산지에 대한 유익한 정보를 제공함과 더불어 식품의 원산지 표시를 속여 부당한 이익을 취하거나 부당 거래를 하는 행위를 찾아 낼 수 있는 훌륭한 도구로서 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 앞으로 이러한 동위원소 분석 기술을 활용하여 수입 식품에 대한 원산지 추적 연구가 활발히 진행될 수 있기를 기대해 본다.

표준한방처방 EBM 구축을 위한 이진탕 문헌 연구 분석 (Systematic Studies on Yijin-tang(Erchen-tang) for Establishment of Evidence Based Medicine)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this report was to provide the information activity and safety of Yijin-tang by analyzing domestic/international papers and theses about Yijin-tang. Methods : Domestic/international papers and theses related to Yijin-tang were reviewed and analyzed. These papers were then classified by year, experimental method and subject. Results : 1. Administration of Yijin-tang showed therapeutic effects on diseases of the circulatory system such as thrombosis and hyperlipisemia in in vivo experiments. 2. Administration of Yijin-tang reduced hemorrhagic erosion and ulcer by inhibition of gastric juice secretion and protection effect of gastric mucosa in in vivo experiments. 3. Both clinical and basic science researches, Administration of Yijin-tang showed improvement of digestive function by up-regulated of digestive enzyme and gut-regulated protein in plasma levels. Conclusions : Administration of Yijin-tang showed therapeutic effects on diseases of the circulatory system and protection effect of gastric mucosa in in vivo experiments. Furthermore, both clinical and basic science researches, administration of Yijin-tang showed improvement of digestive function.
