접착제층의 전단과 법선변형 효과를 고려한 적층판의 진동감쇠특성 연구 (Analytical and Experimental Study on the Damping of Vibrating Layered Plates Including the Effects of Shear and Thickness Deformation of the Adhesive Layer)

  • 본 연구에서는 탄성, 점탄성 및 탄성박판으로 이루어진 복합적층구조물의 진 동특성을 해석함에 있어서 모재 및 구속재의 길이방향변위, 회전관성 그리고 전단변형 의 영향과 접착제의 법선 및 전단변형의 영향을 고려한 계의 운동방정식을 연립 1계 미분방정식의 형태로 유도하고 수치계산 결과를 실험과 비교하였다. 그리고 구속재 와 접착제의 두께변화에 따라서 접착제의 법선 및 전단변형이 계의 감쇠특성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다.

연화부를 포함한 판재의 항복거동과 항복강도 (Yielding behavior and yield strength of plate structure containing softened region)

  • Welded joint often contains soft or softened regions such as the HAZ of TMCP steel welded with high heat input. In this study, the equivalent yield strength of plate structure containing softened region was predicted by FEM analysis, and its incremental behavior was explained with the results of the analysis. The calculated results of yield strength indicated the following for the plate structures. 1) As the softened region starts to yield, shear stress begins to build up along the boundary between base metal and softened region. This results in multi-axial stress condition which gives restraint on the softened region. 2) Restraint effect has a significant influence on the distribution of the shear stress, the nominal stress, and the strain. 3) The yielding behavior of softened region becomes the same as that of base metal when both ratios of length to width and thickness to width of softened region are larger than 30 and 13 respectively.

히트싱크 베이스의 두께 변화가 방열성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the variation of base thickness on the heat release performance of the heat sink)

  • 본 연구는 고용량 인버터 등의 열 발생 환경에서 히트싱크의 방열성능을 극대화하기 위한 파라미터 연구의 일환으로 히트싱크 베이스 두께 변화에 대한 방열성능 변화를 조사하였다. 베이스 두께가 각각 5, 9.5 및 14 mm인 히트싱크의 방열성능을 히트싱크 베이스의 윗면 중앙 온도, 히트싱크를 통한 방열량 및 열원부의 온도 등의 세 가지 지표의 비교를 통하여 고찰하였다. 실험연구와 전산유체역학 프로그램을 이용한 해석연구를 병행하여 베이스 두께 변화에 따른 각 방열 성능 지표에 변화가 있음을 확인하였다. 베이스의 윗면 중앙 온도와 방열율은 베이스의 두께가 얇을수록 향상되는 효과를 보였고, 베이스 열원부의 온도는 베이스의 두께가 두꺼울수록 낮아지는 경향을 보였다. 성능 지표의 비교 고찰을 통해 연구에 사용된 세 히트싱크 내에서는 베이스의 두께가 9.5 mm인 히트싱크에서 최적점이 나타났다. 따라서 제한적이지만 본 연구결과 내에서는 9.5 mm 두께의 베이스를 가지는 히트싱크가 최적의 방열 성능을 보이는 것으로 판단되었다.

  • This study was performed to obtain a numerical model for a viscous fluid damper from an experimental testing. The input signals for displacement were chosen as two types : a triangular and a sinusoidal forms. The performing test parameters were the area of the resistant plate, relative velocity between resistant plate and base plate, oil film thickness of the viscous fluid, but the temperature effect was neglected. The numerical model was established by assuming an non-Newtonian fluid behavior. The test results were summarized by the equation of F= 0.0308(ν/d)0.5125. Using the obtained for a real structure design was introduced.

Strength degradation of reinforced concrete piers wrapped with steel plates under local corrosion

  • This paper aims to investigate the strength degradation of reinforced concrete piers wrapped with steel plates which corrode at the pier base by employing a three dimensional elasto-plastic finite element formulation. The prediction accuracy of the employed finite element analysis method is firstly verified by comparing the analytical results with test results. Then, a series of parametric studies is carried out to investigate the effects of steel plate's corrosion position along width direction, corrosion depth along plate thickness, corrosion range along width direction, and steel plate-concrete bonding degradation on the strength of the piers. It is observed that the strength degradation of the piers is closely related to steel plate's corrosion position, corrosion depth and corrosion range in the case of local corrosion on the webs. In contrast, when the base of flanges corrodes, the strength degradation of the piers is only related to steel plate's corrosion depth and corrosion range, and the influence of corrosion position on the strength degradation is very gentle. Furthermore, the strength of the piers decreases with the degradation of steel plate-concrete bonding behavior. Finally, the maximum strength of the piers obtained from numerical analysis corresponding to different bonding behavior is compared with theoretical results within an accepted error.

회주철 판형 주조품의 공정 셀 수와 칠 깊이에 미치는 두께, 기본 원소 및 접종제의 영향 (Effects of Thickness, Base Element and Inoculants on the Number of Eutectic Cells and Chill Depth of Gray Cast Iron Plate Casting)

  • The effects of thickness, base element and inoculants on the number of eutectic cells and chill depth of gray cast iron plate casting were investigated. Meanwhile the number of eutectic cells increased by inoculation, chill depth decreased. The former decreased and the latter increased by holding the melt at the temperature range between 1,450 and $1,500^{\circ}C$. The former was more for the thinner casting with the thickness of 5 mm than the other. The result of thermal analysis coincided well with the change of macrostructure. The former increased and the latter decreased with the increased contents of carbon, silicon and the silicon content by inoculation. The former decreased and the latter increased with increased manganese content. The performance of the Superseed Extra was the best among 5 inoculants.

연료전지용 스크롤 공기압축기 개념설계 (Conceptual Design of the Scroll Air Compressor for Fuel Cell)

  • Potential application of the scroll type machine to air compressor for fuel cell has been studied. Among the seven configuration factors which determine scroll wrap profile, the wrap thickness and the orbiting radius were chosen as two independent variables to generate various scroll wrap profiles. A conceptual design practice was conducted for scroll air compressor for SOFC with power output of 2 kW. With larger wrap thickness and orbiting radius, base plate area of the orbiting scroll becomes smaller, so is the axial gas force acting on the base plate, resulting in reduced thrust loss in spite of larger friction velocity. Performance analysis on the designed model showed that its total efficiency was 64.4% with the mass flow rate per unit compressor input of 0.00905 kg/(s kW) for the wrap thickness of 3.5 mm and the orbiting radius of 3.0 mm.

다방향 접합철물 삽입형 기둥-기초 접합부 모멘트 저항성능평가 (Evaluation of Moment Resisting Post-Base Connection Using Multi-directional Connector)

  • The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the moment resistance of glulam post-to-base connections by applying quasi-static cyclic loads. The connectors consisted of inserted plates and drifted pins according to the load direction. The connection types employed in this study were total three including two unidirectional types (H, V) and the multi-directional type (M). The moment resistance of 8 mm-plate M-type is compared to 6 mm plate. Total four types of Post-to-base connection are prepared and tested under pseudo-static reversed cyclic loading. Test results showed that the yield moment of multi-directional connection is about 2 times higher than that uni-directional connections. The ductility ratio of multi-directional connection determined by EEEP was higher that that of uni-directional connection. It was becoming higher as the thickness of plate is increased. The Finite Element Analysis was conducted to estimate the stress distribution behavior of tested connections. Results showed the failure of multi-directional type were caused by the split of pined hole and the shear failure of lifted part of post.

후판 Al 6061합금의 전자빔용접 특성 평가 (The Characteristic Evaluation of Electron Beam Welding for Al 6061 alloy with thick-thickness plate)

  • For the aluminum material of the thick-thickness more than 100mm Penetration depth Electron beam welding is effectively applicable with a characteristic of high energy intensity. But Al 6061 alloy has high crack sensitivity due to minor alloys, which are silicon, magnesium, copper etc. With a sample block of 135mm thickness EBW test was performed in vertical position. As tensile strength has $210{\sim}220N/mm^2$ with weld area broken. Bend test shows low ductility with fracture of partly specimens. Chemical contents of alloys show no difference between weld and base metal. Defect in middle weld area figures out typical hot crack due to low melting materials. Micro structure of weld area has some difference compare to HAZ and base metal. As a result of EBW test for Al 6061 alloy, it shows that weld defect could be occurred even though establishing of optimum weld parameter condition.

축하중을 받는 원통형 쉘의 좌굴강도 (Buckling Strength of Cylindrical Shell Subjected to Axial Loads)

  • 본 연구에서는 수치해석을 통하여 축하중을 받는 원통형 쉘의 좌굴해석을 수행하였다. 해석 식과의 비교를 통하여 수치모델 방법, 적절한 요소의 종류 및 요소의 개수등을 제시하였다. 매개변수 해석결과, 직경/두께비가 증가하면 좌굴응력은 크게 감소하나 높이/직경비가 증가하면 그 변화는 미세하며 이는 일반적인 기둥의 좌굴해석 결과와 상이하다. 높이/직경비가 커질수록 원주방향 좌굴모드의 파장수가 감소하였다. 바닥판의 두께가 증가하면 좌굴응력은 1~2% 증가한다. 따라서 그 영향은 거의 무시할 수 있다. 초기 형상결함의 크기가 증가하면 좌굴응력은 큰 감소를 보인다. 또한 회기분석을 통하여 좌굴응력을 간편하게 구할 수 있는 설계식을 도출하였으며, 수치해석 결과와 잘 일치하였다.
