The characteristics of deposits formed by the Daejon-cheon and Soobuk-cheon, dissecting the mountains such as Byungpung Mt. and Samin Mt. in western part of Damyang county, Jeonmam province. Results from field survey and bore hole logging by KIGAM are used in interpreting depositional environment, in this study. By the result of deposits near of the channels Daejon-cheon and Soobuk-cheon, and main channel of Youngsan River, the depth of sediment layers in this area is 4~7m, far thinner than formerly estimated. Weathered material of local rocks forms the base of the sedimentary layers. It can be assumed that the location channel of the Youngsan river has been stable ever since the start of the sedimentary events. Sediment particles of tributaries are angular than those of Youngsan River. Particles are larger and sorting is poor. It is interpreted as mount flash flood deposits. Main sources of sediments at the valley bottom or deposition dominated area are the terrace deposits or slope deposits over the gentle foot-slope or front of surrounding mountains. Some particles show polygonal cracking on the surface originated from the strong chemical weathering, while most of these has high angularity. It means various geomorphic processes operate to produce and transport the particles in this area.Isolated hills within the sedimentary plains are made with weathered materials of local bedrock. In the case of foot-slope of the hills, thin sedimentary layers are found. So it can be concluded that surface features of deposition zone of the Daejon-cheon and Soobuk-cheon is formed by the filling of lower part of the valley and its feature partly controlled by the relief of the weathering front.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in muscle thickness and ground reaction force of the vastus medialis oblique and vastus lateral oblique muscles during squats at ankle angles of toe 0°, toe in 10°, and toe out 10°. Methods: In this study, 9 male and 17 female students in their 20s participated in a randomized controlled trial and were compared according to the ankle angles of toe 0°, toe in 10°, and toe out 10°. To determine the reliability and measurement of muscle thickness according to ankle angle using ultrasound equipment and muscle thickness, the participants' ankle angles-toe 0°, toe in 10°, and toe out 10°-were measured three times at the vastus medialis oblique and vastus lateralis oblique muscles during squats. At the same time, the maximum vertical ground reaction force was measured with a force plate. A total of three measurements were taken and averaged, and two minutes of squat movements were assessed between ankle angles to prevent target action. Results: The results of this study illustrated that the reliability of the vastus medialis oblique muscles and vastus lateralis oblique muscles in ankle angle was high. The difference in muscle thickness was significantly greater in comparing the toe out 10° angle with the toe 0° angle than between toe in 10° and toe out 10° in vastus medialis oblique and vastus lateralis oblique (p < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the ankle angle of toe 0° and toe in 10° (p > 0.05). The maximum vertical ground reaction force was significantly greater at toe out 10° than at the ankle angle of toe 0° and toe out 10° and between toe in 10° and toe out 10° (p < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the comparison between toe 0° and toe in 10° (p > 0.05). Conclusion: Squatting at an ankle angle of toe out 10° increases the dorsi flexion; thus, the stability of the ankle and the thickness of both oblique muscles increased to perform more effective squats. In addition, as the base of support widens, it is thought that the stability of the posture increases so that squat training can be performed safely.
The objective of this study was to determine the effects of various kinds of composts on the amount of maximum composts in upland soils. Field experiments were conducted in the loam and sandy loam soils. Various kinds of composts such as poultry manure compost(PMC), cow manure compost(CMC), human excrement sludge(HES), and food industrial sludge compost(FISC) were applied annually at rates of 0, 40, and $80Mg\;ha^{-1}$ to soils grown with soybean and maize plants for 4 years during 1994 to 1997. The results of this study were as follows : Maize dry matter production was related linearly positively with application amount of compost, but soybean dry matter production was showed an apex at $60Mg\;ha^{-1}$, maize produced 4.7 times dry matter as compared to soybean. Rate of nitrogen utilization of maize were 21~31% and that of soybean were 8~19%, rate of phosphorous utilization of maize were 5~7% and that of soybean were l~2%. On the basis of biomass maximum application rates of poultry manure compost were $39{\sim}47Mg\;ha^{-1}$ for maize cultivation and $8{\sim}13Mg\;ha^{-1}$ for soybean cultivation. On the other hand those amounts estimated by nitrogen requirement of crops were 39~47 and $8{\sim}13Mg\;ha^{-1}$ for maize and soybean cultivation, respectively. Based on phosphorous requirement of crops those were 29 and $14Mg\;ha^{-1}$ for maize and soybean cultivation, respectively. Considering the upper limit of the base saturation percentage to be 80%, maximum application rates were 63~93 and $49{\sim}69Mg\;ha^{-1}$ in loam and sandy loam soil, respectively.

This study was aimed to investigate the improvement effects of kelp extract on the damaged hair by manufacturing hair quality improving formulation adding kelp extract and applying that in the damaged hair. With respect to the study materials, the formulation was manufactured with different strengths of kelp extract including 0, 2, 4, and 6 grams, adding perm base material. The manufactured formulation was applied to the decolored sample hair of Level 8 and its effects were measured and compared before and after its application. Tensile strength, absorbance using methylene blue, and gloss were measured as the tools to show the improvement effects of hair quality. To check the reliability of the results, statistical analysis was performed. Tensile strength showed to be increased in the Level 8 samples applied by the formulations containing 4- and 6-gram strength. Absorbance using methylene blue showed to be decreased in all the samples after the application, based on the absorbance results before and after the application. No difference was found in all the samples on the gloss. In conclusion, this study revealed that kelp extract could improve the damaged hair. Further studies are required to check the improvement effects on the damaged hair with multiple types of extracts and study methods.

Hydrocarbons containing carbon double bonds are generally called olefins and it is extensively used in petro-chemical industry as essential base material. Especially, olefins are essential in polymer synthesis and thus the effective separation and purification of olefins from gas mixture are very important and it gives significant positive effect on the future industrial development. In this study, we fabricated polymeric composite membrane based on poly(1-trimethylsilyl-1-propyne) (PTMSP) for propylene/nitrogen separation and enhancement of its separation performance by grafting amphiphilic copolymer. Furthermore, to accelerate facilitated transport for propylene molecules, Ag salt ($AgBF_4$) and ionic liquid ($EMIM-BF_4$) was incorporated to polymer composite membranes. The neat PTMSP membrane exhibited extremely high gas permeance and low gas selectivity due to its high free volume. To address this issue, PTMSP was grafted with poly(oxyethylene glycol methacrylate) (POEM) and poly(ethylene glycol) behenyl ether methacrylate (PEGBEM). Additionally, the additives such as $AgBF_4$ and $EMIM-BF_4$ further increased the propylene permeance, resulting in increment of propylene/nitrogen selectivity.

This study evaluated the tensile properties of SAPH440, a hot-rolled steel for automotive structural applications, based on GMAW lap welding, the welding current, the welding voltage, and the feed rate. Tensile tests were performed according to the joint parameters of the GMAW process, for which specimens were fabricated according to KS B ISO 9018 by lap welding. The bead appearance was observed in each condition, and the weldability was evaluated by the tensile test. Higher the welding current resulted in a deeper weld, but the tensile strength was not significantly different from when the parameter was fixed due to the fracture of the base material. When the current was higher than the voltage, as in the case of a welding current of 200 A and welding voltage of 17 V, a large amount of spatter is generated, the welding is unstable, and the welded part breaks. Higher the voltage resulted in the bead not causing defects in general, and it also affected the weldability. If the current and voltage were too low, the welding was not performed normally, and the tensile strength could not be measured. However, as the current increased, the increase of the voltage and the feed rate did not affect the tensile strength.
